The doctors and staff are all helpful and nice. However, their practice is too focused on use of electronic systems and focused on maximizing insurance reimbursement over patient care. When you make an appointment by phone, it is an automated system. That results in not scheduling appointments correctly for the issues you're having. Then you arrive and they tell you they can only see you for one of your medical issues due to insurance and need to make a separate appointment. But then if you make two separate appointments on the same day for your two different issues, they tell you they have to cancel one because insurance won't pay for two appointments. If I could just talk to a real person, this would have been avoided. They should be able to address both complaints and bill a level 5 E&M code. read more

Have had hearing aides for 30 years. Had very good service from 4 different providers over the years. Some more expensive than others. Had 2 pair from famous discount chain (stars with a "C") and very happy-but needed a new pair (hearing aids need replacing usually after 3+ years.) my spouse insisted I go to "professionals" not discount site-and I went along with the decision. Mistake! Ended up with very expensive aids that worked well for a time but now warranted is done and I can't get help with problem. I'm going back to the discount chain for 1/3 the cost and better service. read more

Steer clear! They do not train their allergy shot techs at all! I presented for my regular allergy shot and the tech had me state my name and DOB as usual. She was looking at the vial while I stated it. Then she set it down on the counter and started to draw the shot. Except - I saw the label and it was NOT my name OR DOB. It was someone else's. I immediately stopped her. If I had not said something she would have given me a shot with someone else's serum. stay away! Don't bother showing up on time for your "appointment". I had an appt scheduled for 8:20am, I arrived and checked it at 8:10am, I asked the receptionist at 8:45am if I had missed my name being called as people that arrived well after I had started being called back. I was told the "our average wait time is 30 minutes". They take people based off their appt time so if someone shows up 30 minutes after you but had an appt before yours they will be seen first. read more

So disappointed in Advanced ENT, I have been a patient for 9 years, never missed an appointment and never missed a payment. Today, I had a tele-med visit, did my online check-in and chose the pay later button, therefore, I didn't receive my link for my visit. I called the office to explain i had an appointment and didn't receive a link and they explained that I had to make the co-pay first. She rescheduled my appointment for later that day. In the meantime, the office calls and tells me before I can complete the 1pm appointment, I need to pay a 50.00 no-show appointment, I explained that I opened the app and waited 65 minutes. Noone seemed to care. Needless to say, I will no longer be a patient at Advanced ENT. Beware of their office procedures as they do not explain beforehand. read more

A big thank you to Advanced ENT & Allergy for their great care of my daughter when she had to recently get ear tubes. After suffering from six ear infections over a handful of months, our pediatrician recommended that she get tubes to prevent fluid buildup. We were referred to Advanced ENT and Dr. Hodge. He concurred that tubes were needed, and the surgery was set. He made the process easy, and the procedure was very fast. My daughter was back at school the next day. This office seems very organized, and I was able to schedule appointments when I needed to. And best of all: My daughter had had significantly fewer ear issues. I thank Advanced ENT and Dr. Hodge for providing care and relief to my daughter. read more

Waited in line for an allergy shot before work and two people that came in behind me were shuttled in. One whined about having to be at work by 9:00 am. Well I came in before 8:00 am and stood in line back to the door. I had to be at work at 8:30. I asked the nurse behind the desk how long to get an allergy shot and she said about 5 min's. I spoke up after the other two went before me and they said that they lost my vial. Every time I come in this is the excuse. I thought that I would try on my lunch hour and I arrive 15 min. before they opened back up and there were 15 people in line and one nurse behind the counter. I could barely get in the door. If you can go somewhere else. Customer service stinks. How about Saturday hours so people can get in to get allergy shots. Why aren't there more than one nurse at the front desk? Why not stagger lunch breaks and start times so that patients can get in and get out? Hire more people? You just accepted another 1,000 patients from another doctor's office. What plan is in place to accommodate them? read more

I have been going to see Dr. Yantis at the Breckenridge Lane location for about 3 years now. I really don't have a problem with him. My problem is that I have called three times and sent a chat message about my visit from 9:25 that I was supposed to have a prescription called into my pharmacy and it's never been called into my pharmacy. I've checked with the pharmacy. I've called into this location three times, left three messages and did a chat message and still as of October 20th. I have not heard back from anyone except for them to keep sending me reminders that I have a balance. read more

I was trying to get a prescription refilled that my pharmacy faxed into the office with no response and I can't even speak to a human. Tried to use the message service and it's been over 4 hours and still no response. Worst service ever, I will be finding a new Dr. today. Went to a physician there to start allergy shots, with the clear assumption from my first visit that I wanted to be able to give myself shots at home. He agreed that wouldn't be a problem, but that I would need to take the first three there in the office to make sure everything was OK (which I totally understood). After my first third shot I told the technician I wanted to be able to take my vials home, at which point they told me that I had to show them I had an EpiPen before they would release the serum. That also sounded reasonable, so my next time in I brought the EpiPen. Then I was told I was going to have to go to what they called "injection school" - which no one had ever mentioned to me - and that would not be available for approximately six weeks. This was extremely disappointing. On top of this, I went to get an allergy shot last week and after waiting 40 minutes I finally approached the desk and asked why people who had arrived after me had already been cleared for their injections. Two different technicians came out and asked me, "Are you sure you didn't take your vials with you?". I assured them I had not - and they told me they had evidently been lost and would have to be reordered. The entire process there has been extremely disappointing. I went to their website today to try to find someone to reach out to about the matter, but other than their generic phone number (which has an AI component to it that takes forever to navigate) there was no other outreach to make anyone aware of the situation. Again, overall it's been an extremely disappointing situation. read more

They from desk staff are rude and unfortunately the staff that administer injections are overwhelmed. this caustic environment leads to turnover which swirls deeper and faster at this practice(Breckinridge Lane)practice. The software change where they failed to migrate patient data over will eventually close this practice. patients wait and wait for a 30 second injection. read more

Wait an hour for a 15 second allergy shot... what takes so long and why is it a few minutes one week and an hour the next?

This was only my second visit to Advanced ENT and Allergy, and I am still convinced that this is the right ENT for me. I also think this is the first review since they moved to their new building. The building is new, and you can tell that the construction teams are still putting the finishing touches on the facility. The new building is huge. Enormous, even. The interior is spacious and the color palette is not what you'd normally think of in a doctor's office. The exam rooms are a dark grey, which I found warming as opposed to white of off-white that is often encountered in medical facilities. Light oak accent colors and a lot of windows in both waiting rooms make the rooms feel very much alive. As you enter, the ENT services are on the left, the Allergy services are on the right. I normally see Dr. Amy Ingram, but she wasn't available so I opted to see another doctor, given what I had going on. That ended up being Dr. McMurry. But before the doctor, a CT scan.' WHAT?!?!?! Ayeap, a CT scan so the doctor could see what I have going on inside my head. If you'd have told me I'd be having a CT scan when I got up on Wednesday morning I'd have looked at you like you had 3 heads. Well..SURPRISE! It turns out they have a CT Scanner (I don't know the technical name) on site. That's a helluva time saver. Fast forward to after the CT scan. Dr. McMurry came in an asked a few questions and said that he was glad I had the scan because it helped shed light on what was going on. He could see where I'd had two sinus surgeries and explained how those affected the condition I was currently in. Dr. McMurry was very informative and didn't talk at Doctor Level, but at Patient Level, while his assistant (Brittany) took notes on a laptop. About 10 minutes later I was on my way with a prescription that, I hope, will fix my things that ENTs specialize in. Everyone I encountered on this visit was friendly and helpful, and the new facility is very much a step up from the Dupont location. It's easy to get into the parking lot, but not so easy to get out onto Breckenridge, especially after 4pm on a work day (next time I shall schedule my appointment more wisely). End of the day, I really like the treatment I get at Advanced ENT and Allergy. I think my ENTs are in good hands. :) read more

I don't even know where to start, I have a 24 yr old beautiful daughter that has Down Syndrome and autism. Since birth my daughter has been plagued with upper respiratory and ear infections. When she was a baby till age of 18 our ENT were through U of L and we were she was always treated with the utmost respect until yesterday 7/17/25 when we went for a referred visit to Dr Gregory Abass . He totally discriminated against my daughter and told me to throw away her current meds for her drainage and increase her fluids. I inquired about a sleep home study or hospital setting as she snores and is a open mouth sleeper, he told me that she probably wouldn't do it or she would not be compliant which he doesn't even know my child and even if it came back that she had sleep apnea that she probably would not be a candidate to wear the apparatus . Again he is making assumptions about my child that he doesn't even know her. In her 24 years of life this is the third physican that has discriminated against her because of her having down syndrome and it is despicable. This physician was about as friendly as a cobra totally dismissing my daughters upper respiratory illness. Also the medical assistant that was screening us before we were seen by the doctor never took any vitals from Lydia , no blood pressure did not listen to her heart. Even the physician never even looked in her ears. This physicianis the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with regarding my daughters medical issues. I will be seeking further counsel on this matter. Do not make an appointment with Dr. Gregory Abass if you have a child with special needs!! There is special place in hell for people that treat intellectually disabled individuals the way that physician treated my daughter!!! read more

First of all, I was referred to this location for an allergy test. They still set me up with an initial appointment, which I paid a $200 copay for, for them to confirm that yes, I needed an allergy test. I went to said allergy test. Partway through the test, I started to feel off and asked for some water. The tech left the room, at which point I proceeded to pass out unsupervised and fell from standing height. I have a black eye and received 8 stiches from this fall. I was told someone would follow up in the next week to make sure I was doing okay. No one followed up. When I returned to get my stiches removed from an on-staff plastic surgeon, I expressed my concerns about a concussion, as I was experiencing symptoms, but no one had checked me for head injuries after my fall. I asked if I should see another doctor or change activity to recover from the concussion. He more or less laughed said I would "probably be fine". I am terrified of returning to an allergist to get another test so I will probably just deal with my allergies now. I would rather get another black eye than return to this office. read more

Went in for 4th sinus infection of the year (2023) Wait time over an hour. Paid $40 copay for specialist. Was unexpectedly given ear exam which I thought was part of sinus infection because I had earache, headache, nasal drip & throat problems. But NOOOO! Come to find out 1month later I was charged an ADDITIONAL $40 for hearing exam which I never asked for & DID NOT NEED! Actual Dr. was late, dismissive & arrogant. Only wanted to schedule me for a hospital procedure I didn't need! Tried to discuss billing about the unexpected hearing thing & personell didn't answer or left RUDE messages on my phone. These people are SCAMMING us & not being up front about what they're doing! EIGHTY DOLLARS for NOTHING!!!!! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT EVER GO HERE!! I would give NO stars if I could!!!! read more

We have been patients of this practice for over 12 years, but at his last appointment my son was supposed to get a hearing test which, after waiting in the hallway between the exam room and the audiology lab for at least an hour, they told us they'd wait to take care of in 6 months. Today, after confirming our follow-up appointment (scheduled 6 months ago) via the app, we braved the icy roads for that 6-month checkup, only to learn that the provider was at a different location, no one else was covering, and the only other appointments offered were months from now. I don't know why their communication and scheduling systems are so much worse than they used to be, but I don't intend to stick around to wait for improvements. read more

That was a direct quote from Dr. Kali Gerace (yes, the Dr. not an assistant) regarding our son when she thought the phone call had ended and didn't know she was being recorded. This Dr. would have our 5 year old son be poked and prodded in his back, have us ask off work without pay and sit in their office for hours of testing just to get more money. The Dr. simply wanted us to stop asking questions so she told us he would need allergy testing (even though he got it a year ago), sure enough when she thought the phone call had ended she said to her assistant "if they want to make a fuss, test him". Instead of genuinely caring about the patients and providing care they actually need, she wanted to charge us for something possibly unnecessary. This is the very reason people have lost trust in the healthcare system. Needless to say, we wont be getting that testing done there and she will not be receiving another dollar from us. I see great reviews of this place but I personally wasn't impressed. My doctor sent me to Advanced ENT because I was having dizziness and vertigo, thinking it was related to my ear. The first appointment I had ran over an hour late. I had to leave without seeing a doctor because I had another appointment elsewhere. I rescheduled and the doctor I saw told me to just get used to the vertigo and dizziness because it happens when we get older, I'm only 66. I went to another ENT Specialist and she sent me to PT, because she suspected my neck was causing the issues. She was correct, there was a problem with my neck that was causing eye and neck issues, vertigo and dizziness. Thankfully PT helped get rid of all my symptoms. I do not recommend this place. read more

SCAM!!! Please save your money and peace and do not go here! This is gonna be a long review but PLEASE read it and SAVE your money! I did not wanna write this but I have reached out to them with no solution so the best I can do is warn others from falling for the same. I went in as a new patient to get my sinuses checked out after multiple infections in the recent past. When I walked in the assistant took me into a room and said "I am gonna spray some numbing spray in your nose so the doctor can come look at you". What she failed to tell me is this is called nasal endoscope and will cost me $332 on top of the $310 they charge to see you at the office. I tried to speak to the billing office who was rude and said that I had signed a form prior to going in to the office that I am responsible for any other bills. I agree that I am responsible for the bills but I also expect them to be transparent and inform me what they are doing to me. I then decided to read through my notes to see what everything was. This is where things get ugly. There are multiple false things in my notes. My notes says they palpated (medical term to feel with hands) my head to check for masses. NOT TRUE! If in 6 months I have a mass on my head that could have been detected now, this doctor missed a chance to do his job but wrote on the note that everything was normal. My note says they tried to do a less invasive (potentially free) speculum inspection and apparently could not find anything which is why they did the nasal endoscopy. Also NOT TRUE! My note says they discussed I have nasal septum deviation and that if issues related to it continues there are options like surgery. Guess what NOT TRUE! I learned I have nasal septum deviation by reading these notes. The thing with this is, I have no way of proving any of this. This makes it easy for them to deny all of this. My options are to shut up and pay the bill. Or try to sue this UNETHICAL BUSINESS (I wouldn't call it a practice) but suing someone for $332 is not a viable option. But if they are doing this to 100 patients in a week you can expect the amount of money this BUSINESS is making. Lastly, I spoke with their practice manager on March 15th and she said this is what they do to anyone coming in with any sinus related issues and that I am out of luck because I signed a consent form. I asked her if I could see a copy of this consent form. She said she will email it to me in the next couple of minutes. It took me 11 DAYS and multiple phone calls, voicemails and people to finally send me a copy of the consent form. She also agreed and apologized that it was wrong to falsely write on my notes that they tried to do a nasal speculum inspection. She said she will have the doctor amend this in my notes. My assumption is that she wanted to wait till the doctor amended the notes so they are safe. To conclude, medical offices and procedures are hard to understand for most people. After all, I am paying them 100s of dollars to spend less than 30 minutes of their time, so I would at-least expect my notes to be ACCURATE. I expect my doctor and their office to be transparent in the care they provide. This is not that place. I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

Do NOT SCHEDULE WITH THIS PRACTICE. Today at 10:01Am, I received a call from Advanced ENT cancelling my 10:30Am appointment. This is the FOURTH cancellation in a row from this practice. August 4th I had an appointment at 1:30Pm. When I arrived I was told that the doctors assistant whom I was scheduled to see had delivered her baby two days before. Appt. was rescheduled for August 19th. This appt was cancelled by the office for unexplained reasons, same day and rescheduled for Sept 9th. On Sept 9th I received a call at 12:50Pm cancelling my 1:30Pm appt because Michael Beasley, the technician I was scheduled to see, had to leave work due to a family emergency. The appt was rescheduled for today, Sept 15 at 10:30Am. This appt was canceled today at 10:01Am because Michael Beasley "isn't feeling well" This is unacceptable in any practice. There is something inherently wrong with this practice and it's procedures. I'm finding a new ENT read more

Dr Ingram was very kind, but there was absolutely no follow up to my test results despite emails and phone messages. I went about a sore throat I had had for over two weeks, which is no better after four weeks now. Maybe the worst run medical practice to which I have ever been. You cannot get a person on the phone and cannot access a portal to obtain any results. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I had a procedure scheduled and I made sure to ask about the recovery because we were leaving for vacation a couple days after. I was told that there is no recovery and I was ok to have it done right before. I show up the day of the procedure and the nurse tells me that I can't swim, lift, or exercise for 7 days, I am not able to go to work that day or the next, and I have 7 days that I need to do nasal rinses. They also said they sent me a packet with after care, which was a lie because I was never given any paperwork for this procedure. I asked why I wasn't told that when I made the appointment and I wasn't given an answer. I said I wasn't going to do the procedure because of vacation and I wanted to swim. Then they said I could wear ear plugs, I have 2 small children and I need to be able to hear them at the beach so that wouldn't work. Then they said to just swim but that I would probably get an infection. Yeah, that sounds like fun on vacation. So, I cancelled it and got a bill for $150. I asked why and it was because I cancelled the appointment. I was lied to and then charged. Stay away from this place, such a joke that they lie and then charge me a fortune. Ugh read more

I work full time. I had an appointment for 11:30 AM for an allergy shot that I urgently need. I arrived at 11:37 and the lady in the front, I don't know her name but a young Latina girl told me they had stopped giving shots at 11:30AM. So I wasted my time and drove all the way for nothing and this lady very calmly says to come back in a week if I'm working. Such a level of indifference. Obviously she is not the one feeling sick from allergies. Extremely insensitive. If they close so strictly at 11:30 AM why do they even give appointments at that time??? Why are they so inflexible when we as patients have to wait sometimes for a long time to be seeing ? The level of insensitivity blows my mind. They can probably get away with it now and laugh about it but karma will get back to them. read more

Dr. Ingram is fantastic. Great Dr. frankly. But her support staff/team is a huge let down. I was scheduled for a Balloon Sinuplasty 25 days prior to the surgery. They waited till 6 days before the surgery to submit the pre-authorization to my insurance company. The day before the surgery I get a phone call from their office telling me that my insurance company was taking too long to authorize and thus they must reschedule the appt. Normally I would've been irritated with the insurance company, but then I asked them when they submitted. When I found out it was only 6 days prior to the surgery, 5 days prior to this call to me, I was frustrated with Advanced ENT. I had moved appointments and meetings at work, found people to cover critical meetings for me, had to reschedule commitments for my children, wife, family, etc to make this surgery date work. All for naught because they couldn't bother to submit paperwork in a timely fashion. While I'm quite aggravated, I didn't wan to give them 1 star. I gave them 2 stars because the facilities were nice and clean and the Dr was great. She sat and spoke with me to help me understand my options and wasn't rushed. But their lack of diligence around pre-work on a surgery when people have lives that get moved around is a big let down. So, now I'm moving records and business all to another ENT in the area. This is a horrible practice! You can never get anyone to return your calls even though the voice mail says they return calls within 24 hrs.its been over 2 weeks and 4bmore calls still no response. They sent my husband for a surgery consult we waited 5 weeks for the appointment only to get there and the doctor we were sent to doesn't do the type surgery my husband needs . I'm now partially deaf in my left ear because of what I feel like Dr. Gould did. Never was I told it could take up to 3 to 4 surgeries to fix the issue (his assisant told me). First he did a trial patch where he burned the edges around the hole in my ear drum so the patch would adhere, but it didn't work. Keep in mind all this was going on during covid. Then surgery, which didn't work either. Had I been told I would have gotten a second opinion concerning my ear. After all its what you hear with. So i'm being told I have scar tissue and nerve damage and hearing will never get better!!!!!!!~PISSED read more

After reading some of the reviews, I almost canceled my appointment. I AM SO GLAD I DID NOT! My experience was completely cordial, punctual, professional, and above all thorough. They completed my exam and explained the findings. This is a good choice for ENT treatment. The only reason, I did not give 5 stars is the automated text message to verify your appointment. I found it somewhat confusing, which may be why some arrived to find their appointment had been canceled. Suspect they may have pressed a reply to cancel when they meant to confirm. read more

This place a 3 ring circus with nobody knowing what's going on in the other rings. SO I left here as a patient and I just want a copy of my records. A request was already sent last week. I just want to pick them up they don't even have to mail them. I have to go on my lunch break so I just want them ready when I get there because this whole group is such a joke . On the endless voice recording of options to hit it tells you to print it out and fax in the from the fax # is on the form. No even this is wrong you can fill it out on line and submit. Then when I call to make sure they have I get dumped in the voice mail where you have to choice who to talk to and enter a name first. I have no idea who works in medical records. I was on the phone call 8 minutes to get a live person. this call I have been on it 14 minutes so far and still haven't got to talk to a live person in medical records. My doctor wanted them before my next appointment , I should have told him we should just take another but they don't want to xray your head to many time in a year and I guess insurance wont pay for it. Its really sad Im going to have to take off from work just to get some medical records. I should send them a bill for the inconvenience, time from work lost and frustration they cause. they are super ridiculous. We should be able to give negative stars. 17minutes and holding on this phone call alone already. Here is an Update to earlier today: After spending about 35 minutes on the phone mostly on hold expressing I need a copy of the ct scan many times, the retards in the office sent me notes of the scan. I should have expected this is bad as they are. To be honest I could have got better service from pre k kids because at least they would have tried and been nice. It would have beat the horrible experience I have had every time with this office. Which is why I left and just want a copy of a ct scan. But apparently that is just to much for the incompetent, stupid and lazy staff here. To Employers reading this if they have advanced ent and allergy on the resume skip them , worst employees ever. My new dr asked was it advanced ent I was going to after I named the dr. I said I could not call them advanced in any way. Maybe advanced retardation and ENT, but that would give people with natural birth defects a bad name to associate then with the horrible staff . Can you believe the dr actually told me to drink more water ,(I already drink 6 a day) like that's the cure to sinusitis. I was not dehydrated mind you. I had to go to the Walgreens Clinic to actually get care after paying for a dr visit. I could get better care and advice from a first year nursing student. I have used this practice for ear nose and throat issues for years l, and do recommend Hodge, but if they advise apnea testing, go elsewhere. This needs managed and they are not equipped to do that; both gals running this have repeatedly failed to return phone calls. You need management with sleep apnea, and someone who can't bother to call you back isn't what you want during this diagnosis. read more

Terrible service. The MD I've dealt with is fine - everything else: terrible. They don't respond to messages; they can't answer your questions on the phone; when you order something, it takes forever; it's a bona fide cluster F. They're just either too big or simply poorly managed. I would not recommend them to anyone. Maybe someone I really didn't like. read more
