My husband and I stopped in here for the first time on a Saturday (no appointment needed to look at frames) in December. We didn't know much about the place, expect for some reviews we had read online. He really wanted some new frames that 'didn't look like all the others.' Enter Discerning Eye. We arrived to a bustling shop and were greeted right away. This place is a feast for the eyes. So many beautiful frames to try on. Eclectic, funky, artsy, and unique describe what they have to offer. After a few minutes of browsing, Emily came over to assist us. She is awesome. She stayed with us during our entire visit. My husband tried on several different frames, asked lots of questions, and we were in and out in less than two hours. We never felt rushed while we were there, despite how busy they were. Frames are organized by designer. Bargain frames are in the basement. We intend to go back and check those out at some point. They had a trunk show going on the day we visited, so it was quite the overall experience. Snacks, CHAMPAGNE, and a prize basket (we received $30 off a pair of frames). She as given 1 sample pair that they had her put in while she was there & they threw the packaging away so she wouldn't have the brand or prescription. She still has not gotten her prescription nor will they release it. They have been telling her for the last 9 months that they ordered her contacts but she still has not received them and they want her to go in for yet another eye exam!! We are changing eye doctors!
