Not just "drill and fill", but root canals, extractions, dentures, IMPLANTS, and more. Medical and cosmetic. As a visiting patient, I have come to learn of Dr. Bayati's knowledge of engineering and architecture. (He rebuilds airplane engines!) These knowledges compliment dentistry. Understanding the way various shaped teeth apply pressure when you bite, and how to design various prosthetics and/or implants to ensure maximum hold and correct bite. And much much more that I'm sure I do not understand. But as a patient and an observer, I realize that this additional understanding is very complimentary. We tried another dentist in town (Oelwein Dental Associates), and everything about it made him really concerned to try another dentist in this area. I'm glad that we did. Berryman has done a fantastic job with us. When I first scheduled to get in, they found an appointment for a new client within a month. Every appointment since then has been made within a month. They happily work with our insurance, and we've never had any billing issues. On some procedures, they do work out how much insurance won't cover (crowns, for example) and ask you to pay that up-front before they do the procedure - which was really odd billing for me, but as long as they don't double-charge, I don't really mind. Best of all, Berryman has done really well with him. He lets him listen to music during procedures, he is really friendly and gentle with him, he uses more painkillers when needed, and he generally has been an all-around gentle and fantastic dentist to work with. My partner still doesn't like going to the dentist, but it's a whole lot less of a fight. And unlike our previous dental experiences (which left him in pain for at least a week or two afterwards - even on simple cleanings), this one only seems to have about a day of residual soreness and then everything is fine. We're much, much happier. (FYI: We recently moved to Cedar Falls, and he still comes back here for dental work because he loves it so much.)

It is hard to find a good Dentist in the Cedar Rapids area, so I'm more than happy to make the short drive to Center Point. Both Dr. Andersen and Dr. Hickey are always kind, trustworthy and have their patients best interest at heart and are not looking for extra ways to charge you. Many friends have left their current Dentist to go to Dr. Andersen. All are much more satisfied with the quality, friendliness, and trustworthiness. Finally broke down after 6 years of avoiding dentists and made an appointment with Oelwein Dental…read moreAssociates. When I called they were actually able to book me for the next day due to a cancellation and I got my husband scheduled for only 3 weeks out. The building is very nice and all the equipment is up to date. They have chairs that give a bit of a massage (it's very subtle, but there) and have a tv on to help distract. The hygienist was very friendly and talked me through all the steps as we went through them. Being dental work, nothing was 100% comfortable, but there was minimal pain and discomfort. My appointment took longer than I had expected, but I also had to have fresh xrays and a full cleaning (lots to chip off since it had been so long). The Dentist went over the photos and xrays they took with me on the tv screen, so it was nice having a visual while he talked about my teeth. Overall a nice and friendly experience and would go back if I'm still in the area next year.

This business is a laughing joke…read more I don't normally leave negative reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. I was referred by TWO different dentists for a root canal and drove 2.5 hours to Eastern Iowa Endodontics because I trusted their expertise. Instead, I was told I didn't need a root canal and only needed a filling. Even more concerning, the doctor told me I never had an infection. The first thing I did after leaving was call my referring dentist. They immediately pulled up my X-rays and confirmed there had been an infection documented. So now I'm left wondering how two referring dentists could identify the same issue, yet this office dismissed it entirely. I wasted an entire day, fuel, and hours of driving only to feel rushed out the door and treated like my concerns didn't matter. I left with more questions than answers and zero confidence in the care I received. I also have serious concerns about what was billed to my insurance for this visit and will be requesting an itemized bill and reviewing it with my insurance company. If anything appears inaccurate, I won't hesitate to report it to the appropriate agencies. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office. If you're referred here, don't be afraid to seek a second opinion before accepting what you're told.
