When you go on your re-certification appt, they tell you to upload all items in advance but the cannabis doctor I spoke to at the appt was reading everything in front of me anyways. I had my meeting a few days in advance to the deadline as is normal - and she told me that she would re-certify me once possible. I went to the dispensary 2 weeks later to find that she did not re-certify me, so I could not pick up my medication until I got in touch with Green Health Docs. Like me, you may suffer from chronic pain and can't be bothered with companies that will take your payment in advance, claim that you are getting re-certified, but then never actually do the work they were paid to do.

So I scheduled my appointment on-line to be texted that the on-line scheduler was malfunctioning and I couldn't be seen until Monday at 7pm by Dr Sharma, himself. I told him I wanted the appointment and he confirmed via text (see photo). I showed up tonight to 5 other people in the waiting room also with 7pm appointments. Dr Sharma asked me to come back at 8pm, but I was unable to do that. There seems to be no office management at all. And I paid $20 to be treated this way ($20 pre-pay to book an appointment on-line).

I had a weird skin grown on my hand and his recommendation was to use more lotion. WTF?! I need medication for ADHD. none of the other formulations have worked for me in the past, so for a whole I gave up. I recently went back and requested the same exact medication that my kids use. It works well for them. He wanted to start me off at a very low dose. I informed him that dosage was even lower than what my daughter uses, and she weighs less than a third of what I weigh. I may not be a doctor, but I do know simple, chemistry, body weight matters in regards to chemicals and medication. He refused and started me at 15 mg. My very small daughter takes 20. I don't blame him for this next part. The insurance company refused to pay for it without prior authorization, despite them having been paying for this stud for my kids for the last few years. But I do blame him for not wanting to do the prior authorization. It's a simply bloody fax. When I went back this week for my 30 day follow up, I requested to have 30 mg. He tells me it's going to require prior authorization again because he's changing the dosage and if they ask for prior authorization again, he can't do it because he doesn't have the manpower. It takes too much effort. His exact damn words. I said to him, I told you this would be a problem. I told you I wanted to start at 30 to begin with. He snapped at me and tells me if I raise my voice at him he's going to kick me out. Mind you, I wasn't yelling. But of course, a black person being upset is like yelling at a non-black person. We are always perceived as a threat. Time to find a new doctor.

I called ahead and was told there was a 15-minute grace period. I walked in at 11:16 AM, and Dr. Parikh flat-out refused to see me, providing zero explanation or flexibility for being one minute late. As a first-time expectant mom, these appointments mean the world to me. To be turned away after an hour of stressful driving was heartbreaking, but the attitude of the staff made it worse. The receptionists were completely unsympathetic and acted like I was a bother. A little kindness or a simple smile would have gone a long way, especially since turning me away means waiting another three weeks for an appointment. I ultimately decided not to reschedule. This experience completely ruined my trust in this practice, and I will not be returning.

He's an integral part of the medical expert team for this Crohns patient! I became intrigued in the whole "medical concierge" principle after my well-esteemed, knowledgeable and kind doctor of 10 years moved to Florida. This loss served as one less reason to tolerate the intolerably inefficient and rude "front desk" personnel and extremely long waits (first in the waiting area and then yet again in the exam room). To add insult to injury, I was reassigned to a doctor that lacked in so many ways; including proper communication... (what doctor switches medicine dosages at refill and cancels surgery days before it happens with absolutely no advance notice. Then, the arrogant attitude of this unselected "replacement" doc was the cherry on top of a gut wrenching sundae. I was able to temporarily move to another doctor within the practice until I could move to a new practice. I met Dr. Mintz in early 2018 at at event and then did my own research on concierge medical services. I had heard of it before as being almost like having a doctor on call. Easy appointments, ease of communication (email, phone call, text, etc), NEARLY ZERO wait time for doctor appointments, ease of scheduling, easy billing, no administration burden, quick (sometimes even same day appointments). What is there not to appreciate. The best part was, to my very surprise, it is very affordable (less than I pay for a monthly gym membership). It was something I definitely wanted to try, so I enrolled in February and have been there ever since. I don't envision myself anywhere else (so long as he doesn't move to Florida ;), and it is not just because of the concierge aspect either. Dr. Matthew Mintz is truly a stand-up gentleman! I warned him in advance that I would be a difficult patient (with a nearly unmanageable case of Crohns!), but he didn't even flinch! He's a very kind-hearted, caring doctor. I don't ever feel judged about my medical issues/questions or talked down to (despite the fact that he's the expert and medicine is not my field). He keeps me well-informed of test updates, notes from specialists, his own recommendations, treatment options and always takes the time to answer questions thoroughly and do follow-up research as necessary. He takes pride in his practice, respects his clients and seeks to make medicine more practical/accessible/easy. I definitely trust him with my health and am happy to have become acquainted with his practice. He also takes great pride in helping others, frequently teaching and providing experience to interns.
