She and her team did a flouride rinse towards the end of my dental visit without me confirming or even asking and ended up charging me dozens of dollars for it. When I went to pay for my visit, I said I never authorized it but her staff shrugged and said I got it and I have to pay for it. Usually they ask first since it's not a required thing to do. Now the much more concerning thing. During another visit, I had an appointment before lunchtime. She did most of the appointment before lunch but then left the filling in of a tiny hole in the side of my incisor teeth for after lunch. I'm not sure why but okay. This procedure involved taking what looked like essentially a strip which is the hardness of like a tape measure, like very hard and sharp edges, and running it between the teeth in a quick motion so that the white strip leaves the hole filled in. The huge problem was that as she came in after lunch, while I was still laying in the chair for so long, she was humming, she appeared disoriented and dazed, and she did not acknowledge me verbally. It was like she couldn't speak. It was very strange to me. She did a procedure incompetently and when she did the quick motion of running the strip between my teeth it sliced me open, leaving me profusely bleeding, gushing blood from my gums, and in horrific searing pain and she just whistled through it. Her reaction wasn't even shocked or apologetic. In fact, she never said sorry. Oddly, she just hummed through it. Hot tears filled my eyes, pain coursed through my gums and mouth, and I yelped in extreme pain. She didn't care. She dabbed up the blood and kept humming. This is horrific. I quit being her patient immediately that day and found another dentist. The least of the problems. I hope she has gotten better but take of this what you will. It was that seriously disturbing that I vowed never to go back to this practice again. I went to her because she had been featured as one of the best dentists in Bethesda or the DC region in DC's magazine. Absolutely not based on these experiences, especially the latter one which actually hurt me with significant, shocking pain.

Although he presented it as assistance, I felt uncomfortable and pressured to comply. He posted reviews without my consent. He spent several minutes using my phone to post reviews about his practice on multiple platforms. In my opinion, patients should never be asked to write reviews while the provider is standing over them, and a provider should never take control of a patient's personal device to post reviews on the patient's behalf. I also referred a friend to the practice. She later told me that while she was undergoing a procedure, reviews were posted from her accounts without her knowledge. Phone was used without her consent, My experience left me feeling that my privacy and autonomy were not respected. Patients should be free to decide whether and when to leave reviews, without pressure or anyone else using their personal devices.
