This review is based on my experience with Heather and Justin, Physical Therapist at Bayada. I did…read morehave a dedicated RN and OT but majority of my visits were with Heather and Justin. Justin was very nice and helpful. He conducted his evaluation and gave me tips on what I can do for healing and made sure I did the exercises with him. Now for Heather! Her personality and kind attitude sets her apart from other PTs. She smiles with her eyes, she's caring and very informative. She was my in home therapist for 3 months and she helped me so much. She explained the exercises thoroughly and tailored it to what I needed work on. She listens clearly and I recall one day when I had a breakdown and cried she was there to talk me through it. I am a stroke survivor so someone having empathy like that means a lot to me. Before therapy I always got dizzy, barely walked and weak. After therapy, I walk the correct way with my walker and cane, I move my eyes then head to avoid getting dizzy and lastly, she also taught me how to get up if I fall on the ground. That is important to me. If you ever use Bayada, ask to have Justin and Heather. Thank you Bayada Home Health.

The 1 Nurse using a digital blood pressure cuff he checked BP, pulse and temperature. Thats it. Terrible luck with the OT Occupational Therapists. 1st OT Rose Aggressive, moves too fast and expect too much. 2nd OT Tiffany Pushed a patient with lung problems to exhaustion. 3rd OT Tina shows up without an appointment with no text or calls and expects us just let her in.

The worst experience ever. Avoid like the plague. My husband's in-home treatment ended in…read moreSeptember, and he got a call today (Nov. 21) saying that his shower chair was denied by insurance. What shower chair? We bought our own in AUGUST. We did not want or need a second shower chair, and I'm pissed that one was "ordered" and an invoice sent to our insurance company without my approval. The physical therapist, Mike, and the nurse, Jun, were excellent. But the rest of our experience was BAD. My husband had surgery in August and this is unfortunately the company that was recommended to us. I regret not doing my research first. They get you by having multiple people visit every week: physical therapist, nurse and occupational therapist. The "occupational therapist" whose name begins with J was a real piece of work. She was rude and combative with my husband every time she came. She refused to remove her shoes or put booties on to walk in our home like everyone else does, so my daughter and I had to physically put them on her feet. She said she couldn't bend down to do it. Really? She complained because my husband was upstairs because that meant she had to go up a flight of stairs. Oh, the horror! On the last week she was to come, it was to be on Tuesday and Thursday. Keep in mind that my husband derived zero benefit from her coming and we did not want her in our home but had no choice. She called on Monday to say that she couldn't come on Tuesday and Thursday and would come on Wednesday instead, which was inconvenient for us, but my husband was agreeable and said okay. When she arrived, she again made a stink about putting booties on (which I had to once again physically put on her) and walking up a flight of stairs. Then she proceeded to raise her voice and scold my husband, "You're not on my route today. It's out of my way!" To which he said: "You are the one who rescheduled for today, not me." When he mentioned that he still needed assistance putting on socks, she told him he needed a sock caddy. He told her the one the hospital had given him was too small. She argued loudly with him that it was not (even though she hadn't seen it) to the point where he had to dig it out to show her that it was too small. I was in the next room and could hear the way she was talking to my husband and I was one step away from going in there and physically throwing her out of my home. Also, each visit was supposed to be for 15 minutes, but she stayed for approx. 10 minutes. She couldn't get out fast enough. On another occasion, she said I needed to make copies of a form she had. She had forgotten to make copies. I pushed back saying why would I have to make copies for your company, and she argued. I made the copies but I was annoyed. I didn't care for her attitude. If she talked to my husband this way (and he's in his 50s) imagine how she talks to older people. She's incompetent, rude and ignorant. I find it hard to believe the is an actual occupational therapist. I will be contacting the Joint Commission and Nevada Department of Health and Human Services to file a complaint against this company. Do your loved ones a favor and avoid Alta Home Health Care.

I had a clinician in my home within 4 hours of calling, and she was also thorough, kind, and candid in her assessment. I loved that a technician traveled with her so she didn't have to chart, and she could focus on putting my strange symptoms together, make an accurate diagnosis, and arrange a series of medications to be called in directly to my pharmacy. The best part? The visit was more affordable than urgent care under my insurance plan, and I got to be treated in my home. I considered not posting this review, because I don't want too many people to know about Doctoroo, but my experience was too great to stay quiet. I will definitely be reaching out again in the future (but, hopefully, I won't have to too soon.)

The facility is beautiful in a Tuscan theme. The staff is amazing, they are the nicest empathetic group of people. The food is a good variety. We thought his recovery was an extreme longshot at best. However, thanks to the truly superb staff, he was able to slowly but successfully regain his ability to walk as well as a lot of his abilities to be somewhat independent. This would not have been possible without the amazing medical assistants, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, wound care specialists, case managers and even their maintenance man. When dad first arrived, and for most of his stay, he was completely dependent on AHC staff for bathing, toileting, getting food, and all. The staff was so attentive, patient and understanding (he did get grumpy and stubborn at times as he was dealing with a lot of medical issues;-) They never missed a beat and motivated him to keep working hard and improving. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this AHC for rehab. A few names I must recognize: Himani, Jordan (therapists), Mary, Janet and Chanel (the CNA's), Luz the head nurse, her daughter the woundcare specialist (forgot her name:-) and Arnelle the maintenance man. Arnelle didn't even have anything to do with patient care, but he had such a positive, smiling and motivational presence and got to know our dad and kept him smiling and laughing on a daily basis which is hard to do when someone has just lost their independence and is in pain. A huge thank you to the entire team; they are really like a family.
