The Houpis agency decided not to be brokers for Erie and just decided to switch people to another insurance without consulting us. I didn't want to be switched to MetLife so I left a message with my agent at Houpis, Weisberg and Scharff stating that I didn't want to switch. I still got mailings from MetLife making it seem like I was going to be switched. We ended up going to a different Erie insurance broker.

I had fixed the chip out of pocket, but the claim was linked to my car on Lexus Nexus showing that I had comprehensive damage. When trying to move away from State Farm due to poor service, my insurance quotes because of this false claim were very high. I was told by staff in Todd's office that there wasn't anything they could do, I would have to plead my case with Lexus Nexus myself. Another issue....after leaving this office, I continue to receive bills in the mail and when I have called Todd's office, I am told I don't owe anything. I called the office today and was told again that the balance was zero. They said the bill was from the corporate office- it has Todd's name at the bottom to call for any questions. I asked for a callback today with a resolution and no word....I called back this afternoon and left a message because they didn't answer the phone. Very disappointing!!

Car seats unsafe after they've been in an accident, so we have had no way to safely drive our twin toddlers to school for over a week now. When I called CCS to ask if I could just purchase new car seats and be reimbursed, they told me that that was not possible since the order had already been placed. The customer service representative, Veronica, also told me that the car seats may not be delivered for another week. By then I will have been without car seats for two weeks. While I understand that shipping is retailer-dependent, CCS needs to ensure that car seats are overnighted and/or purchased from retailers with adequate shipping speeds or allow for insured parties to purchase car seats and be reimbursed.

The worst customer service. They rarely ever reply back to you even after repeated attempts. Once they get their foothold on commissions from your business they ignore you. I've had to get clarification on insurance terms, updates to coverage and annual renewals directly with the insurance company yet this awful insurance broker still collects their commission for doing nothing. They don't deserve it. I have complained about poor customer service to their management but it still continued. I have given them several chances and they failed me each time. Avoid this company.

We got into a conversation and he quoted me both car and motorcycle insurance premiums that were lower than what I had through Allstate and Mercury. But the best part was his patience level and willingness to answer questions. He was also incredibly honest about other companies--their pros and cons. He really went above and beyond to address my concerns, answer questions, and explain everything. I haven't found that before in an insurance carrier.
