If I could give this office 0 stars, I would…read more I first visited Queensridge for a consultation last August and paid my $75 copay at the time of my appointment. The entire visit with the doctor lasted less than five minutes. I was then sent for blood work. Even though I had fasted beforehand just in case, I was told the specific test had to be completed before a certain time, so I had to schedule another appointment. When I returned for my second appointment after making another 30-minute drive, I was informed that the phlebotomist wasn't there, so I couldn't even have my blood drawn. After two disappointing visits, I decided not to return to this office. To make matters worse, I later received a bill for an additional $73. I spent over six months trying to get someone to explain why I owed more money after already paying my copay. I called weekly, left countless messages, and never received a return call. Because no one would respond, the balance was eventually sent to collections. I paid the balance just to deal with the collections issue, then disputed the charge with my bank because even they agreed the situation seemed unusual. Despite that, I am still being billed for the same charge. Once again, I spent months trying to get answers with no response. When I finally reached someone, I was essentially told that if I didn't pay, it would simply be sent to collections again. No one could actually explain why I owed the money. I no longer have the insurance I had at the time of my visit, and I was also told the doctor I originally saw doesn't even work there anymore. The lack of communication and patient care at this office is unacceptable. Ignoring patients for months while continuing to bill them and threaten collections is not how a medical practice should operate. If they put even half as much effort into helping their patients as they do collecting money, this situation could have been resolved long ago. I will never return and would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a practice that values communication, professionalism, or patient care.

It has been 14 days since my appointment, and I still have not received the information I was supposed to get about my medication. The staff was supposed to send it, but never did. I even called to follow up, and still nothing has been provided. What makes this even more frustrating is that this office does not work with any insurance, so you are required to pay a very high fee upfront. For the amount being charged, I expected much better communication and follow-through. This lack of organization and responsiveness is unacceptable, especially when it comes to important health matters. A good doctor alone is not enough when the office staff fails to support patients properly. I hope they improve their processes, because patients should not have to chase down essential information after paying so much out of pocket.

Turn out I had a blood clot, I have to say thanks to those who work at the operation emergency room. DR. Shah is a great doctor as well. I wanna say thanks to the stuff at the ICU, Specialty. Gina S and Eddie A as well Regine M. They was great to me on my recovery! Also Big George he is a great nurse that cares. In that part everything was well, Let me not forget the two beautiful lady's Sherlin & Irish... But here comes the part that I was frustrated. One of the important process on recovery is resting. That is a failure at this place!! There's no consideration on people, some of the stuff doesn't have any respect. Talking loud at all time of the night!!! The emergency stuff & Doctors as well gets 5 stars. But when it comes to preparation of moving patients from room to room they are terrible. Instead of moving you in the middle of the day they wait to move you at night while you already sleeping that's inconvenience and ridiculous!!! The respect for the patient to rest in the worse times in the life is a 100% failure!!!! I would say if this hospital work on providing better care in those factors would be great.

Unfortunately, things quickly changed once I was assessed by the nursing staff. One nurse made a comment along the lines of, "If this were really an emergency, the doctor would already be with you," which felt dismissive and alarming given my condition. Another nurse working the intake/triage area with a bunch of tattoos on her arms repeatedly walked past me while I was clearly in distress. I had to get her attention myself. When she finally responded, she gave me attitude and spoke on my condition and vital signs without even properly assessing me. At that moment, I felt unheard and unsupported. When you're struggling to breathe, compassion and urgency matter. It was around 3 AM, and it wasn't busy, which made the experience even more concerning. However, once I was brought to the back and treated, everything changed for the better. My nurse Clarissa and Dr. Villalobos were exceptional. They made me feel safe and cared for, and I truly appreciate them. I don't believe this is a bad hospital overall I think I had a very unfortunate experience with part of the staff. But first contact matters, especially in an emergency.

My mom was critically ill, and from the beginning, Dr. Hoang treated her like a person, not a chart, not a room number, not a problem to get through. She listened. She explained things in a way I could understand. She looked at the whole picture. She advocated, coordinated, researched options, pushed for next steps, and never made us feel like we were asking too much by needing help. What I will never forget is that she cared about my mom on a deeply human level. She once told us that my mom was "her person," and that is exactly how it felt. She came by when she did not have to. She checked in. She worked behind the scenes. She helped coordinate with other doctors and facilities. She fought for more time, more answers, and more quality of life. She also cared about me as my mom's daughter and advocate. During a time when I was sleeping in hospitals, trying to understand terrifying medical updates, and doing everything I could to help my mom, Dr. Hoang saw me too. She reminded me that this was a marathon and that I had to take care of myself if I was going to keep taking care of my mom. That kind of compassion cannot be taught from a textbook. It comes from who someone is. My mom ultimately passed away, but I will always be grateful that we had Dr. Hoang in our corner. She gave us care, clarity, honesty, effort, and humanity when we needed all of those things desperately. Families remember the doctors who truly show up. I will remember her forever. If you are looking for a doctor who is intelligent, compassionate, thorough, and genuinely cares, Dr. Hoang is extraordinary.

I believe a lot of my earlier experiences may have been caused by cultural differences. Coming from Hawaii, our ways of relating to others are quite different. I am very outgoing and friendly, but I needed to understand that some people are more introverted or reserved. It doesn't mean they are cold or standoffish. Just different. That said, I want to share my experience with Dr. Justin Striblen. In all the years that I have dealt with different doctors, Dr. Striblen is by far the most caring, conscientious, empathetic, thorough, and knowledgeable doctor. I have liked him from day 1 and find him to be easy to talk to and friendly. He has a way of making me feel comfortable while still maintaining a professional attitude. He never lets me leave without making sure all of my concerns and questions are answered. He also asks that I keep him or his very efficient assistant, Arielle, abreast of all new developments that occur with my ongoing health care. Arielle also makes sure I have any questions answered before she leaves the examination room. Recently, possible developments in my health have come to my attention. Dr. Striblen is 100% involved with every single step of my labwork, past and future tests/procedures that have been or will be conducted by his referrals to specialists. I have received calls from Arielle for updates on tests and lab results between my appointments with Dr. Striblen. No other doctor has ever cared enough to keep track beyond waiting for my next appointment. I've never had a doctor so caring and involved with my health, and I find Dr. Striblen a huge step above other doctors. He even changed my medication when I first saw him, as he noticed my former doctor had prescribed two medications that were basically the same thing for diabetes. By changing the medication, my A1C has begun to decrease, even when I stopped Ozempic. That tells me Dr. Striblen knows his medications and makes me feel more secure and confident in trusting his recommendations and opinions. If you are looking for a good primary care doctor who genuinely cares for his patients, do give Dr. Justin Striblen a chance.

*This review is for Adult Medicine*…read more Drove my mom to SW Medical today, 4/10/2026, for blood work and a doctor appointment. My Mom has to use her double wide manual wheelchair for appointments instead of her electric wheelchair because RTC Paratransit doesn't pick up in my neighborhood (she lives with me). The manual chair is so wide that she has to stand up and use her walker to get through the doors to the exam rooms, I have to fold the chair to get it through the door, and then, once we're through the door, I open the chair so she can sit back down. It really wears her out. By the time we got upstairs to Adult Medicine for her doctor appointment, she was completely pooped. The nurse who called her back, got two other nurses to assist us getting from the waiting room to the back. After the appointment, there were literally like 5 people- nurses and doctors- who came to assist my Mom out of the room. Two nurses then escorted us to the service elevator and out the ambulance entrance so Mom wouldn't have to stand up again to get back into the main lobby. They also pushed her to the car and helped her get in the car. I just want to commend the staff in the Adult Medicine department. You made my Mom's day. She said she felt like she was getting the VIP treatment. These days, that kind of customer service in medical establishments is rare. Thank you and may God bless you all!

I had a C-section for my first baby on the 24th and was told by my delivering doctor that I would need to be seen by an MD within the same week to have my bandage removed and incision looked at. My primary OB office (Sienna) didn't have any appointments available with any of the MDs so I had to go to this grand montecito location. This location is a 40 minute drive for me mind you. After being taken to the exam room and talking with the nurse, we overheard the nurse and Dr. Maligaya questioning why I was in office and saying that I am being seen way too early. She didn't even want to see me and had the nurse come in to tell me that I shouldn't be seen for another 2 weeks and to turn me away. I informed her that I was told by my delivering doctor that I needed to be seen by an MD the same week and I was just following instruction. I was also attached to a battery powered suction device underneath my bandage that only had a 5 day battery life. The nurse leaves the room and Dr. Maligaya walks in, again, questioning why I was there in the first place. I told her as I told the nurse that I was just following the direction of my delivering doctor and my incision needs to be checked and the suction device needs to be removed. After going back and forth for a bit, she smacked the exam bed and said "well let's go, let's remove it then". My husband had to step in and tell her that we are just going to leave because she clearly was very rude, wasn't listening to me or believing me about the instructions I was following from my delivering doctor, and made me feel like she didn't know what she was doing. I drove the 40 minutes to this location 4 days after my C-section, in pain, with a newborn just to be treated like this. Never going to this location or seeing this doctor again.
