This is over a course of almost 3 wks. Then they wanted to "rent"! equipmt & a tech to do an ultrasound (=$350). We were DONE. Went to kind unassuming Vet Dr. McCabee(Hospital) in W. Park & he within just 60seconds of examining our dear dog, said I am so sorry, I am quite positive its a prostate cancer tumor. I'll do the ultrasound if you wish & it was $150. We were finally able to know what was going on and he lived ok for another 4mos. till almost 13. That last night we had no idea it was coming he was yelping ,a vomiting turn.... McCabee was on vacation, other vet couldn;t do it until 3 days later--end up w/ LMVClinic in desperation, thinking how could they mess this up--well SHE did- She did not give our dog enough meds She said she wasn't sure how much to give a 12lb dog!!! & we were already so distressed we didn't know how to react & she said well if its not enough I'll go make another shot. (WTH?) Sure enough it was NOT-essentially watched out dog's eyes pleading in our arms: "What is happening to me???" It was a slow and painful death as she left the rm to make another shot. I will only leave them in the care of a two individuals. 1. My daughters and 2. Longwood Vet. My pups are all bully breeds and in most cases they are treated as dangerous. I've never experienced this when taking them to the vet. The staff will get on the floor to be on the dog's level. They cater to the personally of each pet. He ended up needing surgery and leading up to that he visited the vet 3 times to ensure his bladder wasn't enlarged or blocked and didn't charged for those visits. Everyone was so friendly and kept us informed every step of the way. After surgery, my cat is back to normal and living his best life. I highly recommend this urgent care if your pet has an emergency. I believe they also do checkups so is not only emergencies. Just keep in mind they are not open 24/7.

My dog was bit a couple of weeks ago by another dog and he was seen immediately, treated and sent home with pain medication and antibiotics. He unfortunately ended up developing an abscess and I had to take him back to be seen by the vet. The level of compassion and care the vet and his staff have is very commendable. Worried that it may rupture or lead to an infection, we were referred to this place by friends, and were able to quickly make an appointment. Upon entering, you are immediately greeted and checked in, then taken to one of the pet specific rooms. Ours was the meow room, which had bird sounds playing, comfy chairs for pet parents, and treats for your furry family member. The vet tech was very thorough and gentle in her examination of my cat. Using kind words, lots of pets, and making sure she was as comfortable as she could be. The Veterinarian came in and was even more thorough, and she made sure to offer recommendations, and made sure to give us information regarding what could and couldn't be done. We decided to move forward with surgery to hopefully save my kitty's foot, and not only was the surgery successful, but the way they hand carried my cat into the room, talking to her and giving her kisses made me fall in love with this office. So when having to board your dog for the first time ever makes it really tough and difficult to not only leave your dog but find an establishment that you can trust with your beloved canine. But here at fancy pets I can say without a doubt we know our dog was taken care of and loved. We left him for 3 days and 2 nights during New Year's Eve weekend. Luckily my sister in law left her dog here as well so he had a familiar face! What's great about fancy pets is they provide beds, bowls, and even a suite for your dog to sleep in. Yet the best thing of all is if you follow their Facebook page you will get to see daily pics of your dog outside playing at least 2-3 times a day!! If and when we have to board our dog again it will be an easy choice to leave him here !!

I am sharing this experience because I feel a responsibility to warn other pet owners…read more My husband and I brought our senior Chihuahua here for a second opinion. This was our first visit. The receptionist was friendly and professional, but unfortunately, the rest of our experience was extremely concerning. The technician/assistant entered the exam room without introducing herself and immediately began discussing X-rays and possible tooth extractions before the actual doctor had examined Wally. She also became judgmental when we explained that Wally hasn't had a dental since 2019 because, at his age, we are concerned about general anesthesia and unnecessary extractions. She then said she needed to weigh Wally and take his temperature. Instead of doing this in the exam room, she picked him up from his stroller and took him into a back area without us. She said she would only be a minute. Several minutes passed and she still had not returned. We eventually had to ask the receptionist where our dog was. When the technician finally returned, she had not even weighed him or taken his temperature. We politely explained that we were uncomfortable with Wally being taken out of our sight and asked why his basic vitals could not simply be taken in the exam room. That's when the veterinarian/owner came in and, immediately after we greeted him, said, "I'm not doing so well because you were rude to my employees." We were stunned. We had not been rude or disrespectful. We were concerned pet owners asking reasonable questions after our elderly dog had been taken away by someone we had never met and was gone for several minutes. The veterinarian repeatedly accused us of being rude and then asked if we thought they were harming our dog. After that interaction, we no longer felt comfortable leaving Wally in their care. We declined further examination and left. We've had dogs for 16 years and have used veterinary practices in both Arizona and Florida. We've never experienced anything remotely like this. We came for a second opinion. We left without allowing our dog to be examined because the way this situation was handled completely destroyed our trust in the practice.
