Dropping this sweet old boy off for teeth cleaning.

Dr. Alber and the staff at Shey's are great! Dr. Alber has a great, calm demeanor with the animals and knows how to handle them without making the visit any more traumatizing than it already is for the little fur babies. I wouldn't say they're the cheapest in the area, but they certainly are convenient and I trust my animals in their care so that's what's most important. The office itself is clean and well maintained. Parking can be a bit dicey in the little plaza, but that's usually later in the afternoon/evening that it fills up since you've got a pizza place, Chinese place and a Tijuana Flats all in the same plaza. If you're on the hunt for a new vet, I would recommend Shey's and Dr. Alber.

I've been going to Sheys since 2018 and I wouldn't trust the health and wellness of my animals with any other Vet. The Dr. Alber and his team are kind, caring, and compassionate. They really take the time to get to know your pets and prescribe therapy and treatment based on years of knowledge and specialization. COVID Protocols: Due to COVID, when you arrive for your appointment you park in the parking lot (they are right next to Tijuana Flats) and call the main number. In a few moments (close to your appointment time) a technician calls you and asks some diagnostic questions. Once you're done they meet you at the door with your pet (you must wear your mask), and they take it from there. Once the appointment is complete Dr. Alber or someone from the team will call you and review the appointment, you pay over the phone, and you get your pet back. It's very simple, low touch, and safe.

It's rare that I leave 5 star reviews but oh man, this place deserves it. My dog had been sick for awhile and after an emergency visit to another vet, I tried out Shey's to get a second opinion and to see if they would be any cheaper than what the emergency vet had quoted me. Unfortunately blood work revealed that my dog had significant liver value elevations, but I've never had a vet be so comforting and patient while giving me all of my options. I never felt rushed or pressured to make a choice, Michael Alber was so kind and reassuring while he talked me through everything in a way I could understand and listened to me babble about my sweet boy. The rest of the staff were friendly and welcoming, and even though their doors weren't officially open to the public the wait time was fairly short. I wish I would've made Sheys my primary vet sooner, but when I'm ready to get another pet, I won't take them anywhere else but here. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking such great care of my boy

This places was awesome after looking around for a new vet I finally found this place. Prices are good and free nail trim with the visit which that's awesome. The vet tech was awesome she explained everything I needed to know and asked about my doggie lifestyle to adjust vaccination towards him and not our vaccines that he doesn't need. Also she came with cost estimates and asked me what I really wanted to do. Didn't pressure me at all on my dog getting a million things. The actual vet he was awesome. He really seems like he care about the dog health and preventions. He also worked with me about my concerns and etc. Also everything is electronic so you have all your pet information at all times.

Shey's has been so great the past year or so we've been coming. They really treat my dog well and do a great job of helping me understand what will keep her healthy and happy. I'm looking forward to the day where I don't have to wait in the car the whole time, but I understand why they are still careful about COVID. Hoping I get to go in with her soon!

I took my adopted kitty Stella to the vet for the first time since I got her. I'm a very anxious person so when I was told I had to drop her off and return for her later I was so nervous. I kept mentioning how Stella gets scared easily but now that I'm looking back, I might have been more scared than she was (oops). While waiting I decided to distract myself and buy a tea somewhere expecting the visit to take longer than it did. Within about 10 minutes of handing her to a vet tech I received a call from Dr. Alber and I felt much more at ease. He listened to all of my concerns and even dealt with my nervous rambling. I'm so so so glad that I decided to take my kitty to Shey's, even though I couldn't be in the room with her it was still a comfortable and pleasant experience. Everyone was so nice and helpful. My kitty didn't seem spooked coming out either so I know that I picked the right place for us. The ladies at the front desk also made sure to give Stella lots of compliments and reassured me that she was so good and received lots of love while I was gone and I 100% believe them. Thank you everyone at Shey's for making my first kitty's vet experience so enjoyable and thank you to Dr. Alber for being so understanding! I'll definitely be coming back and hopefully less anxious for next time!

While a flower delivery and sympathy card weren't on our mind from the vet, that's just a single example of the thought that is behind everything they do. They truly are a class act and perfect example of compassionate service in Orlando. I send all of my friends here when they're in the market for a new vet. Not only are the doctors kind and thorough, but the techs and front desk staff are what really make the difference. They get to know you and your pet and are always rooting for your furry companions. I fully believe they are a large reason why my girls have lived so long - they do routine bloodwork and have caught so many underlying issues throughout the last 6 years between the 2 of our girls (high blood pressure, hyperthyroid, all the things you don't think of for a cat). Casper, my cat, had a bad experience about 5 years ago, and ever since then, he's a menace at the vet and has always had to be put under full anesthesia. He had a really stressful experience with anesthesia at the last vet he went to, so I was pretty intense with them about him having a better experience here. They were so kind and so understanding and helpful, and they never treated me like I was being too much or inconveniencing them, which I appreciated so much. No vet since the one 5 years ago has been able to touch him without full anesthesia. I'm not sure what it was about this place, but he wasn't losing his mind, he wasn't hissing, he wasn't trying to attack, and he wanted out of his carrier. I was super nervous to let him out, but I did because he seemed to be doing okay. He explored and was OKAY! It was amazing. Then our vet tech Emily was absolutely incredible and was so kind and sweet to my baby- he can be a little rude and high strung so I really appreciated that she went the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. We didn't do a full exam, but he was letting us touch him and weigh him and everything, and then they put him under to biopsy a lump. While they were doing the biopsy, they were so good about calling me to update me as things were happening. This is my new vet for the rest of forever

Dr Mansour has been someone I can trust to do a thorough exam and in tough times share the honest truth about my dogs condition. If you take your pets here on a regular basis, the shots are competitive to clinics offered at Walgreens and pet stores, except your pet is seen by a real Vet. They take appointments and also walk ins. My dog had a serious illness and the office was closed when he was so bad that I had to put him to sleep. Even though they did not handle this part of my pet's lifecycle, they sent me a nice sympathy card. They have their own pet's you might see while visiting the clinic. Recently I met a lady in the waiting room. She was fostering an animal for a rescue and shared how the staff had been attentive and helped her even though the charity was not understanding the animal's issues. Reasons why I recommend this Vet Clinic: 1) Years of experience 2) They will help work you in if they can the same day you contact them 3) Caring staff that have a customer and pet first attitude. They have the chart out and address you and the Pet by name. 4) In the age where you can do a lot of tests, they try to help you and obtain the tests that are necessary. When they feel additional testing is required, they present the options and possible outcomes to help you decide. I love that they take the time with each pet owner. I know another reviewer was not happy with an experience but I find that they do fact based diagnosis. I did get a new dog and before they saw her they asked that I bring any available vaccination and documentation so that we would not redo shots and they could pick the best treatment plan. If you are looking for a great Vet choose Michigan Street. It looks like a small building from the street, but it serves a staff with a big heart. They offer overnight care and surgery as well.
