First of all, I feel more comfortable seeing women Ob/gyns- that is what first drew me to her office. The staff has always been very pleasant. Times when I have been running a tad late, Dr Simmons still agrees to see me. :) She makes the whole experience relaxing and comfortable (as this type of doctor appointment can be quite stressful!!) She has always done a thorough exam and is very informative. Also, she calls herself with lab results. On the flip side, it does take a while to get an appointment with her (which could be interpreted as a very good thing)... I think this practice only works with Hinsdale Hospital...

Some of them are more careful to make sure you don't leave with unanswered questions, but none of them have made me feel rushed as if I couldn't initiate a Q&A time. The only reason I didn't give a higher rating was because I wasn't happy with how I was treated at the hospital while I was giving birth to my first child (a pretty important factor especially as I hope to have at least one more). The two doctors on call while I was in delivery were terrible (even though we had gotten along fine at regular check-ups). I felt unwanted pressure to have a C-section (which turned out to be unnecessary) among other things. I had been careful to express my wishes long before that day and I had been assured at check-ups that what I wanted was fine as long as an emergency didn't arise. Well, there was no emergency, but there I was, at the time when I least needed to have extra stress, feeling like I had to fight my physician to stay off the operating table. I've since seen one of those doctors at a regular check-up and the attitude was great, neither of us was harboring any hard feelings. I will continue to see them for my regular care, but if I get pregnant again, I'll be finding a new obgyn in hopes of a better labor/delivery experience.

He is kind, patient, and knowledgeable, and I feel completely confident that he has my best interests in mind at all times. On top of that, after my last visit the turnaround time for getting my test results was incredible - he reached out to me in less than 24 hours! My only complaint about this access location is that it can be hard to get an appointment because they're often booked up way in advance. Apparently this is because they're supposed to have three doctors working there full time but right now they only have two. This is obviously not my doctor's fault but hopefully they can get a new doctor working there soon, and hopefully that doctor is as good as Dr. Creary!

Whether it was phone calls late at night or during planned office visits. She was so very thorough and professional during my pregnancy, that we had no worries with her as our doctor. I went with surgery and she found the issue and resolved it. This doctor really is a doctor in all senses. Dr. Patel always answered my questions thoroughly and explained the research behind some of the answers she provided. My delivery went really well and she was extremely professional and kind throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend her if you're looking for a reliable, knowledgable, and friendly OB-GYN doctor. Just heads up: expect a longer wait in the waiting room. She gives each of her patients her undivided attention, which causes a longer wait time sometimes. It's worth it though!
