Surgeons such as he often think of themselves as miracle workers, but they are not: Anyone whose daddy has enough money can be trained to do his job. OUTDATED: His approach to patient care is 30 years out of date, as is the technology he describes as "cutting edge." He will interrupt as you are speaking; he is dismissive of your concerns; he shamed me for asking for medication (the simplest, most cost-effective solution); he has underdeveloped social skills and terrible bedside manner. His mullet did not impress me, either. NOT WORTH IT: I waited two weeks to get in; spent two hours in drive time and $20 in gas; waited over an hour to see him; then was given a hard salespitch for an expensive gadget that requires electrodes be inserted in my body and only works in 70 percent of patients, according to the sales pamphlet. ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS: The appointment with him was an absolute waste of time, money and patience. My doctor referred me to a specialist, and he suggested surgery. I immediately went into depression because the things I used to do I could no longer do them without severe pain. Fall of 2018 I met Dr Keith Currie during my consultation he was so precise about my back. The first day of my treatments I was able to walk out of his office without crutches. At PTI- Sherwood, my physical therapy treatment has targeted my head, neck, shoulders, overall strength and balance, and vestibular (ear) function to help with dizziness. Every time I leave there I feel like a cooked noodle and so relaxed. The best part for me is that my insurance covers my visit and I get to get a 1 hour massage before my visit with the chiropractor...all billed under 1 co-pay which is cheaper than getting a massage alone at a spa.
