The go ahead order was in April 2023. We did not get revised estimate until May. Then blame assigned to county again for delay on getting percolation test. Finally, a perc. test was done. Then revised plan needed approval again. Permit granted by county on June 27th, but tank not set until July 27. Then rest of work did not commence until late August after a series of excuses. The worst of it was the tone of the email: "Exciting news. We started the project today. We are anticipating inspection Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. As long as everything continues to go smoothly we do not see any reason why it will not be ready for Labor Day Weekend for you to enjoy." I almost barfed. "Exciting News"?? Excuse me this work was indeed promised to be completed a long time ago, and you want me to be excited at your delays and excuses? Yeah not so much. On the morning of 4/16, I called again because my wife likes to prepare meals and beverages for workers, and we wanted to know how many people to expect. I spoke with Yasmin, who was upbeat and friendly. She let me know that a crew of three would be arriving and that the service would take about two hours. She also updated me that the arrival window had narrowed from 8 AM-5 PM to 8 AM-noon, which was helpful for planning. The crew arrived later than planned (no big deal), led by manager Nate, supervisor Lance, and a trainee named Hector. It was clear right away that this team, assembled by their "big boss" Arelic, was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. Nate even took the time to draw a diagram on his tablet to explain how the underground system works and what they would be doing.
