The $660 was real but since my unit was older I had to get some piping updated for newer models so extra $50 charge. They didn't give me some refurbished thing, they bought a brand spanking new 40 gallon commercial grade (which is far superior to residential grade) AO Smith water heater and had it installed in a few hours.
