We had called this company to go out to one of our rental properties near VCU and we gave a timeframe between 3pm-5pm to accommodate the tenants schedule and they confirmed. However, when the day of service came the technician decided to show up 2 hours early and communicated, they were finished with their previous jobs early and wanted us to magically show up to accommodate their schedule. Now they are charging an outrageous trip fee of $95.00 because they feel as though they can plus a late fee. read more

Things started off poorly when they were a no show for the first appointment and failed to contact promptly. The plumber told me he was going to charge me $125 per hour instead of $150 because I paid quickly. I gave him CC info upfront. The plumber initially identified the problem as a faulty ring, which it was not. Later on after he replaced the ring, he discovered that the toilet had a crack in it and told me it needed to be replaced. He told me he would install a good quality one valued at $275 at Home Depot which I approved of. I understand there is some trial and error to fixing water leaks and that replacing the ring is a logical first approach. I am willing to overlook this. The part that bothers me is that the plumber installed one of the cheapest toilets and charged me for a higher end model. Seems like fraudulent behavior. It was also a real struggle to get a receipt or invoice for services rendered as well. I do not like going to social media to rage my frustrations in the form of bad reviews, but was left with no other option when they failed to work with me on refunding the difference in the cost of the toilet. I was misled and lied to repeatedly before I got to where I am now. I advise anyone that sees this post to avoid this business at all cost. Find another plumber. Find one that is honest. read more

I wish there was a option to pick negative stars!! Cause they do deserve even 1 star!! They showed up 3 hours late, and did a horrible job. I started with a leaky faucet and ended up with a busted pipe and a flooded basement. Needless to say I was very upset, so I told them to leave and I would hire "real plumbers" to fix their mess. Then told them they had 5 mins to collect their belongings and leave my home, when I come back to check on them, I caught Ronnie Baggett (the owner) urinating on my toothbrush. He was so out of his mind high on methamphetamines, that he couldn't function. I'm sure that was the reason he messed up more then he fixed. Do not hire Advanced Plumbing to install a tub. They installed it unbalanced and water flowed to the floor. Intentionally installed overflow wrong and soaked my basement. Tore up my walls, never installed faucet back. I sent pics to the owner and he couldn't believe how terrible the work was. He wanted me to allow him to do it again. I said no and asked him to repair all the damage his plumber did and he refused. It cost me approx $600 to repair. Stay away. read more

Great local plumber in Stevensville. I had a problem with a blocked drain in my bathroom, gave advanced a call and they cleared the issue. Their plumber found a few more drains (kitchen and guest bathroom) that were slow and took care of them as well! They did a good job of explaining why drains get blocked and how cleaning them occasionally can prevent problems I don't want (like a toilet backing up and making a huge mess). Tom was very knowledgeable. He took care of the issue promptly and cleaned up afterwards. In fact I was impressed with how thoroughly he cleaned up. Advanced gives options with a price to repair or replace which is nice. They seem a little pricey but I felt like I got what I paid for: he was there in 30 minutes on a Saturday, complete replacement, cleaned up before leaving and used shoe covers when walking on my carpet. They also have a yearly service that covers the whole house that can be of value. read more

Had a poor experience with this plumber. Believe this is the first plumber I have ever seen or its been so long since. Needed my house checked for a water leak somewhere; had high water bills; had the water co. come out to confirm this. This plumber checked the things that a handyman had checked a month before, like under sinks, checked sump pump, appliances, etc. Didn't even crawl around in crawl space (had hip problems). Charged me 110.00; was suppose to be 95.00. I called their office to complain and the mgr. or owner seemed like a nice person and said he would refund me. Well, it is 4/21 now. The service was on 3/31. I have heard from another plumber, that I was Much happier with later, that they have had a lot of complaints about this plumbing company. read more

So I called Advanced Pluming and inquired about a bathtub install including the triple walls and how much it would cost. I was quoted $500 on the high end by Teri (the lady I spoke with). Set up a schedule. Plumbers came on time and worked a little more than 6 hours. At the end of the day, Advanced Plumbing told us there were some things on the wall we needed to fix first before they can complete the installation and to call them after it was done. We paid the $500 as quoted. We called them a few days later after we ourselves work on the wall the way they asked. We kept calling to make some type of arrangements and to try to schedule to have the installation complete. Well, it's been more than a month and all we hear from Advanced Plumbing is crickets. Keep in mind, on the first visit, they only replaced a couple of pipes, took the bathtub out if its packed box and just laid it on the floor. I can still lift up the tub with one hand. This is Advanced Plumbing's definition of bathtub installation. They made us $500 lighter. To all my fellow workers at Andrews University who needs plumbing or similar service, save yourselves a few hundred bucks and DO NOT call Advanced Plumbing and just move on to the next contact on your list. I would not suggest using this company after a employee was waiting behind me at the atm as I was cashing a check. Apparently I was taking more time than what he thought I should. He started reving his engine and yelling obscenities at my husband and I. As we were leaving he got out of his truck as if to start a fight. If this is behavior from this company... Hired Advanced Plumbing to install a tub. An alleged Master plumber came to my house an installed my tub that I had to pick up and deliver. The tub was installed unbalanced. Water flows right to the floor. Overflow drain was installed wrong. When the water gets to overflow the water goes under the tub and in my basement. They tore my walls up and used plyers to pull the outside steel corner bead up my wall 18 inches passed the top of the tub. Never put the faucet back on and left the bathroom a mess. He wanted a second chance. I said no way. I reinstalled it correctly and I'm not a master plumber. The owner was a complete jerk when I complained and refused to compensate for the wall damage. Called for emergency service after a pipe burst in our home at 5:15 pm. They said it was not an emergency and could wait until the next day - even though our water would be off all night? And they blamed the burst pipe on us, saying we needed to have our faucets turned on. So we are just supposed to have all of our faucets running all winter long? HORRIBLE! read more
