I have had back pain since my twenties, after I experienced a hard parachute landing at night. I ruptured two disks that night (L3 and L4). Over the years following the night jump, I have had physical therapy, epidurals, steroid injections, and surgeries to reduce the pain; nothing worked. The pain continued to get worse. So much scar tissue had formed in the area of my pain that the pain doctor could no longer inject the epidural. I was experiencing excruciating pain from the L3 - L4 region in my back, over the right side of my buttocks, and down the back side of my right leg (sciatica). Without medication (mostly Celebrex), I couldn't walk or stand. Dr Medary explained to me that my current pain is from a primary nerve being squeezed in the L3 - L4 region, causing the sciatica. He performed a hemilaminectomy (opened the area around the nerve), and when I woke up from surgery, all of the pain was gone (a miracle). Dr .Gideon Lewis used surgical hardware which actually was to big for her foot. These issues were to be observed by another local Podiatric surgeon. The new surgeon who corrected Dr. Gideon's "hack job" stated when performing the surgery to correct everything, that he could actually pull the screws and brackets that were all loose and he could pull the hardware out with his fingers. My wife used a bone stimulator as requested by Dr. Gideon, it didn't help heal her foot.THE PAIN WAS SO UNBEARABLE! SHE REQUESTED AN APPOINTMENT AFTER SURGERY AND DR.
