I ended up doing the uncouth thing of stepping the office to ask if they had forgotten I was there. In cases like that, it would be a good idea for the nurse to pop her head back in to say, sorry for the wait, the doc is running behind, and should be with you in 'x' minutes. When I worked for the airlines, I had what I consider my major contribution: my research found that, even more important than being on time was "Keeping pax informed, especially during delays and cancellations" - an attribute that was not measured at that time, but was quickly added to the lexicon of airline research. You see, things like weather and maintenance issues most pax would understand to be OUTSIDE of the control of the airline; but not even "bothering" to take 15 seconds to provide the most up-to-date information in any situation? That's on you, Airline, as it suggests that you really don't care enough about me, the pax, to give them what they need.

I am very impressed with both the staff at the Dr's office, as well as Dr. Ruggerio himself. I didn't wait for anything more then a few minutes at any point in time, even in the actual waiting room, which is where the majority of patients are kept suffering in my experience. I was called in within ten minutes to a room, and seen almost immediately by Dr. Ruggerio. Not only did he have a very thorough understanding of my RA, he also did an in-depth analysis of my medical history to make some recommendations that would help manage RA better. Unlike some other doctors, he really spent time getting to know my medical history and helping me out. I didn't feel at any point in time like he felt rushed or bored and ready to move on to the next patient. Imagine; a doctor that actually CARES about his patients and not just his pocket. The staff follow up was excellent as well. The nurse sat with me to look up some specialists in the area (I was still travelling to NY to see my rhematologist a few times a year), and called a few days later to check in. Dr .Gideon Lewis used surgical hardware which actually was to big for her foot. These issues were to be observed by another local Podiatric surgeon. The new surgeon who corrected Dr. Gideon's "hack job" stated when performing the surgery to correct everything, that he could actually pull the screws and brackets that were all loose and he could pull the hardware out with his fingers. My wife used a bone stimulator as requested by Dr. Gideon, it didn't help heal her foot.THE PAIN WAS SO UNBEARABLE! SHE REQUESTED AN APPOINTMENT AFTER SURGERY AND DR.
