Waited over an hour for an appointment that I had scheduled days ahead of time at a given time. This location always seems to be behind and can't keep to their schedule. My own fault for coming for the convenience of being so close, but be aware that they are horrible w/ keeping to their schedule appointments and you will most likely have to wait a very long time to be seen. Initially I was going to give a 1 star review, but after finally being seen by courteous, pleasant, and apologetic nurse and ma I decided to up to 3 star. Unfortunately after seeing and waiting for nurse I again waited in exam room for around 45 min to be addressed by the Dr and finish up...so they drop to 2 stars. Process is long and appointment scheduling is awful, but nursing staff and practitioners friendly. Be aware of this if you decide to come in. This is definitely one of the more pleasant Centra Cares in the greater Orlando area. Normally, the staff are not too friendly (loop location, lake buena vista location) but this one shines above the rest that I have visited. They provided an honest and accurate wait time and actually beat it by about half an hour. They staff the office with top health professionals and I was quickly seen for my flu symptoms and provided a flu medication prescription which was sent to my pharmacy. DON'T TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CARE, BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU BLOT: 1. Saw I was limping in obvious pain, and provided no assistance 2. Provided 0 medical warning or risk before an x-ray 3. Didn't let me know they were writing me an Rx 4. Didn't do any due diligence regarding prescribing that Rx 5. Lied about the referral information provided. I made an appointment online, and noted specifically that I was coming in for an injured foot. I limped in, and was not offered any assistance. I sat in the waiting room, when my name was called, I was escorted to the room OBVIOUSLY limping, and was offered no assistance. When the doctor came in, he examined my foot and agreed it looked like an x-ray was needed. When the RN came to take me to the x-ray room, I was told to 'take my time'... not provided a wheelchair or crutches or ANY assistance. Thankfully, I've had experience with x-rays before, but had I not, and was or could have been pregnant, I was not asked. That could have been horrible had I been with child. The fact they didn't even think to ask is despicable. After my x-ray was 'sent' to the radiologist, the doctor came in and said that the radiologist was viewing it, but to not keep me waiting, because they saw a shadow, they would give me a fracture boot and I would be good to go. The nurse that came in to apply it was amazing. I was given my x-ray films and a document with my diagnosis and a number to call for a podiatrist that was covered by my insurance, and sent on my way. Hours later, I got a message from my pharmacy saying that an Rx was ready, never once did the doctor tell me he was writing me an Rx, and didn't ask me ANY questions about my lifestyle or medical history to know if it would be helpful, but I did inform the doctor I was taking Aleve for pain management. By the time the pharmacy let me know it was filled, they were closing. When I woke up, I took Aleve, and then went to the pharmacy to pick up the Rx, upon arrival, I was told that I can't take the Rx with the Aleve I was taking. The next morning, I called the number they gave me for a podiatrist in my network, to learn it was the Advent Health scheduling center. It was not a podiatrist. When I provided the representative my insurance card (which I had to do because the Centra Care I went to failed to upload the card I provided them the day earlier), I was told that nothing would be in my network. read more

I went to this location at 12:50pm. I just needed to update paperwork for work and receive the correct crutch size and it took over 2 hours just to see the doctor. I spoke to another person who completely gave up after an hour and 45 minutes of waiting and couldn't take it anymore because they were in pain. The two receptionists at the front were on TikTok and gossiping the entire time and were just extremely rude, Shirley was the absolute worst. She spoke to me like I was incompetent and played her videos on full blast volume. I highly recommend going anywhere else. read more

This is by far the worst medical service I've received. My appointment was scheduled for 11:30am and was told to arrive at 11am. After waiting for 50 minutes I asked the lady in the front desk about the wait time. That's when she responded it would take 1.5 to 2 hours for me to see the doctor. I then asked, if I would be able to leave and come back. She responded that I could come back at 1:15pm. I returned but had to wait an additional 1.5 hours!!! Terrible service! I can't believe that this branch will allow very sick people to wait for hours in the lobby! They need to schedule appointments accordingly! Peoples health should be their top priority. read more

THE. WORST. Appointment...what's that? Appointments mean nothing here. I had an appointment at 1:30. I showed up early to get all of the paperwork filled out ahead of time. That was a waste because it took the woman at the counter 30 whole minutes to "check me in" after that. The check in process is essentially entering my insurance info into the computer. I was patient but others in the waiting room weren't. One man walked up to the counter to see what was taking so long and seconds later he was miraculously checked in. I ended up walking out when I was told it would be $195 just to see someone. For those prices I might as well go to the freaking ER! I drove to a Walgreens Healthclinic. They got me in and out in 20 minutes and I didn't have to pay a thing. I'll never go to an AdventHealth Centra Care again! read more

I give it a 3 because the wait time was quick and front desk staff and nurse was nice. I went in yesterday with an abscess under my armpit, which has happened to me before. Because I'm a performer in the heat the costumes cause it. I wanted it drained which is what they did when I got one last summer. Dr said it was too small to drain and just gave me a shot of antibiotics and sent me on my way with antibiotics and a small dose of pain killers. I told him I needed to work that night and could he PLEASE drain it and he refused and told me not to go to work.... like that's an option. I woke up this morning and it's even bigger and more painful than ever and now I have to go find another dr who will drain it for me. Update: I went back and saw a different doctor who drained the abscess and was great to work with. She talked me through everything, and was very helpful with my situation at work. read more

Never going back. I'm done with doctors who have to time for patients: 1. I waited a long time even tho the parking lot and waiting room were mostly empty 2. The doctor spent so little time with me. He started to leave the exam room when I still was telling him where my injuries were so I rudely had to say "wait and listen to me." 3. I had a broken ankle and they gave me a bottomless plastic cast. My shoe wouldn't fit with it on and my hand was injured so I couldn't use crutches. So I had to walk on my bare foot across their floor and the parking lot. Just gross and unsanitary. They should have put me in a wheel chair to my car. None of the staff offered to help. read more

If there was a way to give this location a negative star I would have. Today 04/16/21 about 3:30 am we took my dad an 86 year old man with problems walking, dimentia, diabetes, high blood pressure with severe side pain and sweating cold where he was turned away in an extremely dramatic way by a security guard. All this was done because I was not wearing a mask because a medical condition. I am his power of attorney and his care giver. I am the one with all his info. I told the security guard that I would wear the mask but my oxygen level was at 92% at the time and she would be liable if I passed out...still she stood in front of me legs spread apart hands on hips and said no going in at all because they had many people with covid in that location. I had to ask how many where she said it did not matter. Now they would not let us in and they have many many covid patients there. Well, needless to say we left with my father in severe pain and came to the other one a bit further away. Same company we were allowed in. He was refused help because of me....Since when is there a law in Florida that they get to turn you away from emergency care for not wearing a mask??? We are now at the Lake UNderhill location without any mask problems. Let me add that because of chemotherapy I loose oxygen is is always low because of side effects from the meds, apart from having chronic asthma and COPD. If you have an emergency avoid Colonial and Lake Picket location at night. Just go straight to the Lake Underhill location. read more

I actually recently found out my primary urgent care doctor, Dr Mancero moved to this facility. I flip houses for a living and get in my share of accidents doing so. I probably go to urgent care facilities more than the average person. I was sad to find out Dr Mancero left the Centra Care close to my house but recently reunited with her after stepping on a roofing nail in Colonial Town. Unless my injury is super bad, I will most likely try to make it all the way to this facility to be seen by her. First, I want to give credit where the credit is due: the ease of making an appointment online is pretty perfected. Now, everything else I experienced at that lication is frustrating and concerning. With 102.5 fever and swollen right lymphatic node, I showed up with additional symptoms like pain in my right ear, sore throat, and overall body ache. The nurse who took my vitals did not detect any fever, surprizingly, but noticed extremely high pulse. A bit disoriented and confused with my fever status (which "disappeared" in 10 minutes), I was directed to examine room. The nurse practitioner asked me if I could possibly had COVID, and I told her it was unlikely, so she just said she could not feel my waaay swollen neck, my chest sounded fine, and my throat looked ok. The then suggested I go to ER and get a cat scan on my neck. My next request was to take a throat swab to see if I had strep, she got excited with my idea happily replied "we can do that!". I also asked her to check my ears in case I was developing and ear infection, she responded "I can do that too, I should have done it when I examined you!" The test came back negative, and she continued insisting I go to the ER. I returned home tired, miserably sick, got ZOOM appt with my doctor who diagnozed Type B flu and pharingitis in less that 10 minutes. The CentraCare billed my insurance for the amount of $678.00. Do not recommend, poorly trained and not knowledgeable personnel. read more

We made an online appointment for me to head here after having an allergic reaction to sunscreen. Making an appointment was easy and fast online and I highly recommend that you do this before you go as the wait times can be upwords of an hour. We waited for about 30 minutes and were taken back by the nursing staff. They did the typical weight and blood pressure check. I was then put into a room to wait for the doctor to come in. The doctor was very nice and greeted us and asked what the problem was and got all the information. He then asked what we were doing over the counter to treat my allergic reaction and offered prescription medication because over the counter was not working. It only took a few minutes for a nurse to come back and with my prescriptions that she had electronically transferred to Walgreens so they would be ready for me to pick up when we got there. That was an awesome thing to do so that that way we did not have to drop the prescription and wait. We were in an out of the urgent care in about an hour and a had three prescriptions to take and order to help calm down my reaction. The facility overall was clean and all of the staff was extremely friendly and both greeted and said goodbye to us when we left. I even received a follow up phone call a couple of days after our visit where the nurse wanted to check up on how I was doing and if everything was still okay. Overall: A Hope I never have to go back, but if I do I'd go here. read more

4 Stars for some really friendly, helpful service with only one not so friendly moment. I went in to Centra Care half an hour before they closed (so, around 7:30) and was lucky enough to be the only patient there. I was having chest pain and so I was seen right away and given an EKG. The nurses were all very kind to me (I was in pain and a bit stressed) and the gentleman at the front desk even stayed late to help me sort out an issue with my insurance. The main doctor was extremely nice and seemed empathetic but another doctor (or nurse) who came in to the room first was very short with me. He asked if I had shortness of breath and when I said that it hurts when I breathe in too deep he repeated his same question with an exasperated expression and tone. I think it was clear that I wasn't sure if that counted as shortness of breath but at that point I just said no. Otherwise it was a very pleasant experience. They had follow-up instructions (with chest pain they are required to tell you to go to the ER) and even called to follow up and check on me the following morning. read more

I made an appointment online this time for 2, showed up at ten till 2 and was not seen until around 2:45. I have been having the same issue/cold for about 4-5 months. I am going to an ENT doctor but I have a very busy weekend and started feeling ill the day before last so I didn't want to risk waiting to be seen. The doctor I saw here refused to give me a z-pak because he does not see that taking care of my problem and does not want me to become immune to them. I get it, but in the other hand, I need to work tomorrow and in the past, Z-paks helped. So, I got 2 mouth washes and was sent on my way... We will see. read more

Avoid this place at all cost. I began showing potential symptoms of heart issues so at the urging of some friends in the healthcare field, I looked for a place to get some blood work and EKG done. This place is down the street from my work so I chose this place. I tried to call prior to coming to schedule an appointment but no one answered the phone. I thought they'd be busy but when I walked in, it was mostly empty. I wonder why no one answered the phone. I walked up to the counter and was asked what my symptoms were and when I told them "chest tightness", they expedited my visit. Perks of potentially dealing with a heart attack I guess. I was quickly taken back, a pulse ox was taken, and an EKG was done. The doctor who saw me did not even maintain eye contact with me once. I didn't know what he looked like until I was leaving and dropped off their iPad, which had a patient satisfaction survey on it. He asked me a bunch of questions, several of which were repeats because he didn't even bother to listen to my answers or look at my patient history. After my EKG, another man came in with some papers and an iPad, which had a patient satisfaction survey on it. He hovered over me to see what kind of score they got. Kind of creepy and definitely not professional. I was so put off by this that I had to ask him to leave the room. The whole visit bothered me. This is exactly the kind of place that really turns people off from going to the doctor. Cold, number driven, "patient care", that shows no empathy for someone who might be dealing with life or death situations. They see you, give some general information, tell you to go somewhere else, and take your money. Not one person smiled at me or bothered to make me feel at ease throughout my visit. Btw I'm physically fine according to their tests but I guess they have to tell me to go to the ER by law or whatever since I came in with chest tightness. read more

The receptionist said she would call me when they were ready since they were running behind. I sat in my car for an hour and no phone call. I came in for a COVID test a few days ago. The staff was rude and seemed very irritated that I was there to ask them to do something (update: when I went in later one wasn't wearing a mask!). I waited a very long time in the waiting room (with cable news playing, not exactly a relaxing environment), and when I was finally taken back there was a group of employees sitting around talking. The doctor was in the room for about 30 seconds and acted like he was running late for work (understandable in these times I guess, but it doesn't exactly inspire confidence). He told me my test results would take 20 minutes and left. 35 minutes later I wandered out of the room and asked a random person if my results were back. He checked and they had been sitting on the printer for who knows how long. A couple days later a text with a link to my results came in, but when I try to access it it says my birthdate is incorrect. My girlfriend was tested the same day and had the same problem with her results. I suspect they aren't bothering to accurately enter patient information. I was very disappointed by my experience here. Update: after waiting on hold for over half an hour to ask about the birthdate thing I decided to just go there. There were 4 patients in the waiting room and two women behind the counter, one of whom wasn't wearing a mask! They said something about the computers being messed up and gave me the runaround until a nurse came up and answered my question very quickly after I had wasted an hour of my morning trying to work with the front desk staff. read more

I had just gotten over pneumonia a week or so ago but wasn't bouncing back and even though I had an appointment the following Wednesday at my pulmonary's office, I knew I couldn't wait. So I went to AdventHealth Centra Care on Colonial. The wait wasn't too long at all. When I got in the nurse, Ms. Kater was so kind, friendly and polite. Then I got to see Dr. Ramierz who was extremely competent and listened to my problems and acted accordingly. Then I was sent to get an x-ray with Joe who was also very friendly and polite. Dr. Ramierz saw me again, told me what was going on and prescribed the appropriate medications for my bronchitis. And I knew he knew what he was doing because that's the meds I get prescribed by my pulmonary doctor whenever I have bronchitis which I do often because I have the chronic kind. When I left, the front desk girls were as nice as they could be, especially Sherly. Polite, efficient and fun. Went because Thai is where employer specified for routine drug test and physical. Drug Test was fine but EMPLOYER scheduled appointment for 420p. I wasn't seen until 545p. Receptionist were very rude and tried demanding personal information that wasn't remotely relative to the reason for my visit. Nurses were very rude when I asked any questions. They also kept trying to get me to sign and confirm documents they haven't even filled out yet... Nurse: "sign here confirming this is correct" Me: "there's nothing filled out on the yet" Nurse: with an attitude "well I'm gonna do it as soon as you sign..." Me: "doesn't that defeat the purpose?" Nurse **huffs and puff then fills out paperwork*** My primary dr is with advent. Him and his staff are absolutely amazing! The fact that advent would put their name on this clown show blows my mind. Went in for an urgent care visit, after waiting for 45 minutes, was told that there were only male doctors in the office and they wouldn't perform the procedure I needed because I'm a woman, and only a female doctor could perform what I needed, despite the fact that I didn't care about gender. Absolutely unacceptable and unethical to base treatment on gender. read more
