What started as a personal connection based on shared background turned into a devastating conflict of interest that cost my family heavily. After gaining my trust, she recommended a friend of hers who represented her in her previous marriage to act as my attorney in my divorce she was part of the cause and very supportive of the separation. Following that recommendation was the worst mistake I could have made--it resulted in a catastrophic, $40,000 loss for my family and left me with absolutely nothing. Concurrently, a close family member of hers which I also helped in the past suddenly came into a matching sum of money to open an unlicensed local salon in that time (not fully sure now about their license). The financial and personal crossover here is highly suspicious and ruined my life. Until now that I woke up that these people has never being my friend. To top it off, the actual cosmetic work she did on me was completely botched--she used a regular razor blade (Gillette) on my eyebrows and ruined them. I stayed quiet at the time because I mistakenly viewed her as a friend, but the professional negligence matched the personal damage. She does not deserve the success she has built on the backs of people who trusted her. Stay far away from this type of people. Who use others to be successful. After she finished, I told her my hair looked nothing like the picture, and I really hated it. She told me to live with it for a week, charged me $557.00 and sent me on my way even though I was completely dissatisfied and upset. One day later I told her she needed to fix it, went back, she made it worse. I went to another salon in an attempt to fix it and paid another $175 to get it fixed. The stylist blended the layers and evened out the uneven sides but told me unfortunately I would need to let it grow out which would take 4-6 months. My hair has been up since the cut on 7/2. I relayed all of the information to her and asked her to refund me at which point she just simply ignored me. Her name is "Kimmie Chi" I researched her in an attempt to find her cosmetology license however cannot find anything under her name. She would warn me as she moved around that different areas of the face feel differently (i.e. might hurt more or less depending). I looked into eyelash extensions, but stumped upon lash lift, and found Tori in Yelp! The process is a little long, about an hour. She takes cash only. There's a convenience store a block away from her that has an ATM if you forget cash! Be sure to get directions for when you arrive. It's a bit tricky to find her place. She says the lash could stay curled for up to 12 weeks depending on what you do to them. Mine only looked good for a month max. The second month, most lashes straightened out, while a few stayed curled. By the end of the second month, all my lashes were straight again. I don't wear much makeup (only eyeliner) on a day-to-day basis. I wear mascara only on special occasions, which was 3 times during the those two months. I never wear fake eyelashes. I'm not sure why mine didn't last as long, but it was nice while it lasted. It's a little expensive for my lashes to look good for only a month. I see why people do it if they curl their eyelashes everyday. It definitely saves a lot of time. It was definitely nice to have, and I might do it again for another special occasion.
