I have been coming to this center for two years now. I have anemia and need to have frequent iron…read moreinfusion therapy. The room where they administer the infusion is also the same room where cancer patients come to get their treatments. It's made me very anxious the first time because of this. You feel so bad so many people suffering by your side. Meanwhile you are just there for a boost of iron. I have been treated by Dr. Haggerty. He is a true angel and really helped me with my diagnosis. The man knows his stuff. I highly recommend him and his peers. The facility and staff is very understanding. Considering the treatment facilities they are providing. It's always super clean. They have water, coffee and snacks readily available. As you wait or that you can have while receiving treatments. They also give you pillows, and warm blankets to rest while receiving the treatments on the chairs. The chairs are very comfortable and versatile. I highly recommend this place for cancer patients looking for a facility to get their treatments done. I've even seen drs who have gotten diagnosed come here and sit next to the commoners to get their chemo/radiotion done. A+ staff, facility and drs!

At my most recent appointment, she opened with, "Someone made a mistake when they scheduled your appointment," which was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. She also commented, "He will never do that again!" I felt as though he might get fired because of me. So, I told her that we are entitled to make mistakes, it's our human nature, right? Her comment immediately created tension throughout my visit, to me, she didn't seem to consider how her words might affect someone already dealing with health concerns. There has also been a recurring tone in her interactions that makes me feel as though my care isn't worth her time or that I'm not paying "enough" for her service. Patients should not walk away from a visit feeling dismissed or judged while seeking medical care. It is clear to me she needs to learn or relearn basic bedside manners and rethink how she communicates with the people she is supposed to be caring for. Respect, empathy, and professionalism are not optional in healthcare, and I hope she takes this feedback seriously.

Today my appointment was set for 9:30am when my appointments are generally set for 10:30am.    Dave let this mix up slide, but I still feel the ambience in the room is not what it use to be when I first started up my treatments here. The song Best Of My Love plays and I find myself with an incredulous smile on my face. Talk about being in the doldrums or at least feeling like it. Can it be a bit of a depression I am in? Can it be I am am seeing other guys that are in the same situation I am in or worse?  Sitting in a lounge waiting to get their genitals shocked in order to increase more blood flow? I am 46 years old and about to be 47 this year.  Maybe this I what is really bugging me. Add the fact I can please my loved one the way we both would like does do me/us any favors.  The feeling of being aroused and getting an election, (sometimes at unwanted times) seems like a dream more than reality. These are the thoughts running through my head as I wait here for my number to be called.   More to be said after my treatment. My number 24 was called and Jeff ended up being my technician for today.  I thought about what these technicians get paid and what their job titles are called.   Jeff and I talked for a bit and I found out he will not be working next weekend.  So I have rescheduled my next appointment for when he is there.   I do not wish to be seen by any other technician now.  He is following proper procedures, but apparently the other technicians are not doing this.   If there is a technician you like, I recommend scheduling all your sessions with them.  Otherwise you will get whatever technician is available at the time.  Once again, the music selection at this location is fantastic.

Drove a friend this morning for outpatient surgery. Arrived at 5:30 am and the office opened…read morepromptly and the patient was checked-in. By 6:00 am, we were brought to the prep area and the nurse helped with preparation and patiently explained everything. The anesthesiologist arrived on time, followed by the doctor. Everyone explained the processes and timing clearly. Patient was taken to surgery room at the time it was scheduled - 7:30 am. I waited in the waiting area and cafeteria (decent coffee and oatmeal) and the doctor snd nurse had taken my number down. Doctor called at the end of the procedure and I was notified when my patient was awake and ready to go home. Everything worked well and smoothly.

The nurse who placed my IV seemed unconcerned about how much pain I was in. When the IV blew, the saline drip was not restarted, and I was left hurting so badly that I started sobbing. My husband asked for help, and a nurse with curly hair responded in a condescending way and said I was not her patient. I also asked for pillows and was told no with a smirk, which felt especially cruel given the situation. Another nurse spilled water over the desk and onto me while trying to take my vitals, then wiped it off with my blanket and did not even apologize. I was left sitting there with a wet blanket and no basic courtesy or care. The entire visit felt careless, incompetent, and lacking compassion. This is not the kind of treatment anyone should receive in an emergency room. I hope management takes complaints like this seriously and investigates what happened.

I'm talking with or without an appointment the simplest x-Ray may be a *minimum* 40-60 minute wait. The waiting room isn't child friendly. There is a small, barely audible tv playing but that's it. There are no toys, no tables, nothing. Your child will probably be climbing walls and rolling around the floor trying to burn off energy and boredom. Simply put: it's an absolute embarrassment for a world class children's hospital to have this kind of location. The main hospital rarely makes you wait more than 10 minutes to be called. PS - not a location specific problem but it's ridiculous that they make you have to produce license and insurance card each and every appointment.

I have now not been able to get anyone at all to respond over 4 weeks by office phone, cell phone, email, text message, and in-person messages by the building aides after noticing a sudden drop in my mom's condition. This is unacceptable and I plan to terminate my contract with APG and arrange for a more responsive medical team.
