First rule of good business: don't agree to something if you cannot do it. Looking forward to buying a half million dollar property with someone else. We told him what kind of property we were looking for, and once he found out we were from California, his demeanor changed and his houses presented were marginal at best ! We found one and asked him to check it out for us It was right on the coast and was a neat house . Basically we found it on Zillow and then had to use a realtor so since we had talked to him previously and didn't know that he basically hates Californians. So anyway , we offered asking for the home and he put the offer in , immediately with in 4 hours we found out they didn't accept the offer , We found out later he didn't represent us well and focused on the fact we hadn't seen it in person yet , we lived in California and with my disabled Vet wife , it was a little hard to run up and see it before putting in the offer . This house would have been perfect for us and because we were Californians and hadn't seen it we lost it. You'd think he'd have cared about my wife's situation and mine . We also were pre qualified and were gonna put over half the houses price down in cash. Also the house had been up for sale for several months , so it should have been a slam dunk that we could get it ! I guess Joe just couldn't handle us buying this house since we didn't fit his idea of who should buy it ! After we put the offer in , all of a sudden there were immediately now 3 offers in , and they hadn't the others till after we put ours in ... Hmmm a little suspect ! So then like I said before our offer was declined , so I kept checking to see if it had been sold from one of the other offers , and it hadn't ! In fact it just went back up on the market for a month or more ... We went on finding a real agent that helped us find what we wanted ! But our experience with Joe Jessall was terrible , he promised the world on his videos and couldn't come through on the house we wanted when we're were pre-qualified , etc ... I highly do NOT recommend Joe Jessal and his sub par tactics !

We finally stopped paying rent and told them we were holding it until we had a shower and toilet again. They evicted us, served us with court eviction that did NOT include an "Answer" page, thus we lost, becasue we never filed an answer. How could we, we never got the form that said anything but show up in court. We eventually moved, still no toilet or shower. Lil was no better than a slumlord, he son was a thief and I still consider Dolphin Realty, Lil, her hubby and her son dishonest, to say the least.

I remembered I had corresponded with Katy and located the email. I called her number and she answered right away. I explained the sitch and she said the manager just saw the message and was on his way from home to the office to get the spare key. She estimated about ten minutes and he'd be at the rental. Here's where it gets strange. About 25 mins later, the manager shows up, exits his car, didn't introduce himself, tells us the key is probably sitting inside, and has a screw driver in his hand. "No spare key?" I ask. "No, but I have a solution." He then starts to try to Jimmy the door lock. I'm thinking 2 things: 1. So we'll be in a house without a lockable front door? 2. How does one Jimmy a deadbolt? Fatigue, bladder rebellion, and chillier winds made me say, "I don't think that's going to work and you're going to ruin your door. We'll just take a refund and find a motel in Newport. He pulls a set of keys out of his pocket and says there's a rental just down the road we could use. And it's a better one. Ok, I always appreciate it when a person tries to make things right. The driveway into the property had multiple mud holes and going in I bottomed my car a bunch of times. We had to maneuver those holes every time we went out and came back. The house was bigger. We could use the hot tub, but the original rental didn't have one so none of us had bathing suits. The house was clean but it seemed it hadn't been readied for guests. There were few towels and 5 of us (in a house that was for 8) almost ran out of toilet paper. The table cloth had recent juice stains on(we just took it off), and the dishwasher was full of clean dishes. We unloaded so we could use it. I know people have bad days and things can go haywire. What concerned me in this experience was: - no response to my calls before closing time - no spare key - a screw driver to Jimmy a lock and a dead bolt? - having to ask for a refund to trigger the offer of the other place - not aware of readiness status of the place offered Hopefully this was a Murphy's Law one off crazy day. I cut my lip, which isn't serious but when I put that fact in my review ( I thought for safety , I should mention it to other renters) they wouldn't print my review. it's been two days and I thought maybe they'd post it, but they removed it.
