I had to find a new office recently and stumbled upon this place 3-4 years ago. Very local, and they did appointments after 5pm which was very convenient for me so I gave it a shot. I called to make an appointment and it was clearly a call center that answered but that's the way of the world these days so I was fine with it. My first appointment with my new PCP was great, she was very professional and knowledgeable. However after that initial visit, it's all gone down hill since. In general, it's very difficult to actually get a hold of the local office and not the corporate call center. So I tried messaging my PCP in their portal, and no response. Being that I was a new patient, they wanted my prior immunization record which I had to drop off to them just as they were closing after I rushed there from work. I then scheduled an appointment with a podiatrist shortly after who was rude and dismissive and spent maybe 2 minutes in the exam room before saying "you're fine" and walking out to the next patient. Most recently when I went to schedule my physical, my PCP was only seeing patients for a physical at ridiculous hours like 11:30am and 2:30pm, which doesn't work for anyone who works full-time. So I made an appointment with another doctor in the office, the only one who was taking physical appointments after 5pm. One thing I loved about this office was the online presence and the fact that you can schedule appointments online, view results, fill out questionnaires - it's very convenient. Recently they established the online check-in process which I did prior to my appointment and was led to believe that there would then be a kiosk I would scan my phone at when I entered. When I arrived, there was no check-in kiosk. So I waited on the line for the front desk, which was redundant because the online check-in was supposed to avoid the waiting. They then pointed me over to a computer off to the side where I had to check in. Again. Even though I checked in on my phone already, I had to fill out more information and do more waiting. So after the redundant check-in process, I got there and I waited for a good 20 mins when the assistant called me in and took my vitals. Then the doctor came in another 20 mins later. This doctor was very nice and energetic, however she was a mess. The first thing she said when she walked in was "omg why would the front desk schedule a physical at 5:30pm!!!??! Ugh!" I responded by saying that I unfortunately work 9-5 so the late appointments work best for me. She then proceeded to ask me the same medical questions I already answered in the online questionnaire prior to the appointment. She also told me that I have no immunization records on file even though I gave them in YEARS ago. And to top it off, she also told me my profile indicates I'm not due for a physical for another month, even though I typically get my physical in the first week of January every year. When I insisted that I didn't think it was correct, she was telling me that I might get charged with a bill because I wasn't due for a physical. I checked my records in the app after the appointment and behold, I was correct, my physical was in January last year like I said. I dare them to send me a bill. This is also the only doctors office that I've heard of that makes you schedule multiple appointments to complete the annual physical. So the 1 hour + that you spend in the initial appointment isn't enough, now they ask you to come back again for lab work. The internal lab takes another hour at least and is only open from 8-4 on weekdays - so again if you work, good luck. You have to fast before lab work so it's very hard to do both appointments in the same day. Why can't the doctor just take my damn blood themselves? We all know very well that they all were trained on how to do it. It just seems lazy. Oh and the best part was that after the appointment was over, I was given a script for the lab work that I needed to bring to the front desk. When I got back to the front desk, the woman working at the desk completely ignored me for 5 minutes while she took a personal phone call. Then she told me "oh we're closed, I already shut my computer off, you don't need an appointment." Safe to say I will be finding a new doctors office that isn't a mess and actually has their shit together. read more

Customer service is terrible. Wait times are horrid. No one seems to want to assist with any concerns.

I went to the Uniondale location today to see the gynecologist and it was the most dehumanizing experience ever. every concern I had was either dismissed or met with a crazy comment. I will definitely be going to a new comp because sad to say this isn't my first experience like this at that office. Just nasty attitudes , no empathy and snarky remarks. Had problem with a NP who I reported she was not following up with me on something serious about my mammogram. She never returned my calls and did not respond to her texts on MyChart I sent her. It was someone who responded she is not here. What a horrible NP she simply did not care I reported her to the health care. I could have had cancer she did not give a dam about time or me her patient. They should have never gotten rid of Bronx Docs they were very attentive to their patients. You get appointments quick and correct referrals. They do respond to the messages on MyChart. read more

I went for an annual and an issue for gyn and saw an NP. She was very nice but told me I needed to see a specialist for my issue. The nurse who called with my lab results also said I needed to see a specialist. I called back to find out what kind of specialist because it really made no sense. They called me back to tell me to see a regular gyno. 1. Communication is key, and telling someone they need to see a specialist when they don't delays care. 2. Why would you offer gyno at all if all you have is an NP? And, why would you not tell patients up front that you can't do something as simple as send them for an ultrasound because there is no MD/DO? If you need gyno, DO NOT go here. Your care will only be delayed. read more

well, I just left the facility with my daughter, we were few minutes late due to traffic on the highway, after I enter the building the white, close cut, late 50s elderly lady began to scream and being rude to my daughter I merely asked her why she is screaming at my daughter, she went into the back room 5 min later a female tech by the name of Alessia Piraino came out and continued to yell at my daughter and I because of being late for the appointment, she refused to render my daughter service unless I apologize which I did because of my daughters heart condition. I stated that I will make a complaint she said go ahead, such rude staff bad a bad experience...I will proceed further in filing additional complaints with the ACPNY corporate office and Dept of health office read more

I have visited 2 different doctors at this facility, a primary care physician and a gastroenterologist. They were both inconsiderate, concerned with only pushing their own agenda, not caring for what health issues i am experiencing. The staff was rude and testy. Don't go there! read more

The ACP primary care physicians in Bethpage have been one disappointment after the next. !!!! Dr Marufa Zaman is rude and yelled at me for requesting a mammogram the "incorrect way" ( I thought I was supposed to request it from her) And Dr Mosheni didn't even answer requests I made on the portal for referrals or call me to tell me I needed an in person visit to get a refil on a prescription. After several attempts to contact her My medicine was running out and I had to see another doctor who was more then happy to renew my prescription I don't have anything negative to say about the specialty doctors. I felt I was getting proper care from them But unfortunately I would NOT recommend the Bethpage ACP. read more

I'm trying to figure out how Dr. Marufa Zaman obtained her medical license. This doctor is the epitome of an incompetent doctor. She is also rude and unprofessional. I was taken back that I had to record her. She doesn't thoroughly explain anything. She couldn't even explain to me what TSH is. She refused to refer me to specialists who I have already been seeing and try to say I can only see specialists at ACPNY. That is not true. I feel sorry for patients that don't know how to advocate for themselves. I'm reporting her to the state and to my insurance company. If you have similar complaints, I urge you to do the same. read more

This place is GARBAGE! First I go to make an appointment for my PCP and it's another doctor. I explained to her I needed some referrals and she immediately shut me down saying that I need to see the ones there, but I already had some in mind, explaining I did t care if I came out of pocket, but no, she was rude and kept leaving the room too ask someone else questions. So I finally cave in and were referred to some doctor's on site. My appointment was scheduled and when I arrived the receptionist (the only one who was very nice) says to me you're the third person to come in to see this doctor and no one called you to say that she is not here. So I was furious because I had to cancel work to come to this appointment. So I come in to my rescheduled appointment and I proceeded to wait in the waiting room for over an hour. I was the only one there!! With nurses coming in and out, No one had the decency to ask if I was waiting for a doctor or who I was waiting for. So when I get into the room I waited another 10 minutes and the doctor asked me if I was waiting long and I told her, very. She then asked me if I was late to my appointment? And I told her no I was actually early. When I completed my appointment which only took about two minutes everyone seem disheveled coming in and out of the room I go back to the receptionist and asked to speak to a manager or administrator. The receptionist, who was very nice called the administrator but he said he would call me back I have yet to receive a call... DO NOT COME HERE!! I am currently looking for another PCP! read more

She is the best! My experienced with her was amazing. She practically SAVED MY LIFE! I was feeling ill for a long time, I kept going to different crappy hospitals like Jamaica. They couldn't find anything that was wrong with me. I knew something was off. I brought the test results to her from the blood work and she looked at them and send me to do some more result within the clinic. Come to find out I had AML leukemia. If i never step a foot into her office, i probably would have been dead! Thank you Vanita s. Kaul for saving my life! The best doctor by far! read more

Called them to schedule an appointment, besides having to spell my first and last name about 3 times they cancelled my appointment and didn't notify my. I got an email with the status of my appointment a day later saying that the status was "Cancelled" and the appointment was scheduled for a month in advance, December 14 since they didn't have anything available. I sent an email asking why it got cancelled, they said they will verify and never got back to me. I sent another email and no one responded to me. When i called they said it got cancelled because the doctor was off that day. Will never ever ever go to this clinic ever in my life. read more

This complaint is against Dr. Aslam and her staff. I had an appointment on 3/16/20. The first thing she did was asked me if I was still taking the medicine Wellbutrin I replied no you discontinued it. She said she would prescribed it to me along with Trazone for help with anxiety and sleep. The medicine was never fax to the pharmacy. I called a total of seven times and got a call center who kept saying the would relay the message. Till this day I am writing this review I have not received the medicine. I have been a patient at this center for many years and it is not the same the respect and courtesy is no more and run far from Dr. Aslam and staff. read more

Came here today for the first time after i got some serious neck pain yesterday morning. The office is super clean and the staff is awesome. I had no wait time whatsoever and there was plenty of parking. The doctor i saw was professional, punctual and straight to the point and met all my needs during my visit. I am definitely returning to this center in the future if I have any healthcare needs over the weekends. read more

Dr Vanita Kaul is a real problem, do not Ever book an appointment with her. She mistreated my mother so badly it would've been an arrest for elder abuse. Any other advantage care office would be in you better interest. So i made a 1245apt with Dr. Vanita Kaul for my father in law. Got stuck in a little traffic and i was 5-10 min late. I called ahead and they said no problem just get here before 1pm. I got there with abou 5-10 min to spare. Dr .Vanita Kaul refused to see my father in law even though he was there before the 1pm as stated over the phone. We explained his concerns were urgent and and pleaded but they wouldnt take him. Im positive Dr. Vanita Kaul was long gone. They said she would call to follow up to his concerns and to give him another apt. Never was called or anything. This was the last straw. Dr. Vanita Kaul was unprofessional and lacks compassion along with her staff. Finding a good doctor these days is like trying to find a good mechanic. She needs to find a new profession so the real doctors can help people in need with some actual people skills as well. read more

I had to get emergency information from them so I called for information and wait over 15 min to get someone, I did not get anyone, I gave up and hung up. The initial intake was a long line before we even get to the are where the doctor is.. everything is such a long wait with them. I wish I did not have to go to this facility. If ACP is such a great place why don't your doctors respond to the messages sent to them on your portal? I tore my ACL and I have been going to PT. My visits are over for the referral and I am to continue with PT per my orthopedist. I have sent many messages through the portal and PCP doesn't respond. I have even asked if there's something that I need and still no response. I am a NYC employee and if I did that, I would be written up. This is my health and I will pursue this issue and get my referral. I had to go in person, with my crutches so that I could get my first referral. This is really disgusting! Fix this problem at the Hicksville, NY location because if you don't, you will go out of business. The best doctor that you had there only worked for a short while because I am sure he couldn't deal with the incompetence at your clinic. You will never have a doctor like Dr. Wiseman. He's what people call a real doctor. Too bad that he retired again after coming out of retirement from his Manhattan private practice. read more

Since I got a new insurance, I was force to look for another Gynecologist Dr. I was nervous since I seen my previous Dr. For over 14 years anyway, set up an appointment with Dr. Valerie Rabinovich OMG!!! Nothing but the best, got my pap-smear done, blood test, she called me personally for test results, I can't be happier with her, she's very Profesional and down to earth Doctor that really cares about her patients. read more

My doctor is the best doctor in the world and she happens to work at the AdvantageCare Physicians Hicksville office. She issued a referral for an echo cardiogram on June 5, 2018. The company to perform the echo cardiogram advised that my insurance company requires an authorization code. So, I called the 516 938-0100 number listed and got the run around "that they were still waiting for the authorization." After several follow up calls, I realized that the aforementioned number was to a call center - a call center that apparently isn't trained on how to answer questions regarding authorizations (everyone just issues whatever response that they want). I finally got wise enough to have the call center patch me through to the actual Hicksville office. Yesterday and today, July 3, 2018, I spoke to two individuals, who I will not name, who could not provide any assistance - just more run around. They wanted, again, to give me the number to their referral department so that I can call to follow up - not my job. After listening to the employee go on about my insurance company not processing the authorization since June 5, 2018, I finally got through to her that her colleague told me yesterday that the problem was within AdvantageCare. After going back and forth, I was able to determine that AdvantageCare has a third party company named Evacor that processes authorizations. So, I asked whether they had someone in the Hicksville office that handles/oversees referral authorizations problems where they can speak to their third party and follow up. I was told that there is no one. I was given the name of the Office Manager who is out on "PTO" until Monday. I am appalled that they have no supervisory staff that follows up on outstanding authorizations for medical procedures. Horrible. What if the medical procedure was life saving and I'm just waiting in vain because there is no one that can assist? So, I spoke to my insurance company who advised that nothing was submitted from Advantage Healthcare and provided me with the required authorization form. They further explained that upon receipt, they process within 24 hours. On today's date, I emailed my doctor, made her aware of the matter and provided her with the form. I am certain that she will resolve the matter. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. Most of the time appointments are impossible to get even with internists/PCPs but the PAs are available... and that's because they're terrible. Expect to wait and bring your own reading material because not a single magazine can be found. The place is dingy and outdated and they are mish-mashed with part of it being "advanced/digital" and the other part still stuck in the past. Not such why they're wasting money on paying some idiot to be a "concierge" to make it look fancy because he does NOTHING. Even when I was wandering around trying to find out who I give a paper too that the PA gave me he looked me and turned around, couldn't be bothered. I needed an appointment with a specialist - good luck... nothing available for MONTHS. I also needed to do a follow-up for labs done that day with the actual PCP doctor - even worse... not available until into the NEXT YEAR.... kind of pointless to go over labs at that point. The labs were BS too, not sure why the PA felt the need to have them done (other than to just bill insurance) because I came in with copies of fresh labs which she made copies of. She told me it was because they needed labs in the system and their system was different from everyone else's. Sounds like you need a new system. You're telling me your system can't scan in my existing labs? BS, just a SCAM to bilk insurance for needless procedures. Saw the PA who isn't (and even stated she doesn't know psychology) who spent nearly the whole time telling me I needed SSRIs and when I told her SSRIs don't actually produce serotonin (of which I'm extremely low on) she got all mad and told me that's exactly what they do. When I pointed out that the "RI" means "Re-uptake Inhibitor" meaning it stops the brain from reabsorbing/wasting the chemical and doesn't MAKE the chemical she told me she has 36 years in the field. I don't care - you're wrong and you're not trained in that area so stop pushing medications that aren't in your wheel house. When I told her I wanted to see the endo for neuro testing to find out why I'm always so low with serotonin she said (too many times to count) she didn't think he would see me because I was trans and he doesn't handle trans patients. I, just as often repeated, I don't need him to treat me as a trans patient, I need him to treat me as a any other patient because my issues ARE in his wheel house. The second she realized I was trans when she walked in she seemed bothered by it and even left the room briefly and then proceeded to ask me the most insulting questions (that didn't even pertain to why I was there or even any medical treatment). The guy at the lab desk was just as rude and lackadaisical. I had a 10:15 appointment and arrived at 10am as I was instructed, I wasn't called back until nearly 11 and was just seen by the intake nurse who took my vitals (who couldn't seem to get my BP right and wound up guessing it was "about" such-and-such). Then they sent in some random counselor with a business card because I was "depressed" which I tried to explain I wasn't depressed, I have a chemical issue which is why I was there in the first place and I wanted it fixed. The PA then spent the rest of her time with me, in between treating me like a leper, trying to tell me how depressed I was and how much I really needed those SSRIs and how they were going to have counseling services contact me. No matter how many times I tried to explain that I was there to just get set up as PCP to get to see the endo for the low levels which is why I "present" on a limiting questionnaire as depressed she couldn't seem to understand the basic science/medical cause behind that. I spent nearly THREE HOURS there between the waiting room and being left in the exam room just to come out feeling battered and exhausted not to mention outrageously insulted. I immediately contacted my insurance company to advise them I would NOT be returning to their recommended medical practice nor would I be changing PCPs and that I wanted absolutely nothing to do with this place ever again. read more

I needed to visit the Lenox Hill radiology office that shares the facilities with advantage care physicians. The incompetent advantage care physicians staff person at the door wouldn't let me into the building, was nasty, rude, and hostile and continued to provide commentary on me to a colleague after I turned my back. Based on this experience I would never patronize advantage care physicians and advise that if you wan to be treated as a patient with dignity and respect you do the same! As a point of reference, the staff at Lenox Hill Radiology were pleasant and said that walk-ins are accommodated at their facility. So why am I told I can't enter the building advantage care physicians? Management of advanced care physicians, you seriously need to replace your initial point of contact at the door with someone who knows how to speak to people. And to those seeking health care, please take your health care needs elsewhere! read more

When my mom had an appointment for a routine check-up in late May (which took almost 3 months to get) the doctor said he wanted to discuss the blood work up results personally at the next available appointment which is not until August. In the mean time prescriptions needed to get renewed. Given that the appointment to go over the blood test results is not until August it seemed that there would be time to get the blood work done. A prescription renewal was requested was made to the doctor and the nurse replied that you can't get that done until the blood work is completed so the medications ran out, oh well - and they couldn't care less - its your problem. What difference does it make if the lab work didn't get done immediately since it would not be reviewd until August. If the doctor wanted the appointment to be set up with an assistant to go over the results HE SHOULD HAVE SAID SOMETHING DURING THE VISIT!!!!! What kind of medical practice is this where they think its okay for people to go without necessary medications? or is this some sort of a punishment in the little officious, going through the motions operation they got going there. ACPNY is a threadbare operation with a handful of overworked doctors and lots of "support staff" trained in "customer service". The so called healthcare teams are really gatekeepers whose job it seems is to keep you away from the doctor - they go through the motions to make you believe you are getting service but in actuality do nothing. They prevent you form getting any actual help while stringing you along to get you to come in for pointless appointments for things they know they can't do without the actual doctor all as a ploy for what seems is a scheme to get the office visit insurance reimbursements. Everything is do it yourself at this place and if you can't spend the hours on the phone and on line to make your way through their byzantine bureaucracy the officious attitudes and the catch 22 situations - it's your problem - Can't see an orthopedic specialist for an accident you ended up at the Emergency room for unless you see your primary care physician. The first appointment with the PCP is a month and a half away, oh well that's YOUR PROBLEM, have any more pain go back to the ER! That's your "Care Team" at ACPNY. Under previous managements the quality of care at the health centers was great but with ACPNY its hit rock bottom. Time to go. read more

Carl P. I've been going to this center for longer than I want to remember and I can truthfully say it is not the same. It was great when the kids were small, it was like 1 stop shopping for medical care. You were in and out in a minimal amount of time. Today they assign you with a PCP who is the God over your medical care, but the problem is you can never get an appointment within a reasonably amount of time to see them. Example; you don't feel good today, you call to see if you can be seen by your PCP, not availably till 3 weeks, would you like to see another doctor, that's fine, ok none available today, would you be willing to see a NP, Midwife, the janitor, etc. or you can come in later today to there Urgent Care and sit in a room with 10 to 15 other sick people that had the same problem you had. Next, you need a refill on a prescription, you can call or now go to an online acct. Your told you must see your PCP to get that prescription. OK I have 8 pills left, when can I be seen, earliest 2 weeks, how does that work out, I'll be out of pills, Ok here we go again, would you be willing to see another doctor, etc., etc., etc. Get the picture!!! For me its time for a change. Good luck with your medical decisions and if you have other options, consider them first. read more
