I have been in the ER here a few times over the years and have mostly had good experience. The majority of staff here seem to know what they are doing and help as much as they can. The doctors I have seen have been pretty good with one going above and beyond to diagnose the issue, which I really appreciate. The ER itself is ok but they really need more space here. There has never been a time when I have come where it hasn't been fairly crowded and I hate that injured people are made to wait with sick people making it possible that they will get sick as well. There should be a better triage and placement system in the waiting area but they honestly just don't have the room for that at this location. The waits can be pretty long as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have also had to come to the administrative section of the hospital to retrieve records on a few occasions. Once, the specialist office I was referred to after an ER visit called me the evening before my appointment (which had been scheduled MONTHS out) and said I needed a rush on scans because the other location didn't bother to do their job and request them. Otherwise, I would have had to push the appointment back months again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to spend all morning at the records department here and although it normally takes a few weeks, a staff member was willing to help me, which they didn't have to do, and I waited while he burned everything onto a cd for me, which was very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall I think this is a good hospital and most of the staff really are trying their best. The one star reviews left by people because one person disrespected or annoyed them are silly imo. I know the situations that bring you here are very serious and emotional but we should all try and have some grace. I have had an experience with a bad male nurse, watching his maga news and being dismissive of women's pain as well as a scary experience where a female nurse started to cut into my hand before checking that the anesthetic had taken effect. People are different and we all make mistakes but overall health professionals do care and they are under a lot of stress so I really believe that in the scheme of things, this hospital deserves a better rating. read more

This review is specifically to praise PA Christopher Tilton, RN Patrick, and Radiology Technician Nathan. Adventist Health, these are the kinds of employees that you pray and hope you're lucky enough to obtain and retain. PA Chris was the perfect combination of personable, professional, and genuinely empathetic. I felt completely safe under his care as this gentleman just gives the energy that no matter what happens, I'm going to be OK and he is on it and he is going to make decisions that are thought out and in my best interest. He absolutely goes above and beyond and this hospital is very lucky to have him as such an asset. What a kind soul this man is. RN Patrick makes you wonder if he's even real because it's so rare nowadays to come across medical staff who genuinely care about making sure that you feel OK and that you're doing alright. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He has a wonderful bedside manner, and a sense of humor that is a breath of fresh air.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I do wish that I wasn't so miserable and feeling at my lowest when interacting with him because I think I could definitely banter and joke back-and-forth with that gentleman for days. I'm so glad that I got to interact with these amazing staff because when I was in the waiting room waiting to see if the triage nurse, I was hunched over in a wheelchair, groaning and crying and shaking and pain as the triage nurse sat at her desk just having a long unprofessional conversation with a coworker who was on his break while I in the waiting room waiting for her to even address me. Wow, so I really want to like Lodi Memorial Adventist because I will not go to Dameron or Saint Joseph in Stockton as da I've heard/experienced so many horror stories about both of these hospitals! But, I gotta tell you that after my 10-year-old grandchild hit her head and got stitched up in the emergency room..... never will I go back and I will make sure that everyone I know knows this and sees this photo! I am so upset and so are her mom and dad! The rooms were pretty durty and the toilet was leaking and behind and in the shower was mold,or something because it's not behind mine. Also if you need to use the bathroom and need help you will be waiting for awhile or you do it by yourself then they say call. They left me in my clothes and bedding for over 5 days and my daughter had to come and do it all including changing my bedding. I had my son at this hospital on March 2nd this year, and it wasn't a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While most of the nurses were respectful, there was one nurse in particular who was not.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm leaving this review because I felt disrespected by her. I'm very nice and soft-spoken, so I usually get along with people. I want to start by saying that I never disrespected this person. Within the first five minutes of her arrival, she needed to insert my IV. She poked me in the arm, causing a bruise, and did not apologize for it. That was the first issue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then she expressed frustration with me because it took her a while to get my IV going.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Once she managed to insert it into my hand, I was on bed rest due to being induced. After I received the epidural and gave birth to my son, I asked multiple times for it to be removed. It took four hours before she finally took it out, despite other nurses telling me it should be removed within two hours. She neglected me when it came to using the bedpan; she didn't wash it, and it was full of blood. My mom had to ask her to clean it. Mind you, I had just given birth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When she finally cleaned it, I overheard her say, "such a pretty little monkey," referring to my baby. She made racist remarks by calling my baby a monkey twice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Before I went into labor, she never checked to see if I was dilated as she was supposed to. This review is for the surgeon, nurses, surgical staff and recovery nurse. My wife diagnosed as breast cancer had a lumpectomy performed by Dr. Sukhmine Nedopil. She is awesome. Very caring and explained everything in detail that was going to be done. After surgery she came out immediately and explained everything that was done and my wife's condition. [[HIGHLIGHT]]During recovery I was allowed to be by my wife as she was having a difficult time feeling nausea and low O2 level without oxygen.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Karen the attending nurse was outstanding for compassion and helping with the nausea and pain. The wait for the outpatient lab is horrendous! You have to sign in then sit and wait to "check in" then wait some more to actually be called to do labs. Even worse when the labs are for my one year and myself. There is no priority given to little ones (Kaiser use to have a separate line for little ones so families didn't have to wait). After an hour of waiting after signing in and still not being called to check in we walked out. This place treats family members as though they are unwelcome and need to be policed. Family members are not welcome beyond the 1st floor lobby (not even to the cafeteria). Even when your member is having end of life care. Donated waiting, rooms are closed to families, and are bing used for staff lunch breaks or blaring televisions (missing remotes) so that family members can not have a quiet place to sit. The chapel is gone. Last month, we lost the matriarch of our family, and today, her widow has visitors sitting in cars because he was admitted. Any care they claim to give to the grieving is strictly performative. This is not what I want for health care, especially end of life/dealing with death. We don't want to be here again today. When my insurance changed at the beginning of the year I was very nervous to find a good doctor. I was recommended to try out the Adventist Health Millsbridge clinic in Lodi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a few different referrals one to OBGYN Dr. Campbell in Galt. I had previously seen Dr. Nakka but she transferred to Sutter Gould. Dr. Campbell was so kind, respectful and knowledgeable and the office handled my appointments in a timely manner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was also referred to neurology for my chronic migraine headaches. Again the referral was effortless. I saw Dr. Moshi. He took my complaint of headaches seriously and came up with a plan to get me feeling better. Also, he was such a kind and knowledgeable doctor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was feeling hopeless with living with headaches but because of him I definitely feel my quality of life will be increased. He called my prescriptions into the Adventist Health Pharmacy in Lodi and got an additional service approved by my insurance which we all know can be very difficult. This is the best care I've received for my daughter. I was recommended this location after my mom came in once. Now yes, you get there, check in with receptionist, let them know what's going on, how you're feeling, then you sit and wait to be called. They'll either call you for registration, vitals or see a nurse in the back. I brought my daughter in on a Monday morning 945am, the waiting room was already completely full! We were lucky to get the last 2 seats available. After about an hour of waiting, they called my daughter for her vitals, everything normal. I let them know of her chest pain and how I wanted an X-ray ordered. She had us wait again. We waited about an hour. Nurse called us back and she examined my baby, listened to her lungs, suggested there was a cold/flu/fever going around which I already knew because my kid had a fever of 103.6 for 2 days, but I brought her in due to the chest pain. Then said she was still going to order the X-ray to be safe. By then we were in the private waiting room in back. They also wanted blood work.. we handled that and the phlebotomist working that day was very nice to my kid she was talking he through the whole process and although my daughter cried because it hurt I appreciated the lady's patience with my baby. After another hour or so of waiting, they did the chest X-ray, we were told we had to wait for the doctor to see them then they'll let us know next steps. We wait maybe 15 mins and then the nurse came back out and brought us in, she said my daughter has severe pneumonia, both lungs they're going to get her a private room and admitted. They even said she was bordering sepsis and may need to be transported to UC DAVIS.. by then my heart is racing! They got us an admitted into ER in a private room by 335pm. Started her on an IV. (I was extremely mad at the nurse who administered it. My daughter is only 6. She just had blood work done that was hard enough, then IV & the lady misses my kids vein and is still trying to flush it! While my kid is screaming crying saying it hurts. I tell her EXCUSE ME. I'm pretty sure you missed the vein! Pull it out. She then proceeds to keep wiggling needle trying to find it. My kid screaming crying "why is she doing this to me... why is this happening to me.. I should've never came here.." That broke my entire heart. Finally the lady pulls it and says "I missed.. turn her over l got to try the other arm." Wtf. My kid thought it was over until it wasn't. Thankfully she got this one right. After she put my 6 year old through so much. They then started a breathing treatment to help my baby breathe. After 35 mins, the pediatrician came in and examined my daughter she said that she believes with antibiotics and being watched for 24 hours in hospital she may be able to go home depending on how her lungs sound in 24 hours. So we were admitted and in a room in the hospital at 8pm. The hospital visit was amazing! The nurse that night was extremely sweet! She walked me through everything. Put a tracking bracelet on my daughter's wrist. Let me know she comes in every hour to check on her. Talked to her before she touched her or gave her antibiotics because my daughter was terrified anytime they touched her. The nurse that night was so nice she literally noticed how my daughter was having trouble sleeping through the night and crying.. she brought her 3 bags of bracelet makers, 2 new books & a brand new toy!! She was even nice enough to let the cafeteria know I was her mother and staying with her so I was able to order breakfast and lunch for both my daughter and myself without having to pay extra. Other than the nurse in the ER who started my daughter's IV, everyone else was amazing! They truly care about their patients here. A lot of people complain about the wait time.. yes it can be horrifying sometimes but people have to remember there's only so many people and machines and rooms and they have to give priority to people with worse symptoms at the moment. I recommend Adventist Lodi Memorial ER to anyone who needs to be seen urgently. I came all the way from Stockton because I damn sure wasn't taking my baby to St Joseph's in Stockton!!! read more

Right now I'm on the waiting room in the results pending section. My daughter in not working today and these people don't know I'm a retired nurse. Most of the time I get it it's short staffed crazy patient, but in moment in this case they're dead wrong. I have multiple medical conditions ranging from AAA, to DDD, I have 4 doctors taking of care of me. I came in this S/Sx of vomiting x3 and 4x episodes of loose stool. They starting an IV for Fluids, zofran, and pain and medication. They took my labs and then told to wait outside for CT of my abdomen. Oh yea I am having in my lowering abdomen severe pain that is 10/10. Anyone care to guess based on the evidence what do I have? I'm fucking pissed. I can't speak for the waiting room but in here there seating elderly and generational X people and everyone can go right in. I'm crying my husbands pissed and this is so fucked up. For the E.D. in getting me in and out quickly and compassionate care. Straight and to the point. I think I will be out in less than 2 hours today. That's a miracle. I've been here in the past much longer but that's when many other patients with greater needs needed to be seen. Other times I've visited with my dad and his needs were taken care of. I had accompanied my mom to her colonoscopy appt yesterday and all I have to say is that EVERYONE in this whole hospital has been nothing but kind to us. From the moment I walked in to ask for direction, the security lady gave us details on where the office is located at. While we were on our way there, another staff made sure we were going to the right direction. When we got there, the front lady that checked us in was super helpful. Once my mom got situated on the gurney, her RN made sure she was feeling okay. The MD even came out and made sure she was prepped for her operation. After the colonoscopy, the staff made sure she was hydrated and well enough to go home. She had felt dizzy from the anesthesia so the RNs made sure she was okay before I take her home. I went to the ED with my son overnight with my son and experienced the WORST hospital care yet. Not only did the nurse forget to take my son for his ct for 3 hours but i also found a group of 6 doctors and nurses "playing" running around in the ambulance bay. After I fell in the rain while visiting Lodi, I was admitted to Adventist Health Lodi Memorial on Saturday, May 4 with a broken femur. Successful surgery on Sunday morning but severe pain remained in my right knee and right inner thigh. Surgeon tried convincing me pain had nothing to do with my fall, and after begging for 5 days, a hospitalist agreed "to do me a favor" and request an MRI against my surgeon's wishes. Results confirmed 5 days after surgery - torn meniscus, torn ligament, etc. Surgeon still not convinced pain (and my inability to move my right leg so I could walk) was due to my fall. During my 7 days in this hospital, I was told the surgeon who operated would be in charge of all my care, and following discharge, I'd be transferred to a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Lodi. My adult daughters and I explained I live in Tucson, AZ and preferred to go home. Surgeon said I'd be in Lodi perhaps a few months, there was no way he'd allow me on a plane, and that my care must remain in Lodi. We asked repeatedly if there was any chance I could transfer to a SNF in the SF Bay Area where my daughters and family live, and we were told no - and Medicare would not cover any of the charges. This was told to me and my daughters numerous times during the week, by the AHLM surgeon, hospitalist and case manager. This is blatantly false information. Finally on Friday after hearing the MRI results, we asked the case manager AGAIN if I could be transferred somewhere other than Lodi and she reluctantly agreed. I spent the next 24 hours vetting SNFs, and we narrowed it down to 2 in the SF Bay Area, one in my hometown of Fremont, CA where they unconditionally accepted me on Saturday May 11 and where I stayed for 4 weeks, re-learning how to walk. I was then able to board a plane on June 8 and return home to Tucson. My stay there was blissful and the complete opposite of my time at AHLM. (While reading the above makes me sound paranoid, please allow me to say I'm no "Karen". But having been an HR Director in 3 hospitals, I know a little about patient rights. I'd hate another patient to go through what I experienced, and once AHLM learned I didn't believe them, they were hell bent to discharge me, which they did on Saturday afternoon. All I expected during my stay was to be taken care of. Instead, I was lied to repeatedly by staff members insisting MEDICARE WOULD NOT COVER MY EXPENSES UNLESS I REMAINED IN LODI, CA - I assume so Medicare funds would remain in Lodi County. This is NOT how Medicare works!) When I returned home, I reached out to the Director of Risk Management at AHLM and she returned my call once, leaving a message. I called back to thank her, and request a return call and...she never did. Left with no alternative I filed a complaint with the California Department of Public Health and The Joint Commission. I called the Director of Risk Management at AHLM again to alert them and again, no reply. So irresponsible. After I left 5 messages, I gave up - they just didn't want to hear about it. Of course if I could leave zero stars that would be preferable. And by the way, the CDPH (above) referred to their actions as Medicare fraud. read more

Went in here from work on Monday after noon with extreme pain and come and go vomiting for the last 48 hours it's happened a few times before but never for this duration. They did a couple X-rays and some anti nausea medicine in an IV and then sent me home while I was still puking. Told me to contact my normal doc The next morning after throwing up all night like every 20 mins I decided to get a better second opinion so I drive to Kaiser in Manteca they had me diagnosed and admitted in less than 6 hours Did an emergency surgery on Thursday and sent me home. I was having medical issues late Tuesday afternoon. I called my doctor's office at 4:50pm, their office was closed and my call was routed to the answering service. I left a message requesting a call. Around 10 pm, since the doctor had yet to respond to my message my wife and I made the decision that I should proceed to an emergency room. We went to Lodi Memorial Hospital ER. We arrived and within about 15 minutes I was triaged and within 20 minutes I was seen by a physician. I am extremely pleased with the care I received from this hospital. read more

Had to bring my Grand Daughter here after a local urgent care, "California Urgent Care Center" refused to see her as I was her grandmother even though I have all her information. It was for the best!!! The PA that saw her was so great, he took time to speak with her and got her meds and fluids and we went about our way. We were visiting from out of town. The care from the receptionist, nurses and Dr was great. My late brother in law was a patient here and they were amazing with his care too. read more

I don't think I have ever went to a hospital and was in and out like I was tonight. The team at Lodi memorial was awesome. They made me feel very comfortable even though I was in a lot of pain. They were very quick once they found out what was wrong with me. And once they gave me medication I already started feeling better before I was discharged. I definitely will be going back and recommending them every chance I get. Great job! read more

I came in with my father who had Covid to the emergency room at 12 o'clock midnight. Immediately we were seen and triaged by Antonio, Tabatha, and Destiny who were all extremely professional and concise with getting our story straight! we were brought into a room right away. Before we could even get settled, Dr. Stuart was already at the door to see how my father was. After a quick examination and a few questions about my father's history, Dr. Stuart took the time to explain to us his plan for medical treatment, and was off to put the orders in. literally within minutes, Don was in our room with the phlebotomist to start my dad on medications and a blood draw. Don and Antonio checked in with us quite often to see how we were doing and to update us on what we were waiting for. We were in and out within three hours! nowhere have I ever expected to have such good service and treatment at an emergency room in the middle of the night. Absolutely phenomenal! I will be sure to bring all of my family members to this hospital should they need help. It is clear that anyone who checks into this emergency room is in good hands. keep it up! Went to the ER today at the advice of an urgent care doc. After two hours all they had done was take my vitals and told me to sit down. And I wasn't alone - a lot of people had been waiting and were getting increasingly angry; apparently there was only one ER doc on duty - at 9am. I was having a lot of stomach cramps and they were refusing to give me water even though I was severely dehydrated, so I went to the receptionist, Angie, and told her I was going to leave. She got nasty and told me I'd be billed anyway even though I hadn't been seen. Not a word about asking why I was leaving or if I was ok to drive. In fact, the entire staff at reception that day was rude to almost everyone they "helped," and it was hard to watch. These jaded, bitter people have no business working in healthcare. Truly a prime example of everything wrong with American healthcare now: money-focused and uncaring. I don't care if I'm dying: I won't be going here again, and I will warn off everyone I know. read more
