I've spoken to them via DM, phone, and in person. Each time they were apologetic but didn't take responsibility. We boarded our 2 pups for day care, on Tuesdays only, once a month to support our schedule. I lost track of the dates, but I have the receipts from the Vet. Our pups got sick on or around: 9/30/25 - Bordatella 10/24/25- vomiting and pancreatitis 11/26/25 - respiratory infection 1/15/26 - respiratory infection 3/5/2026- respiratory infection 6/11/2026 - respiratory infection Any statement from them that says "we didn't know" is patently false. They knew. Shame on us for believing them, and shame on us for putting out babies through this. We were truly acting in good faith, as we thought they were too. Thousands of dollars in vet bills for X-rays, medications, blood tests, exams.

If you are considering boarding your dog at Zoomies Pet Hotel, please be  aware of numerous respirtory illnes infections after staying at Zoomies. ​There has been numerous upper respiratory infections reported since at least March.  With some pet owners reporting issues tracing back as far as last September. After growing concerned, I posted on local community Facebook pages to see if others had shared this experience. The response was overwhelming and deeply alarming: over 40 local pet owners responded within just 24 hours. ​The vast majority of these respondents stated their dogs contracted severe coughs or respiratory infections immediately following their stay there. While some recovered rather quickly others remained sick for weeks and some months.  Tragically, there are reports that at least two dogs have passed away after contracting this illness. ​When a breakout of this magnitude persists from March through  June, it is clear that the situation was not contained.  If 40 people came forward in a single day, the true number of affected animals is likely much higher. Continuing to accept dogs under these conditions is irresponsible. Please think twice before boarding your animals here given the numerous infections in this facitiy.

U-Haul stated that the reservation was made for this location at that time and that this morning it was changed by the location to Mary Esther the next town over that doesn't open for another 3hrs. If somehow a mistake was made that's fine, inconvenient but understandable. Her yelling and being completely unprofessional and incredibly rude was unacceptable. While our pups are not the doggie daycare type, they were stinky. I stopped in and spoke with the owner, Josh. I was impressed with his passion for his business and his knowledge of the Fort Walton Beach area. After talking with him, I completed an information sheet on the dogs. It was great to see the vaccine records checked before the dogs could be groomed. Kaylee, the groomer, called me and we scheduled the appointments. Over the phone, Kaylee was so personable. In person she was so professional and positive about our dogs. When we picked them up, the dogs both smell good and are SOOOO SOFT. If we lived here, Kaylee would be our groomer! When we arrived to drop them off, the staff wasn't friendly or inviting, which should have been our tell-all. Walking back to the kennel, it was dark, cold, uninviting, and sad. The worst part was picking them up. We arrived early, which gave us the true picture of their time there. They were so frantic to get out of there, they weren't happy to see us, but instead blazed past us for the front door like they were trying to escape. We've never seen them act this way. Despite having "outdoor access" their beds and blankets smelled so badly of pet waste we had to discard them, and they were having to lay in that filth and stink because they seemed to have had nowhere else to go. They also had never been given their toys or treats. The staff was as cold and unfriendly as when we left them, we should have run for our lives and never ever left our babies there. My dogs slept in playroom since they always stay together, I asked if I should bring their beds and was told it was not necessary cots or pallets would be provided but if I wanted to bring something from home like a blanket or toy to have a familiar scent so I provided their blankets. One of my dogs is 15yrs old and has health issues and as I said my other dog has issues with her knees and they were forced to sleep on the concrete floor with only their blankets I brought. Also wanted to bring their huge bowl they drink out of and is enough for 3 dogs and was again told not too they had plenty of bowls. I have videos showing only one small bowl for my three babies to share was there at closing till someone came in on the weekend the next day. When I made multiple complaints finally a pail was brought in which I was told they should have had from the start. I made my complaints and was told that management would be talked to and they would mention compensation because they agreed I didn't not get the services for my dogs that I was assured I would and the incident with dragging my dog was wrong. I waited over a mth and no one ever got back to me I reached out today and was told it was not mandatory to provide cots or make pallets well why the heck didn't you say that and let me bring my fur babies beds when I asked instead of saying you would provide that and refusing their bowl. I was told no compensation and that there were two bowls in there when I have proof there was 1 and why did they bring a pail in then when I complained? Plus more than anything dragging my terrified baby. I will never board my animals there again since it's excuses and no accountability. To say you sent the same person u have had problems with before since multiple complaints about them from other people back to training after it took me showing I had the video of my fur baby being dragged. That person shouldn't even be allowed to work there if it's not just me complaining. Just terrible and I hate to have to post this but it's necessary. I will not say that no one there is good because that's not true. There are some staff that truly love the animals but unfortunately this took place and ruins it for the good ones.
