Boarded my 3 Dogs for the 1st time here and never again. My dog was scared to go outside and staff dragged her all the way 2 the door by leash choking her with a collar rather then get her harness my dogs never wear collars. she has issues with her knees have the video to prove it when they saw it all they could say is they have had multiple reports with this same person and then says but don't worry she's back in training when I was assured staff was already fully trained. My dogs slept in playroom since they always stay together, I asked if I should bring their beds and was told it was not necessary cots or pallets would be provided but if I wanted to bring something from home like a blanket or toy to have a familiar scent so I provided their blankets. One of my dogs is 15yrs old and has health issues and as I said my other dog has issues with her knees and they were forced to sleep on the concrete floor with only their blankets I brought. Also wanted to bring their huge bowl they drink out of and is enough for 3 dogs and was again told not too they had plenty of bowls. I have videos showing only one small bowl for my three babies to share was there at closing till someone came in on the weekend the next day. When I made multiple complaints finally a pail was brought in which I was told they should have had from the start. I made my complaints and was told that management would be talked to and they would mention compensation because they agreed I didn't not get the services for my dogs that I was assured I would and the incident with dragging my dog was wrong. I waited over a mth and no one ever got back to me I reached out today and was told it was not mandatory to provide cots or make pallets well why the heck didn't you say that and let me bring my fur babies beds when I asked instead of saying you would provide that and refusing their bowl. I was told no compensation and that there were two bowls in there when I have proof there was 1 and why did they bring a pail in then when I complained? Plus more than anything dragging my terrified baby. I will never board my animals there again since it's excuses and no accountability. To say you sent the same person u have had problems with before since multiple complaints about them from other people back to training after it took me showing I had the video of my fur baby being dragged. That person shouldn't even be allowed to work there if it's not just me complaining. Just terrible and I hate to have to post this but it's necessary. I will not say that no one there is good because that's not true. There are some staff that truly love the animals but unfortunately this took place and ruins it for the good ones. read more

My dog got bad allergies on her skin from this place. Be careful. They will not gonna take care of your dog like you think. Only one thing they say is we sorry but we can't do anything.if you love your dog please be careful. I know skin allergies can happens to any dog but not right after I pick her up from this place and I told them to take a shower for my dog on the last day before I pick her up as well but when we arrived this is what I got, my dog is very wet and smell so bad. Where do I begin? I called Primo on November 4 to schedule a bath and a D shedding for my dog. I dropped her off on November 5 at approximately 6:30 in the morning. To allow her to play and have fun with other dogs. Before I picked her up the next day, I got a phone call from Primo saying that my dog was in an accident at 2 PM, which is when the accident happened, but I got the phone call at 4 PM. Destiny, the employee, happened to call me and tell me that my dog was in an accident and that another dog attacked her and tore her ear off at that moment in time. I was confused about why I had to wait two hours for a phone call when you're supposed to call the Owner immediately, but that wasn't the case. When I got there to pick up my dog, I noticed two girls were on their phones on a personal phone call, and I had to wait 10 minutes to see my dog. I could not understand why when I got to see my dog, she was in a cage, locked up with the headband. Blood was dripping from her ear at that point. I was furious inside and couldn't understand, but Destiney had told me and reassured me that they would pay for the Vet. There was no communication from Sydney or the staff for four days. It was mind-blowing, and I was so angry inside, and I could not understand why, finally, the third day. I called up there on the third day, and I told Primo that if the owner or Sydney did not call me back, I would contact an attorney. That's when the ball started rolling. The Owner finally called and was a little confused on the third day. The poor gentleman Kyle, the owner, had just taken over Primo on September 30. read more

We have been using Primo for more than a year now and we still LOVE it! Everyone knows my dogs and it makes me happy that they greet them by name and give them lots of love. My husband travels all the time so whenever I'm out of town or busy for an extended period I take my two labs to Primo and they come back exhausted from playing without fail. It's so nice to find a place that has room for my two bigger dogs (100 lbs and 70 lbs) to run around and get all of their energy out. I just can't say enough good things about Primo! If only they had a frequent guest program like a hotel chain... we would be platinum members. Can't wait for their Fort Walton Beach location to open next year! read more

Pretty disappointed, I called to make an appointment to get my dog bathed. I verified over the phone that I wanted to be present with my dog while he got groomed due to his high anxiety, she said it was fine, so I booked the appointment. However when we checked in they stated I could only be in the waiting area while he got bathed in a separate room, so we left. Next time please be clear with your future clients the expectations. We have a 70lb English bulldog and if you've never taken care of or had one before, it could prove stressful. With that being said, my husband and I travel a lot and haven't had much luck with others taking care of our dog. That is until we tried primo. The staff was very accommodating when we had to leave short notice and schedule a temperament visit the day before we had to leave town. After explaining how our dog could be stubborn at times they assured us that he's not the first bully they've housed. Some of the staff members had experience taking care of this breed and we were happy to hear that. Once we dropped him off for his stay they showed us how to login to view their doggy cameras (great for those who love to check up on their pups!) and double checked to see if any type of special instructions/medications were necessary for the week. I've gone back 3 more times since our first visit and this is THE PLACE for us! I try to avoid leaving reviews when situations occur in hopes that businesses will eventually make corrections and adjust to poor customer service. Unfortunately, I feel this is a review that needs to be left. First, I am aware (and you should be aware) that Primo in Niceville has been slammed with customers over the last several months and are bursting at the seams. This has been evident in the way they schedule and run their business. We talked to someone several months ago who said they had our dog scheduled out for the remainder of the year, once a month, for a full wash. Fast forward a month, he's mysteriously not on the schedule. No worries, they take our dog and give him a wash and go (not what we were hoping for, but grace was given.) We were told he was put on the schedule going forward. Fast forward another month, not on the schedule again. Were able to "squeeze him in" and assured us he would be squared away for next month. Well, you guessed it, showed up today and not on the schedule. Left with a quick wash and go and pretty disappointed. No effort to correct or apologize. My second issue is that, because they are bursting at the seams, dogs are not given any breathing room. Our dog has never had any aggression issues, has been boarded several times at other facilities in the past, has had aggression analysis by vets, and we get a phone call back in April that he was aggressive with another dog. The person we talked to said no worries, it happens sometimes especially when they've been booked to the max and that there would be no issues with our dog being allowed to play independently in the future. Awesome. Well today we booked for boarding in October, and I got a pretty snarky phone call that our dog would not be allowed to be boarded. Ever, because they saw aggression one time. And that he could not do independent boarding because, you guessed it, they are WAY TOO FULL. We got no breakdown on what actually happened back in April - so how do we know if it was our dog as the instigator or someone else's dog being a bully?? So. Don't bring your dogs here. They are way too full and are desperately in need of space, workers, and quite frankly, better customer service. read more

I've been taking my pups to Primo for almost 3 years now. The staff is so friendly and I always see a lot of the same faces which is very comforting. I love that I can see pics throughout the day in fb of their days and I can stay up to date and know they are having fun. We travel to Boston a lot and sometimes go to the mountains and when I'm gone I honestly do not worry one minute (but I do miss them ) I have used Primo at least 6 times and I have never been disappointed. My golden LOVES their FWB location. Reasonable price. They keep the peace, and have test visit to decide if a dog is allowed to come. They have a pool if your dog likes swimming. They have cameras so you can check in on your pup. My dog behaves so well after getting all his energy out at daycare. They also post high quality pictures to their Facebook page every day, so you'll get to see them playing and having a good time. Nothing but good things to say about these folks. read more

my mini schnauzer is a regular at primo since they opened. The whole staff knows her name when she comes in the door! She has stayed while we go away on vacation and we also get her grooming done there and she stays the rest of the day to play and hang out with her friends and the crew and she comes home a happy camper tuckered out from a great day. We have a 100 pound German Shepard and he has visited primo on multiple times. The staff has always been extremely nice and helpful. They were very accepting of a big dogs and did a great job making sure he got plenty of exercise and play with the other dogs. I can not say enough good things about Primo Dog. Not only do they take incredible care of my 2 year old GoldenDoodle, they are always so kind and willing to help. Just recently, I found myself in a situation where I was leaving town and last minute, my dog-sitter was unable to watch my pup. Although Primo Dog was booked solid, they were willing to find a way to help me so that I could still go on my trip. I don't know very many people in this area, so their kindness and generosity went a long way. My dog is always so tired after a stay at Primo Dog and I LOVE that! He is always on the move and not stuck in a crate 24/7. He loves the pool and seems to do well with the other dogs and the Primo Dog staff. My husband and I went to Destin, Florida on vacation and I had researched for several weeks to find a good dog daycare in the area. I thought I had picked out a nice one. When we took Max (a Choc. Lab) in to the daycare, he hated it and acted mean, and the people were not very friendly, so we chose not to leave him there. In talking to a lady at another daycare she recommended Primo Dog Bed & Biscuits, so we checked it out. The ladies were very friendly and inviting, loved on Max when we first arrived and were very helpful. We took Max to the daycare for three days that week and every time we arrived, they called him by name and gave him lots of attention. I know he loved it there because he would get excited each morning when we pulled in the parking lot and try to jump out as soon as the door opened! We love this place and highly recommend it to everybody! They have a dog pool (which Max loved!) and video cameras so we could check on him during the day. Used Primo for the first time to board our yr. old Maltese mix dog while we went away for spring break. What a nightmare!! We get a call around 8 PM the first night of boarding that they lost our dog. I could not believe what I was hearing. My first response was what do you mean you lost our dog?? They tell me our 8 lb. small dog dug under their fence and escaped in a matter of minutes. Which was not the truth, later we find out that their fence was not properly secured and our dog pushed out from under their fence while on a potty break. If their fence had been properly secured our dog could never have gotten out. Only thanks to the fact that our dog is chipped and the honesty of a good Samaritan who found our dog in the middle of the road on Palm Blvd. do we actually have our dog back with us. Thank goodness for the honesty of a stranger. Worst yet was they offered no apology to us or no compensation via a discount of any kind for the stress and anguish they caused us on our vacation. Further they offered no compensation to the stranger who returned our dog. I did reach out to the good samaritan myself as I felt compensation was in order. Without her, who knows where my dog would have ended up or if we even would have ever seen him again. I am not pleased at all to have to write this review for a facility I thought highly of prior to this experience, but I have to say I would never ever take my dog to this facility again for boarding or for daycare. read more
