I'm not sure if I should be relieved that I didn't order any food that day after reading some reviews. I've seen some people complain about sanitary measures and the temperature/quality of the food here. Hmm... next time I stop by, I'll probably just grab drinks and then head over to In-N-Out lol. On another note, the drinks were good! I forgot which IPA I had, but it was nice. My boyfriend went for his usual michelada, which he enjoyed. The Ikebana and acupuncture group event afterwards was so amazing and wonderful; you'd have to come to these events yourself and experience the magic! It's cute in the sense that the kiddos can dress up and get their makeup and hair done and they did a great job at that part. I also liked that they took photos and then airdropped them to your phone after. The way it's set up, the birthday kiddo rings a bell to ask for more food or whatnot for her friends. The whole set up honestly doesn't seem to foster the values I want in my kiddo, but for a one time thing, I suppose it can make the birthday kiddo special. I feel like they could do something more fun like ringing the bell each time someone said birthday or something to that effect. Given my experiences here as the host of a birthday, it's cute but wouldn't do a birthday or event here again just given the overall service. Also, you'll end up tipping the people helping out, and that will be extra (I think we paid almost an extra 100). From a parent perspective, it's a little awkward. You are told to put "drop offs encouraged" but a lot of PV moms end up hanging out or not knowing if they should stay or go. I've paid similar amounts to other types of birthdays and have definitely felt like the value was worth it. This place, not entirely sure, but understand it's an institution and place of tradition in the area. You have to bring your own food, but they don't serve cake. Make sure you bring socks.

They had four choices for starters, 5 entree and two dessert options to choose from. I chose shrimp rolls for my appetizer, top sirloin for my entrée and pineapple upside down cake with vanilla ice cream for my dessert, Pat had the pineapple fried rice, and the Keylime pie we shared the brussels sprouts along with the shrimp roll and chips. We were surprised first by the shrimp rolls, smaller version of lobster rolls, but these were served on those buttery Hawaiian bread rolls. My Top Sirloin was top rate, cooked medium, rare to perfection, served with a side of cilantro rice and broccolini. Boomer loved the broccolini (did we mention dog friendly?) Pat's entrée was the surprise, the pineapple shrimp rice served in half a pineapple! (After tasting it, It was an instant choice for my next visit!) If you do purchase their services, be sure to pay with credit in the case you need to cancel your event. They will reverse the charges for you if CalJump does not honor their refund policy.

Hello, this is the client being referenced in your response. I want to clarify a few points regarding my experience: I requested specific services from the business, and the owner confirmed she would invoice me for them. She forgot and never sent me the updated invoice, and when I arrived at the event, those services were not provided. This was very upsetting, as I had planned and relied on these services being in place. During the event, she made it a point to repeatedly remind me about her deposit and the contract, but conveniently forgot my texts and emails regarding tableware and settings, even after I sent screenshots. After the event, she spent time pointing out what was "done incorrectly" with table placements and other details. As a client -- not a venue coordinator, decorator, or event planner -- I found this approach disrespectful and unnecessary. It felt like an attempt to prove a point rather than address the real issues. She also commented, "sorry you're having a bad day," which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Additionally, she repeatedly called me by another person's name, which further contributed to feeling disregarded. Negative or snarky comments are not appropriate in this context; a simple thank you or parting comment would have been sufficient. The table runners provided for my event were clearly used and unwashed. When I brought this to Chantell's attention, her response was, "Well, I wasn't charging you for them." Does receiving them at no charge make it acceptable to provide dirty runners? Gross.. I do not believe it was my responsibility to track or remind the business about invoicing mistakes or how things should have been placed. We used the hall on August 9th, 2025 for an organization meet and greet. Chantel the owner was awesome, had good communication and was professional. On the day of the event, she was ready for us, even though the chairs were not laid out by the table, we did not care about it as we did it ourselves. During the ceremony, she remained in constant communication with me and made sure we were good, and she provided us with everything we needed. The hall was clean, neat and parking was not a problem. Overall, we had a nice and good time. I will definitely recommend the hall and owner to people. read more

We had an awesome time at my son's first birthday party! Chantell was super helpful and kept me in the loop about everything. Setting up my own photo booth was a fun touch! When we got there, everything was perfectly arranged--the tables, play area, and chairs were all ready to go. I shared some inspo photos with Chantell, and she really nailed the backdrop decorations! Lunch was served buffet-style and included rolls, salad, veggies, chicken breast, and pasta. Everyone at our table agreed that the pasta was a little on the salty side, but the rest of the meal was enjoyable. Coffee was served alongside the wedding cake, making for a nice ending to the meal. Overall, it's a lovely venue for weddings, anniversaries, and other occasions. There is a metered public parking lot conveniently located next door, with a maximum parking time of six hours.

We found three cases of beer, in the second room with the door closed. They were not there earlier when we went upstairs. Keep in mind there were three young staff working that night. Once we found the beer my fiancé confronted the main guy and he said they had to move the beer upstairs because they were moping downstairs in the kitchen. If you've seen this hall you know they could have moved the beer to the side hall way right out the kitchen and before the stairs. It didn't make sense why they would move it all the way upstairs. Also that it was not in the first room but second room with the door closed. The other issue I had here was I had bought a small cake for pictures and a sheet cake that was in the fridge. I had asked the staff if they were going to cut and pass out the cake and they confirmed they would. Come to find out at the end of the night cleaning up, the cake was still in the fridge. They only cut the small cake and placed the plates of cake on the counter. Who ever saw it grabbed cake and who ever didn't, didnt get any. More than half the party did not receive cake, not even my daughter. I had asked the guy "did everyone get cake" he confirmed yes, the sheet cake was extra. So I had an untouched sheet cake and most my guests didn't get any. I felt I just received excused from the staff as well as Katie for that night. Also keep in mind the person they had for photoboth comes off with attitude with her tone of voice. Last thing that went wrong was the staff giving my own professional DJ a hard time when he got to the hall to set up. We had fun but the staff isn't that great and unprofessional. This is my experience. Consider it, before booking.

Cost - Incredibly low cost for the location (just a block from the beach) Flexibility - You can basically setup however you like and hire whichever vendors you want as long as you leave the venue undamaged Cons: No A/C - Usually this wouldn't have mattered but unfortunately the date of the reception it was a high of 90F so my guests were boiling. Luckily I did not have any young/elderly guests so basically everyone just chilled in the patio or stopped by the beach. However I probably would not risk the heat again in the future since no one danced because it was too hot No candles - Big non-issue, most venues don't allow candles anyway Parking - Only street parking is available. There are two paid lots nearby so there's still plenty of parking but guests will need to walk a block or two

Helpful, caring, accommodating, and extremely interested in helping our event their be a success. Suzanne, however, was AWFUL! From the moment she became involved there were mixed messages, opposing information, and changes. At one point after being told they were getting some upgrades done, awesome we said so long as the space was still usable as agreed upon. Then 2 days before our wedding we received an email from Suzanne telling us if we wanted to utilize the lights outside (which the patio was a part of our rental to begin with) or place tables out there with chairs we'd have to pay an extra $500 which we refused and then the patio only had 2/3 lights strung for our evening(which we didn't mind not turning them on in order to not pay $500 but at least finish it so the space appears nice and complete.) Then at the end of our reception at exactly 10:00pm Suzanne comes in like a bat out of hell, flips on all the lights and starts demanding things - meanwhile my coordinator and Angela already had arrangements for clean up and us being out of the space that evening. Suzanne was rude, unprofessional, and totally ruined the end of our wedding night. Thank goodness for our amazing vendors, family, and friends that took over so that Suzanne would not continue to attempt to argue with me at the end of my reception as I was still saying good bye to our wedding guests. Suzanne should not be the face of any rentals! I could not believe how 1 person could make what had been such a pleasant experience with an establishment turn so horrible!

Working with him is truly a gift -- he's dependable, and pours so much love into making sure the community has a beautiful experience.
