It's a beautiful place. Just make sure you understand that the parking is not included. Yes there's street parking but you're by the beach and it's residential so it fills up quickly. You can pay for a valet service or possibly rent the parking lot that is a few doors down. Overall I would highly recommend. Swathi will work with you but be nice. She deals with a lot. I had a bridezilla moment but we ended up working things out and it was beautiful. If you have a catering business in mind that has a license, use them and pay the extra fee. You can hire your own security person. Just make sure you have a contract. You can also get your own insurance but I believe we ended up going with the suggested vendor they had listed. The bartender was fantastic; also on their list of vendors. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

Swathi was a great help in coordinating our wedding at the Catalina Room. She was very informative about what we could do and our options. She kindly let us use a time slot to perform our first dance which was mega helpful. The venue was beautiful and we didn't have to really do any decorating. The Kitchen and restrooms were clean and the AC was on when we got there. She let us know our options for layout and that we were allotted 5 parking spots. The venue itself was gorgeous and Swathi always kept the lines of communication open and let us come tour the venue multiple times with our wedding coordinator. We did however have a bad experience the day of. I will note a disclaimer.... any "damages" include food on the floor which we didn't come to know until after the wedding. This was no fault of Swathi but the on-site guy who was assigned to our event. The entire night he complained about little things and that peopled smelled like weed even though no one was smoking in the hall. I honestly didn't even know who this guy was until way later. The first time I met him was at the end of the night when he asked to pray for us which we allowed. Wedding ended at 11 ish and we stayed until 1230pm helping clean up. When we left, we got a call from our wedding coordinator who said the on-site guy wouldn't let him leave until he cleaned up some chocolate cake in the corner which wasn't his responsibility. He was harassing our wedding coordinator to the point where my husband had to go back to the venue to mediate and deal with it. Now at no point did he say we had to go through any kind of checklist or else we would have stayed. Additionally, from what he told my husband, it was one corner only where there was cake however upon talking to Swathi, it was MANY OTHER areas which was pretty irritating that there wasn't transparency. If there were, we would have cleaned it up ourselves instead of having to pay $350 to have "professionals" come in and do it. He gave us the impression that everything was ok so we left only to find out days later we had "damages to pay for ".I read through the contract and there was nothing that specifically referenced food stains so it was very subjective. The guy also tried blaming us for old gum but when he saw it was black he backed off. Swathi generously offered to deduct only a portion of the deposit which was fine, we had just wanted this ordeal to be over. Additionally, I'm not sure if they were part of the venue, but the 5 parking spots we had allotted for our event were marked off however when my husband and I pulled up the gentlemen told us there was no more parking where to we said we were the bride and groom..... THEY GAVE AWAY OUR PARKING SPOT.... if it hadn't been for the unoccupied handicap spot, we wouldn't have had a spot. Regardless, I would still recommend the Catalina Room as it is a great venue in a great location with the only downside being the parking. However I do recommend asking more questions that we did and being prepared or else you might end up in the situation we were in .

The color was absolutely warming. There's a stage also. They even including a photo area

First and foremost I want to give a big shout out to Swathi, Karina and Libby! All of them were such a pleasure to work with. We ended up booking this venue a week before our wedding due to some unexpected circumstances and Swathi and her team were exceptional! They worked with us throughout that week up until our wedding and everything was perfect! I could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding. They all went above and beyond to accommodate us super last minute. We are truly grateful for Swathi and her team for treating us so well, they made us feel so welcomed and treated us like family. They truly care about their clients. I will 100/10 recommend this place! If you are thinking about it just book it, you will not regret it!!

This venue was amazing. We had our wedding there this past October and honestly couldn't of asked for a more perfect venue & day. Swathi is such a great person to be dealing with during such a stressful time, she is very accommodating and helpful! We rented both upstairs and downstairs and all my guests were very impressed with the location and venue in general. Would 1000% recommend this venue.

A beautiful venue that made for an unforgettable wedding night for our daughter and her husband! The ballroom is magical with all of the bistro lights, the chavari chairs and the white drapery around the room. With colored up lights, it transforms into whatever mood you want to set. We had over 300 guests and it worked out great. The venue director was so great to work with and really went above and beyond to help us during the planning and even got us through the expected bumps that come up during wedding planning. Their staff were very reliable on the day of the event and helped keep our guests comfortable (on an 80°F March day) and made sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner. Parking is something you'll have to be aware of as it is a beach/tourist area so everything is limited but our guests were flexible and found places to park and made it into a relaxing walk to the reception enjoying the Redondo Beach sunset as they made their way over. I couldn't have pictured a more perfect place to have our daughter's dream wedding reception and Swathi and her team did an outstanding job making that dream a re

The only issue we ran into was with the guests that had special food requests (gluten free, allergies, etc.)---there was a slight mix-up and some of them didn't get their food until much much later on in the night. The food though, was great overall! People kept talking about the chicken and the salmon. I remember the guests commenting on how delicious the food was. Kathy: Kathy is so sweet, friendly, and professional--very extroverted! She made sure that all the details were taken care of and the night went rather smoothly. We were a bit scared because I was checking the weather and it read: sunny, sunny, sunny, sunny, BLUSTERY, sunny, sunny. That blustery day? Wedding day. Ugh, right? But fear not, Kathy made sure it all worked out, and we were still able to do the ceremony outside! DJ Lance: GREAT guy. Super sweet, friendly, and he played such great songs. We gave him a list of songs we'd like, and he rolled with the punches and went for it. He also led our guests in a jeopardy game about my husband and me, in order to dismiss the tables for the buffet food. He projected a powerpoint of us as a couple, growing up, in our respective towns. The guests absolutely LOVED him, as did we. We are quite happy that we chose RBH. After about 10 in-person interviews of other locations, we do not regret our decision.

I came with my sister and brother in law who are regulars here and were bringing me here for the first time. We came during the first USA World Cup day and it was insanely busy which was expected. Everyones food was a little cold and our drinks took at least 20 minutes to get to us. I also ordered the Caesar salad which had almost no dressing, my brother in laws steak was cold, and it seemed like we got the very worst batch of appetizers. The calamari was literally just crumbs of breading with maybe a few pieces of actual calamari and the spinach dip was delicious but came with only a few pieces of bread for dipping. The area has several boating clubs, a few seafood restaurants, hotels and event venues, and some small bars. It is definitely a quiet area that closes up early in the evenings. The hotel itself is really very lovely, though I wouldn't call it fancy. I will start by mentioning a few things that I didn't like. First, it is really too expensive. Likely it was more expensive than usual, as we booked late and they only had suites left. Also, I didn't like that the hotel restaurant and room service stop serving food at 10. Even after the wedding, when several people tried to go to the bar, around 10:30 on a Saturday, they stopped serving drinks. Further, we arrived to check into the hotel around 10PM on Friday night and were informed that all of the restaurants in the area were closing, so we had to drive to the next town over for dinner. I guess the area this hotel is located in is a bit too quiet for my taste. I also didn't like the $49 per night valet parking, with zero self-parking. Now, on a positive note, I enjoyed the welcome drinks, which were two mini strawberry daqueries... they were actually not too sweet and quite stiff. The staff was super friendly. They were always available and tried to be helpful. Whenever we went to the lobby they would give us bottled water. In the restaurant bar, they gave us free coffee and Diet Coke to take to our room. Our room wasn't overly impressive for a suite, but it was still very pretty. I loved having a view right on the harbor walkway. It was nice to walk out of the hotel and be right on the harbor. The balcony was a lovely place to sit with coffee. They also have an outdoor bathtub right on the patio. I love when beach hotels have outdoor tubs and showers. The room was comfortable with plenty of outlets and digital color-changing lighting. It was very clean and modern. All in all, I think the hotel was more expensive than we would choose had it not been for a wedding. However, I really did enjoy my stay. It was a friendly hotel with nice views and a bit of a resort vibe.

Then 2 days before our wedding we received an email from Suzanne telling us if we wanted to utilize the lights outside (which the patio was a part of our rental to begin with) or place tables out there with chairs we'd have to pay an extra $500 which we refused and then the patio only had 2/3 lights strung for our evening(which we didn't mind not turning them on in order to not pay $500 but at least finish it so the space appears nice and complete.) Then at the end of our reception at exactly 10:00pm Suzanne comes in like a bat out of hell, flips on all the lights and starts demanding things - meanwhile my coordinator and Angela already had arrangements for clean up and us being out of the space that evening. Suzanne was rude, unprofessional, and totally ruined the end of our wedding night.
