The only reason for the four stars is because it was very cold. The air temp was about 50 degrees, and the water was cold. That is not within control of the company, obviously, but I wonder if maybe they could have some different things in place for those cold weather trips...hot cocoa/coffee back at the starting location...maybe only offer short trips? They know better than we do, so we signed up for this three hour trip; but after being soaked for an hour, we were ready for it to be over and we still had two more hours to go. But Lily made the trip very nice and was chatting us up which made the time go faster. I'm positive that if we had waited until later in the season when things are warmer, this would have been a five star trip!

About 10 minutes from where we got out of the boat it started to rain, but what happened before that was magical! The air was still and then alternating gusts of super hot and super cool air started blowing at us! Little tufts of cottonwood pollen were suspended in the air and the birds started to go wild! Probably at least 10 different types of birds started swooping over our boat looking for cover! It really was a magical experience!!

We didnt have them rinsed off or packed into the tarps yet they helped us unload all of the rental things, life jackets and pumps too, from our car. One had to cancel us. Paintbrush Adventures called us back about 24 hours after we called and left a message. No problem there. We set up a ride for the 2 of us. We found the place with no problem. We were greeted by a lady and 3 teen aged girls who all went out on the ride with us. There were a few dozen horses in the corral that all looked good. Horses were quiet and calm. The ride was along the river and parallel to the road. The area was in a wooded lot. 30 acres MOL. Lots of dead trees. The river was a nice touch. We were disappointed when it was just trails in a dead wooded lot. Nothing terribly scenic. No hills, no mountain scenes. Not exactly the Montana experience we were expecting.
