Took our Girl Scout Troop to celebrate a successful first year! The girls had a blast! It was easy to park and get it with us arriving right when they opened. We did go the day after there was a malfunction with one of the larger rides. That part of the park was closed. But it didn't stop us from enjoying the rest of it. Maybe this was why the lines for the rides weren't that bad. We were able to get right on most all of them and the girls were even able to do some rides multiple times. Lunchtime was in their little restaurant where we had pizza and I bought additional mozzarella sticks, which are actually very delicious. Funny enough, the highlight of the whole park was our souvenir cup, which you could go around refilling for the whole 2026 season. This included the Slurpees that are self-serve at two spots in the park. On a hot day, these Slurpees were really really good and giving us life. Most of the parents got them, but we use them again this season? Probably not, but it kinda added to the fun, and we all had a really great time. read more

We went on Father's Day as a daddy daughter outing and I must say the most disappointing part of the whole day was the check-in process. I calmly explained to the girls working the window that if Adventureland advertises "free fathers for Father's Day", they probably ought not to exclude those of season ticket holders. The optic is that " we don't value the season ticket holders". This isn't the first time this year either. A recent outing for our daughter's grammar school would not admit season ticket holders to the event. I've been around long enough to remember when adults didn't automatically have to pay to enter the park. Seems that after Covid, Adventureland has taken a new philosophy to soak every dime they can from the public including at the expense of season ticket holders. Please change this. read more

It has been years since I've been to Adventureland, i'm talking longer than a decade but we took our kids along with a couple of friends and their kids to enjoy an afternoon at the park. To save money, we actually used library passes, which made it a lot cheaper than buying the tickets directly at the park. It was really cool and so fun for the kids! There are definitely lots of rides, whether you're seeking thrills and a little bit of danger, per se, or if you just want to do the very easy family rides. We had a great time and made sure to do almost everything, even though we were only there for four hours. It was a hot day, so the kids did a lot of repeat rides, and we are definitely already thinking of coming back. We bought the souvenir cups, which I believe were $22 per cup, but you get unlimited refills for the entire season. The kids actually refilled them three times while we were there! The one single thing I did not like was the water log flume ride because the water looked dirty. I'm not sure if it was just the color of the ride itself, but I don't know, maybe they should change the color or replace the water. We love this place! The kids love the rides, it's local so there's zero "big trip" planning involved, and it's just an easy, fun night out. We got there just in time to catch a bit of one of the circus shows, the kids thought it was so cool. Then we hit the rides! My son is fearless (fast, high, all of it) and let's just say heights are a bit of a struggle for me but I push through, don't wanna put my fears on them! We pretty much hit every ride in the park. Mid-park, we grabbed a dirty soda, highly recommend the apple puree with creamer in a root beer, it tastes like a caramel apple soda! Also fueled up with chicken tenders, fries, and water. We ended the night catching their NEW drone show (we missed the last one due to so much going on, so glad we caught this one!), such a fun show, the kids are obsessed with anything lights and drones flying around. They have one more next month, so stay tuned! Lines weren't bad, parking was easy, kids were wiped out and in bed quickly. 10/10, we'll definitely be back. Such a family friendly spot! Adventureland = a perfect summer day with my little one We had the best time at Adventureland Long Island. It felt like a mini getaway full of laughs, snacks, and nonstop fun. The park has that nostalgic charm with bright colors, classic rides, and just the right amount of thrill. What I loved most was how easy everything felt, we just loaded up on Adventure Bucks and used them all over the park for food, games, and treats. We took breaks in the arcade, cooled off on a water ride, and ended the day with a churro and tons of happy photos. Adventureland is super clean, family-friendly, and just the right size to explore in one day without feeling rushed. It was one of those simple, joyful days I'll remember for a long time! This place could be better then what it is. It's not like long island has 30 of these places. Anyway they basically had nothing for special needs kids, like hey good luck. I heard they've maybe changed since then? But then on certain days not accommodating? It's been confusing. I swear this is why we can't have nice things! My friend that was visiting from out of state wanted to check out Adventureland with her family. I got discounted tickets for all of us and we went on a Saturday afternoon toward the end of September. Our group consisted of 5 adults and 2 toddlers. I thought at first the parking (free) was just the area to the side of the park but the lot in the back is much bigger and the entrance is in the back too, not at the side (it's actually an exit) so I'd recommend parking in the back lot although parking at the side isn't that far of a walk to the entrance. We didn't have an issue finding parking although it did seem pretty busy when we arrived. Prior to this visit, it had been 20-25 years since my last visit and it seemed smaller to me now (probably because I'm an adult) but still a good size. They utilize their space very well with the rides and the rides don't feel like they're on top of each other. If you were to walk from one end of the park to the other, it's very doable in a short amount of time. In addition to the rides, there were carnival type games, food/drink areas, a gift shop and an indoor arcade area. There was also a birthday party going on while we were there. I'm not sure of birthday party pricing but I would imagine it not being cheap as admission is pricey. If you wanted to rent a locker, they're $10/day - located by the bathrooms in the arcade area. They have a souvenir cup that I think you can use for the whole season but I'm assuming you have to pay for the refills. They also have a popcorn bucket that you pay for refills as well. Food and beverages were VERY expensive inside the park so we just ate at Five Guys before entering. You can come and go as long as you keep your bracelet on for the day so there's also the option of leaving to eat and then returning. Most of the staff appeared to be high school age and majority looked like they didn't want to be there. As for the park itself, there was plenty of rides for younger kids but our toddlers stuck to a select handful and were very happy. The train ride that goes around the perimeter of the park was really cute. While waiting, there's a sign that says it takes about 10 minutes - probably the longest line wait we had for that day. I'd suggest taking it when you first arrive so you can kind of see where and what rides are at Adventureland. If you get soaked on any water rides (ie, the log flume), there is a full body dryer that you can stand in by the ride to dry off but it's expensive ($6 for 3 minutes) so I'd recommend just going on a hot day to dry off quick or bring a change of clothing. There was a lot of seating so that's good for the parents. I would say the park in general has rides geared more for younger children up to early teens. When we went, they had the back area sectioned off because they were doing construction and the only ride in the back that was operating was the antique cars. There were height requirements for the rides and some of them, if the child was on the shorter side, could ride with an adult. I was worried there would be no shade but there were random spots throughout the park that's shaded. I'm a big souvenir person and thought the gift shop was just okay. Nothing very unique or special and the Adventureland branded stuff was boring. I did get a little personalized zipper pull for my child. Just make sure you check they charge the right amount. The sign for the zipper pull said $4.99 but there was no barcode to scan on the actual item so the girl manning the cashier somehow charged me $8+tax. I had to correct her and she didn't even apologize. It was two high school aged looking girls on their phones working the cashier. I think it's ridiculous that anyone walking in through the gate has to pay admission as most parents were just there to supervise and to not actually ride. This also prevents grandparents from being there to hang out with their grandchildren. Without my discounted tickets, I would not pay full price as it's very expensive (ages 2-24: $49.50, ages 25+: $39.50). I miss how it used to be that you just purchase a P.O.P. bracelet/wristband for the ride go-ers. There wasn't much of a line waiting to purchase the wristbands. Overall, the park was clean, there wasn't much wait for any rides (not more than 5 minutes and that was maybe for 3 rides) and we were there 4.5 hours (1:30pm-6pm). Although pricey, it is a nice amusement park that's close to home. FYI, if you have a discounted ticket, you still have to wait in line to get a wristband. We didn't know at first and went through to the metal detectors, got checked and into the park before a staff member saw me holding my discounted tickets and told us we had to get the wristbands. read more

Love this spot. Been coming here since i was a kid. I was there the day the poor woman flew off the ride and landed in the parking lot on a car. Crazy. As many others have already stated, their whole pricing program is pretty brutal. I grew up going here as a kid in the 90s and was so excited to bring my 3 year old daughter. The price for her wasn't cheap but what was worse was the price for myself when I was really just there to chaperone. But hey, I was happy to shell out the money for a nostalgic experience. But where they really crossed the line was with my pregnant wife. She's 6 months pregnant and medically cannot go on any ride. They insisted on charging her, essentially just to breathe their air. Really poor form and not at all in the spirit of family or fair pricing practice. Fun park but just be aware the pricing is a bit out of control and they don't seem to really care about using discretion in instances where somebody in the group is physically limited and cannot go on any rides. read more

I've been visiting Adventureland since way back in the late-80s. It's the same park that inspired the Jessie Eisenberg/Kristen Stewart film of the same name. It's changed remarkably little since then, which is mostly a good thing. Some of the old rides like the Musik Express and Antique Cars are even still there. Since the last time I visited (way back in 2000), they've added a few extra rides and shops and greatly expanded the arcade. I'm not sure why people are complaining about the general admission. Why on Earth would you even visit a theme park if you have no intention of riding the rides? That's not to say Adventureland is without its shortcomings. The dining options make movie theater food look positively affordable. Unless you enjoy paying $12.99 for fried Oreos, eat lunch BEFORE you arrive at the park. I cannot stress this enough. Adventureland will never have the breadth of a Six Flags, it's too small and has too many kiddie rides, but at least it puts more emphasis on fun rather than making you lose your lunch. I feel like modern theme parks focus too much on rollercoasters. It really is a great place to bring the whole family. read more

I loved the rides,games and very good snacks. But I do have some very serious complaints that need to be heard, one of the bolts on the swings was loose! That is a big danger especially to little ones! The place is the perfect size for a young family. There was plenty to do to keep my 6 and 8 year old happy and busy. My favorite is that it's not overwhelming like great adventure. And the location is much closer than Splish splash or great adventure. This is our go-to summer day of fun. read more

Adventureland is a great local amusement park. The season passes are well worth the money, even more so since the switched to a "for admission" park system. I really appreciate that the parent season pass is half the cost of the regular since I don't go on rides and just supervise my kids. I also suggest getting the refillable cup the first time you go. It's a good value, especially if you plan on going multiple times as it allows for free refill of ANY drink for the whole season! Also recommend purchasing the popcorn bucket. The bucket comes with a cover and keeps the popcorn fresh for days. The buckets costs just $1 more than a regular popcorn and allowed for $1 refills all season! Excellent value! Rides are decent and they just added a new vertical coaster. I don't suggest going on super crowded days. We went during a school vacation in April and the cutting of lines by teenagers was out of control. read more

This place has really come along way from when I was a kid! The pay one price entrance fee is a little steep considering the average ride age demographic, but still much less sketchy than a county fair. Upside for parents, they sell beer! But plan on spending $14 per 16oz can. The crowd seems pretty reasonable (@3:00 on a Sunday) so this may be a pro tip if you don't want to wait on crazy lines. Adventureland is tons of fun, particularly for school age children and maybe preschoolers as well. We've been there twice in during the summer so far on a weekend and never had to wait in line to get tickets and be admitted. We go early-ish though, like right before noon. I would say 3 hours is more than enough but I have a 2 year old and a 5 year old so they're still short and cannot go on a majority of the rides. Lines for the rides have been anywhere from none (usually for the very kiddie rides) to minimal wait times of around 10 minutes. The size of the park is just right - not too big where you get tired from walking back and forth, but certainly not small. Many nostalgic rides. There's even a small indoor arcade area, which honestly is kind of meh. Lots of outdoor stations with carnival games to win stuffed animals, etc. Adventureland sells food and drinks but I cannot comment on that as we haven't tried the food yet. The have a souvenir cup which you can purchase and have unlimited refills for the entire season - pricey but may be worth it if you come here enough. Staff are typically younger people, probably college kids. Friendly. Overall my kids love Adventureland which means I love it too. Everyone must get an admission ticket even if you do not plan to ride. I actually don't mind that as it keeps the park a little less crowded. But yes, it's not cheap for sure. Especially since toddlers can barely go on any rides. It's free for children less than age 2 so that's good. Can't wait to come back with the kids soon. I took my neighbor's daughter with me and my daughter today. My daughter and I have the reusable cup which she often fills with the slushee. We'll my daughters friend wanted a slushee. BUT to get one you have to buy the cup. They won't put the slushee in another cup. Ridiculous! So I would have to buy her a basically $20 cup. I took my son to Adventureland because he had been locked up in the house for a while due to the pandemic and decided to take him. We purchased our tickets online and the line was so long just to get in it took almost an hour to get to the front which was pretty ridiculous. Secondly I spent $16 on expensive theme park food to find a bunch of hair in my fries and on the container that the hotdog was put i and the fries were put in... so disgusting!!! I feel like throwing up after eating my burger I may have had hair in it. None of the staff in the kitchen were wearing any hairnets or anything of that sort which is absolutely disgusting. I hadn't been to Adventureland in over 10 years, but I'm glad I went back. My twins wanted to do an Amusement Park for their 8th Birthday, and Adventureland was the perfect place. The rides are very accommodating to older kids who aren't that young anymore, but who definitely aren't ready for say a Great Adventure type setting. I found that the rides were perfect for them. They had such a great time, and honestly, so did I. The admission ticket does seem a bit steep, but after witnessing how the staff has up-kept the park, it was worth it. Everything was clean, the rides, the waiting areas, but especially the dining area. I was so impressed how all the seats were so clean that the tables were shining. Even the self serve area where you get ketchup and mustard, napkins and silverware was immaculate, which given a public park, is almost impossible to maintain. I even witnessed staff cleaning the glass to keep it handprint-free. The food although also a bit pricey, was also good and tasty. My girls had a blast and if you have kids between the ages of 6-10, they will have a really good time as well. read more

I grew up on Long Island so Adventureland is apart of my childhood memories unfortunately not for my 7 year old. I've visited every other year during events and just when we wanted to do a smaller theme park and this place has gone down hill it seems. There's no reason as to why they have not renovated this park. I'm 32, why do they still have rides from when I was 6 ? This park could use some major updating. For the price of admission, it's just not worth the trip to Farmingdale. The rides are unimpressive even for toddlers. This place gives me the feel of a cheesey Carnival and the prices match that. This is not ideal for large families. You break the bank and don't get much for your money. You'd be better off saving to splurge at Hershey Park or Sesame Place for the day or weekend. read more
