There was very little transparency when it came to billing, which quickly became a major concern. I started questioning the charges after noticing multiple "calls" with opposing counsel being billed, yet no records could ever be provided when I requested an itemized breakdown. The moment I started asking reasonable questions about billing and strategy, the attitude completely changed. What upset me most was the lack of advocacy. I specifically told her I did not feel protected by the settlement terms she negotiated and her exact response to me was: "I am not your mouthpiece." Shortly after expressing concerns and questioning billing practices, I was told to find another lawyer. On top of that, her assistant Maura repeatedly made errors throughout the process which created even more stress and confusion. I also find it concerning that negative reviews appear to disappear. People deserve transparent and honest feedback before retaining legal counsel for something this serious. Thankfully, I ended up finding an amazing family lawyer and the experience was night and day compared to this one. Unfortunately, having to switch counsel midway through my matter ended up doubling my legal fees. The way this lawyer practices business is honestly very concerning and, in my opinion, scary.
