Taxis aren't very common in Barcelona and while we did use the subway system a lot, Barcelona Bus Turístic was our main source for traveling around, which was our main reason for using this company, especially because our hotel was one of the stops along the way, which was fantastic. Barcelona Bus Turístic was typically on time to each stop. The drivers were safe and the staff were very kind. There was an instance where we were in line for a very long time and they cancelled a line which made things worrisome on how to get back to the hotel but it all worked out (our hotel was on a very steep mile+ incline). We loved the option to be able to listen to automated tour guide and learn about the city during the drive. The sound quality was decent and we were able to hear clearly. Make sure you wear sunscreen if sitting on the top deck and enjoy the scenery!

When we politely asked him to lower his voice, he was dismissive and instead played personal music from his phone. This is the main train station in the city, and as such it's quite large with several different areas and connections. I was a little confused once we arrived as I needed to find the Metro, but after orienting myself it was no issue. Besides that, Barcelona Sants Estació is really no frills. It got me where I needed to go, and at the end of the day that's all that matters.

So paths are a bit constricted and not clearly marked. I recently took the inOui from Paris to BCN, a 7 hour trip that was nicer than the bustle of air travel. Arriving at 10 pm BCN Sants was quite busy, but was able to pop up easily and get out of the station. I would have liked to have grabbed a sandwich to take to the hotel, but construction made it impossible to find a vendor. The outside construction and some rain made areas a muddy and rough mess. Bummer, it has been a great station in the past. Just be aware of pick pockets here.

Convenient location, professional staff, large enough lockers to fit 2 checked luggage bags for less than €14 per day, and great hours closing at 930pm. They have changing rooms and a scale you can pay to use to weigh your bag, but they do not have public restrooms. There are several attendants present that assist you in choosing the correct size locker, who also speak good English. You put in your own personal 4 digit code, lock it, then pay. Once you come back you get your luggage and can go on your way. I didn't have a reservation and was able to walk in and complete the process in less than 10 minutes. Super quick and easy. Highly recommend!

The no rules boat…read more The wife and I took a 90-minute boat tour with Las Golondrinas. The tour gave us a view of the Barcelona harbor, city skyline along the coast, and the shipping port. There was no audio accompaniment, so we had to guess/research what different landmarks were. No directions or safety announcements were given, either. They trust you to have enough sense to not fall overboard. You have a choice between being on the upper deck (better view) or lower deck (protected from the elements). Want to stand at the front or back of the boat? Not a problem. Want to eat or drink? Cheers. On the lower deck you can purchase snacks and drinks (including alcohol), but the staff probably doesn't care if you bring your own. They are so chill. The cost for the 90-minute tour was €15.20 for adults and less for seniors, students and children. There are better ways to spend your money in Barcelona, but we did this tour because it was included in our Barcelona Pass. Can't say it was the most memorable, but it certainly was relaxing!

Both itineraries were excellent, and we could choose modifications to our itinerary and how long to stay in various spots. We had 4 people, and one had limited walking ability. They accommodated this nicely and the cars were very comfortable. I highly recommend this company and will use them again.

Urquinaona is a useful station on the Barcelona Metro, it is on the Red (L1) and Yellow Lines (L4)…read morewhich is handy for changing trains. The station is very central with many of the city's attractions nearby, including Plaça de Catalunya (Barcelona's main square featuring the Apple Store). Due to being so central within the city and being across multiple lines, it is one of the busiest stations on the network. It is fairly easy to find your way around the station which I appreciate, it can be a bit of a walk between both lines, but I find that to be common for metro stations. You can see the colour of the lines dominant each platform - so you know which colour lines platform you're on which I think is handy and also makes the station look better. As with any station on the Barcelona Metro, the ticket machines do not accept contactless payments and you can't tap in/out which I find to be such an outdated system, and it did take a while to get my head around the departure boards. 3* - Certainly not the prettiest station but it gets the job done and is handy for location and access across multiple lines.
