Lounges closed, no customer service, they redirect business class passengers to the call center because the local staff at check-in and gate can not even answer basic questions. Have done a bit of research, and it seems like I am not alone. Avoid flying with Etihad!

Flying frequently gets you a gold car and a VIP lounge treatment both in Casablanca and in Paris. Taking that route is the long way to go, especially that flights in Africa leave between 2 and 5 in the morning. But all in all the price is reasonable so you put up with any inconvenience. The food will be improved one day, I hope hope.....But all in all the flights are ok, I don't look for inflight entertainment, I look for some hours of sleep. Never lost luggage, although in two occasions our suitcases arrived a couple of days later. Pilots are great. Service could be handled with more smiles, but then again flying on those schedules it must be hard...

Air France: A Decent Flight to Paris, But I Missed Delta!…read more I recently flew to Paris on a flight booked through Delta but operated by Air France. While I knew it was a partner flight, I was a little annoyed that my Delta status didn't fully carry over, which meant my chances of a complimentary upgrade were basically slim to none. As someone who flies Delta pretty regularly, I definitely missed those perks! The plane itself was nice and HUGE -- I don't think I realized just how large it would be until I boarded. The downside? The economy seats were tiny and not particularly comfortable, especially for a long-haul flight. The meals were decent, but in my opinion, they didn't compare to what I've had on Delta. I requested a gluten-free meal, but I guess one wasn't available. Thankfully, the chicken and rice dish they served was gluten-free, so I was still able to eat. I just left the couscous and the hard, cold dinner roll right on the tray. One area where Air France definitely delivered was the in-flight entertainment! There were tons of movie options, TV shows, games, and plenty to keep you occupied throughout the flight. The flight attendants were pleasant and professional, although I didn't interact with them much because I slept for most of the flight. Overall, it was a perfectly fine experience and got me to Paris safely and comfortably enough. But between the cramped economy seats, missing gluten-free meal, and limited benefits from my Delta status, I'd probably choose a Delta-operated flight next time if given the option.

Flew out of Chicago - several hours in plane while they de-iced and de-iced…read moreafter we had a hour or so delay while waiting for the plane to get a gate due to inclement weather. I am not a selective seat flyer - I choose my flight based on lowest price and times, and client pays my invoice. Win/win. This was my first time flying Air France. It was a long haul flight to my destination (23+ hours including one short layover) My seat was all the way at the back of the plane - no seats behind me. Washroom and flight attendants right behind me. Spacious roomy seat. My seat mate was a larger sized man. I am small boned. I wasn't the least bit cramped. I had the aisle seat. He was able recline his seat considerably back as there was good open space behind our seats. Food was abundant and served often. Staff was the friendliest/kindest staff I have seen in a very long time. Screens for movies had an abundance of great films and plenty subtitles - I may subscribe to French movies if I ever have time as there were plenty I would have loved to watch. :) The puddle jumper after my layover was also Air France - it was very clean and they attentively offered lovely sandwiches - chicken was one and cucumber/cream cheese ( my choice) the other. I have recommended Air France to multiple people since my flight and will definitely use them again.

The planes were clean and comfortable seats, as much as you can in Economy, but still, blankets offered and all. No issues at the gates either with the staff. I would fly with them again anytime!

Just returned home from my first flight on Aeroflot…read more I will admit, I was nervous but decided to fly it from Paris to LAX when I saw that they were 1/3rd the price of all the other "name" airlines. Many reviews I read about the airline were true - not great food, same meal twice, not an efficient back-up team. I did experience all of the above. I also experienced a safe flight home on a very modern Airbus 330, extended version complete with leather seats and all the movies you would care to watch. The airline has been around for years. By American standards, they have bad "bedside manners". I was bumped from my bulk-head seat with lots of legroom to a "too tiny" for my 6'3" frame. I argued to no avail. And I was separated from my wife. Also, at the airport they insisted that I was only allowed ONE checked-bag. I argued with three people, pointing out their own website says that for the Moscow to Los Angeles flight, the exception was two bags. Finally, someone at headquarters [apparently] gave in and allowed us each our two bags. Yes, I would fly the this airline again
