EZE is a great airport that checks off all the boxes for stress-free international travel. The security area and passport control for international flights is easy to navigate and it goes pretty fast because it's designed for a high volume of travelers. We've flown LATAM on both visits to BA and I just want to work in a special recognition for that airline because they rock! The desk agents are super nice and the airline itself has a great business class product with awesome food! Okay, back to the rest of the airport- I have to also give kudos to the assortment of food options here. There are plenty of quick grab and go options as well as sit-down fare. Once you clear passport control, you emerge into a huge duty-free shop, so if you need to kill some time, they have plenty to things to look at and potentially purchase. You can also find lounge options as well. There's a Star Alliance Lounge as well as an American Express Centurion Lounge, and they're right across the hall from each other. Restroom facilities are also plentiful throughout the airport and well maintained. Overall EZE is a nice airport- it's about as stress-free as international travel can get, and it's clean with plenty of shops and food options to pass the time. read more

In the course of an antarctic expedition cruise we flew in our out of EZE three times. It is a decent airport with plenty of restaurants and it generally flows well. My biggest problem with this airport was the temperature. It was hot and humid inside in the summer. A sweat a lot walking around and waiting in line. Also, be aware -- maybe not the airport's fault -- but Argentine law prohibits taking any liquids on a place even if purchased after security. I wish the airport could be more clear about his before they sell us lots of beverages that will be confiscated before boarding the plane. read more

As far as South American airports go, the international airport in Buenos Aires is top notch. It is a modern and very clean airport. The check in and security process was also smooth and quick. And for people who have some time to kill, there is also a decent amount of shopping and restaurants. I made use of the free WifI which was at a decent speed and saw plenty of charging stations everywhere too. read more

Surprisingly small airport for a big city. We decided to head over earlier than normal (3 hours vs 2 hours before flight) just in case things got crazy. Fortunately for us, there was barely anyone there. We got through checkin in under 10 mins. Their security was interesting. The area was practically empty. There was no line. What they had instead were automated machines. Would've been great if they worked, but it sure didn't for the both of us. So after trying to scan our passports multiple times, we ended up having to go to the front desk and be assisted by a live person who seemed annoyed. He waved us off after glancing at our passport. Just like Uruguay, they did NOT stam our passport. I'm still feeling some type of way about this. Once on the other side, we had over 2 hours to waste before taking off for our first flight. We ended up getting the souvenirs we forgot to get in the city. Additionally l, I had the worst big mac I've ever had in my life. read more

Modern clean, beautiful airport. Everything here moved very easily and professionally. It was a pleasure to fly out of this international airport. Check in, security & customs were quick & well organized. There were duty free shops all over with liquor, fragrances, sunglasses, chocolate, pens .... Prices were high but we purchased Malbec & fermet. There were American fast food options the usual Starbucks, McDonald's, Burger King.... We went to Narda Diario de Vieja for empanadas, they were nothing special. What made the wait entertaining was the wanted photos & descriptions of the crimes while we waited. read more

Modern airport. Security is fast - remove everything out of pockets, shoes, belts, watches, back packs, laptops and IPADs in the trays, arms up for the body scan machine... airlines screen all carry-on and a lucky select few get a full screening with a chemical wipe test of the luggage. Cab fee is around 30,000 APesos to and from downtown Buenos Aires. Needs a nice Argentinian parilla / grill as an eatery. Has an Outback Steakhouse (yuck), McDonalds, and a bakery in the International section. We flew in and out twice, once International on United and domestically on Fly Bondi, the latter was a tarmac walk on and off. read more

This airport is decently clean, spacious, & organized. My qualms: - Rude TSA. That's a redundant statement, I know, but these agents were particularly rude. They were rude about our shoes being on, they were rude when we asked if our film camera could be spared the x-ray treatment, they were rude about us speaking limited Spanish, they were rude about our shoes being off, they were just rude. - Many water refill stations out of order or in need of cleaning. - Extra bag check at the gate. They claimed that I couldn't bring any liquids on the plane, even though we were past the major TSA checkpoint, so any liquids I had were clearly purchased in the terminal. I had filled up my water bottle with ice to prepare for my 12 hour overnight flight, & they took my water bottle & dumped my ice out. Charming. read more

Decent airport. Limited seating while waiting to check in for a late night flight. No charging stations. Walked around while waiting and found a few sculptures. One to honor #10. Lionel Messi. World Cup champion 2022, captain of the Argentina National Team and arguably one of the best players of all times. Surprised to see a sculpture to honor Raoul Wallenberg. Wallenberg was a Swedish diplomat stationed in Budapest during WWII. He issued thousands of protective passports and sheltered Jewish on diplomatic Swedish property in Budapest to save thousands of lives. The checkin process begins precisely three hours prior to departure. Once we had our boarding passes, it was easy to pass through security and find the gate where there was plenty of seating and ample charging stations. read more

Clean, big, organized. Ample bathrooms. I been lucky to see this airport get bigger and better through the decades. I used to remember watching my aunt and walking her to the door before she would walk to the plane, she used to seat by the window and wear a colorful hat so I could be able to see her and wave good bye to her as she went back to California when I was a child. Sometimes my mom and I would go outside and stand by the fence as the plane took off (circa early 1980s). The personal is very helpful and cordial. My favorite airport in Latin America. read more

Very slow and inefficient Immigration process. Came here on a flight from Chile a few days ago, and I was one of the first to deplane. I got to the immigration counters, which were separated by foreigners and Argentinians. The foreigner line was fairly short but there was only one person working. This meant the wait was very long. When me and and a few foreigners asked if any other persons were going to come man the other stations, the immigration folks quickly shut us up and told us just to wait. Kind of a bit rude... It took about 45 minutes for me to clear immigration, despite only two people ahead of me. After clearing Immigration, the one good thing was that the bags were already out. After that, it was time to go hail an Uber. However, finding Uber was difficult because the App made it seem like you needed to go to a garage. Running around outside (in 90F weather), I was pretty frantic. In actuality, I was told by my Uber driver that you wait right by the McDonalds outside (for the international terminal). If you use Uber make sure to bring different credit cards, as my Visa cards didn't work -- however AMEX did. Overall a pretty poor airport experience. Expect long waits at immigration, and possible problems using your foreign credit card when using Uber. Bring multiple cards. read more

The Buenos Aires International Airport is an average size airport, so I would highly recommend that you arrive within the recommend time (2hrs prior for domestic and 3hr prior for international flights). This airport is about 30 minutes from the Buenos Aires downtown, and approximately about 40 minutes to the cruise dock. The airport is very clean and well maintained to the highest standard. All the check-in counters for the multiple carriers are well identified and pretty easy to locate. The TSA process was easy and all of the TSA employees seemed to be very professional and attentive. The customer service and professionalism throughout the entire airport seemed to be about average. Lastly, the passport control when fairly quick and the lines are separated between the locals and other foreign travelers.  The baggage claim process was very easy to locate, but did take like 30 minutes for us to retrieve our checked baggage. They do have multiple media screens to inform their travelers where to locate their baggage. There is also FREE luggage carts available in the baggage claim area, for those travelers that have alot of suitcases. read more

**This review is only from experiencing EZE on arrival from an international flight. The only way to explain my experience at EZE, is that it was a fresh new level of travel hell has been unlocked. The good: + Once plane landed, the doors were promptly opened and off loading of passengers commenced without issue + The walk to customs was relatively short, and there was restrooms on the way, which I highly recommend you use. The Bad: -Immigration and Customs. If you are landing early morning (i.e. 3 am), mentally and physically prepare yourself for the customs line, especially the foreigner( non-Argentinian passport line). It took over 75 minutes to make it through the line. There were only 4 custom officers working the foreigner until around 4 am when other officers started their shift. Even when there was a lull of offices working the other passenger lines, they didn't really shift people to those officers. Tip: * Use the restroom per-immigration/customs and if you can, take some water with you for hydration because it can get hot in the customs hall *For less stress, I'd recommend pre-booking transportation read more

When I think of Argentina, I think of delicious steaks, empanadas and chimichurri for food options. Now I know airport food isn't the greatest but, my options were basically Outback, McDonald's, Starbucks and Le Pain Quotidien... I also learned that airport lounges are reserved just for international flights so avoid long layovers here when flying domestically unless they are long enough to go into the city for a decent meal and some sightseeing or if you don't mind skipping a meal. Not much shopping options and once you get past security check, there's not much options for food and an older looking area with creaky seats. The upstairs area at night has a lot of homeless people sleeping against the walls so that reminded me a lot of home. On a positive note, security gets you through quickly and the airport staff are friendly. Most people speak English (or understand broken Spanglish) and airport staff are helpful. read more

It's the largest international airport in Argentina and surprisingly is more efficient than expected. They have many steps for international flights but did get people through fairly quickly. There's plenty of shopping and restaurants inside the terminals. read more

I flew out of EZE on the domestic side of the airport. We stood in line outside to have our passports checked before entering the airport. Checkin was a breeze; it was super quick to get checked in (less than 5 min) after waiting in the line. Probably the fastest I've ever checked into a flight. Security was also extremely quick and efficient. From checking passports outside to getting through security and sitting down at our gate, it took maybe 15 minutes tops. The airport itself is clean and (if you read my other airport reviews), it doesn't stink. I wish all domestic airports were this quick and easy to fly out of! read more

Awww yaaa! EZ muthaf'in E! I roll like EZ-E. This airport is a ways outside of town. There doesn't seem to exist any public transit to get to it. Rumor has it, the Argentine government spent millions of dollars adding an additional terminal to this airport, which was slated to be completed in early 2020, but when the Pandemic hit, all these airlines temporarily shut down, and other airlines pulled out of Buenos Aires altogether, and now the terminal isn't even needed, even before they got to open it up. When we arrived, EZE was a mess- there was lines that snaked back and forth, and back and forth, people awaiting check-in. There were minimal stores with fair prices in the terminal. The duty free options weren't great. They had a few places selling alfajors, and a Havana shop outside of customs, but they could be doing so much better. It's weird that the airlines don't seem to trust the Argentine security, and they conduct their own mandatory bag searches at the gate. Weird. My favorite part is all the artwork they have in the terminal- accodion sculpture is cool, as is the Lego Argentine flag. read more

For an international airport, pretty easy in and out as both arrival and departure are together. Part of Terminal C is getting a face lift, the upstairs waiting area is very nice and comfy. The downstairs will be awesome in no time, after its remodel. Small signs here and there. Eventually, I found my way. The airport isn't overwhelmingly big because for my departure, the taxi dropped me off at Terminal A and I walked the 7 minutes to Terminal C. So-so options for food in Terminal C, can't speak for the other Terminals. Lots of souvenir shops for your last minute needs. The duty free store was also nicely stocked of different things. Clean restrooms. I'd be happy to fly in/out of this airport again, which just means I need to make another trip to Argentina! read more

Hard Rock cafe pre secruity on the second level.  They have a souvenir shop for last minute gifts. Not many outlets pre secruity,  more post secruity. Bunch of other shops on lower level across from check in including a pharmacy. At the top of the escalator is a little chapel.  Along the far wall across the escalator is an elevated platform where I saw a lot people spread out sleeping. Post secruity, lot of charging stations spread out at all the tables advertising free printing. It is great so people are not crowded around charging stations. Bathrooms are clean and spacious.  Post security,  facilities are much nicer. Free wifi. Security is pretty fast but immigration is a little slow. read more

I welcomed my 37th Yelp badge, the Argentina, right here. ARRIVAL: It was a short walk to the passport control area that was jam packed with us foreigners. Once the locals got through their side, they started to call us over to ease the line. Needless to say, the process was like molasses. By the time we got through the baggage carousel had stopped and our luggage was pulled onto the floor. DEPARTURE: The main terminal is reminiscent of a football stadium with its tall ceilings supported by white-painted metal joists. Before entering the building, a security guard posted at each entrance was asking everyone something in Spanish, in which our private tour guide escorting us agreed to and told us to just go along with it. The check-in for Latam Airlines was quite slow. Be sure to check your tickets especially if you're wanting to sit next to your party as you'll more than likely be split up just because. Simply ask to sit together and they'll make it happen. Head to the second level where you'll scan your boarding pass then pass through security and passport control before ending up in a duty free store. The waiting area for our flight to Lima was very dreary with horrible fluorescent lighting and hard metal chairs. Very uninviting and uncomfortable. Boarding was well organized and clearly marked. OVERALL: Busy facility yet easy to maneuver through. read more

The airport is located pretty far from downtown, so you will need a taxi or other transfer to get there. It is possible to take a bus, but it will take forever and you need a special card to use the bus. I used a taxi service right outside of customs, you can pay by credit card but they charge a large fee instead of using cash. Arrival wasn't that bad, immigration was maybe 10-15 minutes. But this depends on the time and if other flights arrive at the same time. Departure can be chaos since the check-in area can get crowded and doesn't seem to be big enough for the amount of flights. read more

Yelp Challenge 2016: 77/116. Let's review an international airport, just for fun! The BEST thing is the Argentinian YELP badge you will earn for checking in. Make sure to take advantage of their free WiFi first though... The airport is in construction transition. The new international Terminal A is small but quite nice. Shops and restaurants that are adequate, but you've been to much larger airports with more variety. Prior to security, the public areas have a Hard Rock - but it's only a retail store. There is also a McCafe and Embers, which is an American style coffee shop. There's a long, uncovered outdoor walk in between the two terminals... Terminal C is the old terminal. Delta and any Sky Team airline is in here. Long lines, so allow plenty of time. I found it to be a bit disorganized. Have your boarding pass printed out before you get here if possible, or else you'll be in a long line just to get your pass and then another long line to drop off your checked luggage. C Terminal has literally only one restaurant on the outside to the right. They have those funky kiosks that wrap your luggage in yards of yellow Saran Wrap. Once you get through the security checkpoint in Terminal C, there are more restaurants and shops and tiny (by U.S. standards) Duty-Free shops. If you are using your smartphone, you need an Argentinian adapter- which is unique and sort of like the adapter used in Hong Kong. Weird, right?My local Apple Store was baffled by this one. So unless you have this special adapter, you won't be able to charge your phone in the airport. Restrooms are clean, but lack in a shelf for your purse or carry-on and don't have seat covers. And remember kiddies, many Latin American countries don't want you to flush toilet paper- that's what that over-flowing little trash receptacle next to the toilet is for! Not the worst airport I've been to but definitely a work in progress by international standards...it ain't no Charles de Gaulle! read more

To get to Ushuaia, you have to take a cab or bus that will take you from EZE to AEP which takes over an hour. There are no flights from EZE to USH. To get from a different terminal, you'd have to go out the building and walk in the heat and humidity. The employees aren't all that helpful. They just send you over to a different person. After 20+ hours of flying and waiting at airports, you'd definitely lose your cool. It's quite dark and gloomy inside. read more

Their airport is inefficient and unfriendly to foreign travelers. No announcements for the constant lines that don't move for hours, no signs, no information from anyone about what's going on. No update boards for departure and arrivals. The bag check line was the first insult-5 am on a Thursday we waited 1.5 hours to check a bag. Next was security. Huge lines, no explanation as to why we were diverted to a dirty hallway to stand for who knows how long. Why? Who knows? No one! We told security several times that our flight was scheduled to board and leave on time -and we needed to get thru-but all they said was "don't worry" As of now, we are stranded in this hallway. I don't know if we'll ever get out. Never Again. This airport is dead to me-and I will spend my days warning others against this place. This would never be acceptable in the US-and the people of Argentina should not accept this abysmal level of service. Especially with what flights cost. BEWARE OF THIS AIRPORT read more

Descending into this airport, I didn't realize just how far away it was from downtown Buenos Aires. Other than the location, the airport itself is okay. WiFi wasn't bad and coming through customs on an international flight wasn't a bad wait. There aren't a ton of food options past baggage claim, and Uber remains illegal in Buenos Aires as of this review, even though the app itself still works. Finding our driver was not convenient insofar as he had to be surreptitious to avoid a fine, but using Uber was worth it in the end. A regular cab would have cost about double based on my math. read more
