This past week was my first time flying out TJ and I have to say it was a good experience. Most of the signage was in English and Spanish to make it easier on people that don't speak Spanish. The airport is nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most definitely will be flying out of here in the future again.

Came to this airport to pick up a family member. This is my first time here and I was really nervous coming here. Parking was really straightforward, easy access in and out, I was surprised. Get your tickets when you come in, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE IT WITH YOU when you go into the airport because you will need it to pay before going back to your car (You also get a 15 minute window for you to leave). Elevator was out of service! Inside the airport, it was nice and clean. There are taxi people just waiting for you to come out of the arrival doors, but they are not annoying, if you say no, they'll move on. That's was good. They have a money exchange, shops, some fast food and a Starbucks inside.

We crossed into TIJ vai CBX and flew out domestically to Cabo instead of internationally from San Diego. Prices was much better, even when you factor in the minor cost of utilizing the CBX. Speaking of, CBX funnels you directly into TIJ security area, which was a breeze to get through. Once through security, the airport opens up into a surprising modern concourse outfitted with a variety of eateries, bars and shops. There is a small food court that houses a few chain restaurants, but also local spots offering up all the Mexican favorites you might expect after crossing. The options for shopping, snacks, drinks and meals are decent. The space, including the walk ways are well kept and clean. The terminal and gates are well laid out, and signage is helpful. It is an easy airport to navigate. Overall, we were surprised with TIJ and did not expect the modern design and variety of options. We had about 90 minutes to wait, and that time was well spent bellied up to a bar sipping a margarita at 9:00 AM!

Today, 12/22, I had one of the worst airport experiences of my life at Tijuana International Airport (TJ) due to the complete failure of airport and airline coordination during a Viva Aerobus flight cancellation to Cabo. My morning flight was canceled with little to no notice, and from that moment on, everything fell apart. It took nearly six hours for staff to provide any meaningful information or assistance on rebooking or next steps. The lack of urgency, communication, and leadership was shocking. What made it worse was the so called manager, who clearly had no idea how to handle the situation. He was disorganized, unprepared, and ineffective. At one point, another passenger a woman had to step in and literally guide him step by step on how to move forward. That should never happen in a situation involving hundreds of stranded travelers. This trip was especially important to me. My family was already inside the airplane, and I was traveling for my father's birthday, which is now completely ruined due to this late cancellation and incompetence. There was zero empathy shown for passengers with families, time sensitive plans, or special occasions. After hours of waiting, all I was offered was a flight the next day and a single overnight stay, which felt insulting given the disruption, stress, and lost time. No real accountability. No proper compensation. Just delays and excuses. On top of everything, the airport itself is poorly equipped to handle disruptions: * Not enough seating * Very limited charging areas (my phone nearly died) * Overcrowded, chaotic, and uncomfortable * Passengers everywhere visibly frustrated and exhausted This airport clearly lacks competent management and basic passenger support infrastructure. I will never return to Tijuana International Airport (TJ) Airport, and I strongly recommend avoiding it if you value your time, sanity, or travel plans. I'll gladly stick to other airports moving forward and avoid this one at all costs.

Get here early and it's pretty fast. Clean and organized, friendly staff. Many ship and restaurants!

We decided to fly to Cabo through the Tijuana International Airport. We got a ride to the CBX building where we began our adventure. The building was clean and the environment was calm. The staff were helpful and kind. We made it through without any problems at all. I just there was seating along the way between United States and the Tijuana check in. The requirements are the same as the US, essentially, with regards to carrying liquids. Restaurants are available once you make it to the Tijuana airport.

Get here early I mean early like 2 hours before your flight

This is a very efficient airport and made even more so by the CBX connection that makes crossing the border that much easier for travel.

Not only was it a way to drastically cut our expenses (domestic flights from within Mexico are obviously way cheaper than international flights from LA), but it was such a calm, streamlined, easy operation. We got to the parking lot early for our 7am flight out of Tijuana, walked to the check in terminal & that's where we encountered our one and only 'hiccup.' Because we had 3 children with us, the Viva desk check-in said we needed to speak to a representative but we were told the only one on duty at that time was in the restroom. Luckily the stand alone kiosk on the other side of the area worked out fine. All of this was more of a Viva issue than a CBX one. We breezed through the bridge over the boarder & customs took no time at all. It was one of the quickest customs experiences I've ever had. We got dumped out right at the bag check area & were on for our trip. Coming home was just as easy. We got our bags and followed the well marked signs to CBX to walk over the boarder & do customs. Customs took a tad bit longer than going to Mexico, but that's more of a US thing than CBX. We still got through in was less time than expected, even when arriving on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend when I would normally expect huge crowds of people trying to get in to the country. In all, we saved hundreds of dollars even after paying for CBX & parking on location. We will always be using them from here on out for any family trips to Mexico.

Hubby and I were headed to Puerto Escondido, which is very expensive and very time-consuming to fly to from the airport in San Diego. However, flight prices and times were much more reasonable from Tijuana. Thanks to CBX, we didn't need to find anyone to cross the border and drive us directly to the airport, especially as our flight departed at 5:40 AM. It was nice to have an easy drop off on this side of the border. Anyway, we were dropped off on the US side, and had pre-purchased CBX tickets online for $50 per person, round trip. I felt that the price was very fair for the staffing and amenities along the way. We had already reserved a rideshare to drive us to CBX, but I saw the secure parking lots and realized that parking there is also a valid, safe option. It appeared that some of the secured parking cost about $30 per day, making it a good option depending how may days you would like to park your car. Anyway, when we entered, there were people guiding us, as it wasn't too crowded at that early hour. You scan your CBX ticket, your boarding pass, and your passport. Then you are able to walk through the barriers. There are escalators and elevators to get to the bridge, and signs stating that there is assistance available for people with disabilities. The bridge was clean and air-conditioned. We walked through customs just prior to entering the Tijuana airport. When I had learned about CBX, I was reluctant. A friend of mine told me that she had walked much further in various airports. It is true. The walk is short and easy Upon coming back to the states, we learned that there were several taco and other food trucks on the US side of CBX, as well as Starbucks and a well-known mall pretzel company. All in all, I am grateful to have a way to access the TJ airoprt in a very easy and affordable way. I plan to continue to use CBX for more affordable flights south of the border.

The lines inside are also never too bad. I can count on this airport and it's efficiency. Only downside is that I wish they had more flights or offered better prices. It is always more expensive to fly out of here but it does save you from the headache of LAX. You have to weigh your options and priorities. I am willing to pay a little more out of here at times. I prefer this airport but it will come down to the price and how much more it is. They don't fly out too late due to the houses around. SYOY!

The location of SNA is ideal if you're staying in the OC - the only other options in the area are SAN and LAX which are both over an hour drive away in either direction. The airport isn't large, but large enough to have several routes passing through it. The aesthetics are fine - not the most modern airport I've been to, and they seem to have a good amount of shops and eateries relative to their size. The rental car counters are super close to the terminal - I can't remember the last time I walked to one from baggage claim. My only real issue with SNA is that because of its size, you will likely be limited in routes. Flying from JFK to SNA was fine, but coming home my only options were connecting flights or a red eye. Neither were ideal, so I planned my itinerary accordingly to fly out of another airport. Overall, SNA is good for what it is, and a great option if you're visiting the Orange County area.
