Bathrooms up on the hill hey are not clean.

From the many stations that is located up from the South and the many areas that are in between the San Ysidro border there are many answers that have come across is the San Ysidro area very safe and yet to see the many place that are located at the San Ysidro border. The border can be described as the flea market and the place where the many scammers come to get people money and the Illegal Registration of documents that are in the Mc Donalds shopping center. There is no bathrooms that you can go to there are ones that are filthy and very smelly that you have to walk up the hill to get to or to pay inside the Mc Donalds Center which the food is very is not very well cooked. For the transit center there at the border is not one that is very safe yet with very few securities and the non-presence of the border patrol or the Homeland security the transit center is United States soil. To find that many of the bus stops that do not have security to have a presence at the transit center there is minimal security yet for the San Dag wants to start a late evening bus that would leave from the transit center the matter for the bus center is the security and the managers to oversee the hours. The areas of the transit center is the safety for the drivers and the passengers when you have busses leave late at the many areas from the many areas there is trouble that is very high at the border. As a customer and shopper yet you may find that the border area has many things the many things to watch for is the drivers posing as taxicab drivers and the ones that take you through the border. As a reviewer there are many things that you can see over at the border is the historical marker that separates the countries that has the correct historical land act that the United States had enacted in the year 1835. For the San Ysidro crossing you can see many of the art displays and historical remodel.

crossing immigration US side. We paid $17 Round Trip. Round trip leaves you stranded in San Ysidro! They do not return you to the location where you boarded! Round Trip is ONLY TO US BOARDER. You are abandoned with no transportation to your vehicle at the 24 hr parking lot! There are about 10 such parking lots within blocks of each other. We could get NO HELP WHEN YOU CALL THE NUMBER YOU CALLED FOR PICK UP!!!+16194280011 DO NOT TAKE THIS SHUTTLE. They abandon you and hang up on you if you call more than once, twice, for help. If you do not SPEAK SPANISH, YOU ARE TOTALLY SCREWED. We ended up having to pay$30 for a rip off coyote So** to drive up 1 mile to our vehicle. Thankful for ride to parking lot, but we paid for return service we DID NOT GET. WAITED 1 HOUR FOR SHUTTLE, 3 SHUTTLES TO Mexico 2 SHUTTLES TO US BOARDER. 3HOURS WASTED. $17 ROUND TRIP - NOT ROUND TRIP. PAID $10 MORE EACH! 3 HOURS IN TRANSIT. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. Go to El Mercadito in East LA INSTEAD!!

This transit center is literally at the foot of the international border. The trolley tracks are backed up against the port where one exists customs and enters the U.S. With that being said. This is a VERY busy station full of people traveling to and from Mexico. The transit station itself is relatively dirty, most likely due to the sheer number of people who cross over. There are three sets of machines where you can buy your trolley tickets, however, the sun is always facing them making them nearly impossible to operate unless you shade the screen with your hands or an object. These machines are far from perfect. On top of not being able to see the screen, the credit card readers are extremely finicky so you often have to try to purchase your ticket multiple times. On busy days, there are MTS employees there to help you use the machines, but even they have trouble sometimes. I personally feel that this station is among the most neglected station in San Diego. Considering it extremely high use, it warrants more service and at least some shade for customers buying tickets.

I live in San Ysidro and cross the bridge everyday. This is the view of the station.

The station itself is older but that gives it some charm. If you're coming here thinking you're going to have a whole bunch of food options, think again. There's one little kiosk with a guy selling a few sandwiches and coffee. Honestly though the kiosk guy was great, really friendly even early in the morning. I wasn't exactly sure how this whole thing worked since I'm not from here, but the attendant was nice and explained that my train would have a line up starting 20 minutes before boarding, then we'd all board together. If you're taking a train out of here I'd give yourself extra time and bring your own food (but stop by the kiosk guy for a coffee, he's a delight).

The Santa Fe Depot serves Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner service, the MTS Trolley, and regional Coaster…read moretrains. This review is of the station facility and not any of the rail services. The Santa Fe Depot was built by the bygone railroad of that name. I'm old enough to remember the advertising slogan "Ship and travel Santa Fe--all the way!" This is one of relatively few major railway stations that have both been preserved largely in their original form, and continue to serve rail passengers. It is a beautiful Mission-style building from the early 20th Century, and will give you a feel for what rail travel was like in its heyday. Gorgeous tile work and some nice landscaping make this a great place to wait for a train. (Search "Santa Fe Depot (San Diego)" on Wikipedia for more on its history and architecture.) For Amtrak passengers, this is a staffed station with ticketing and checked baggage services. Amtrak staff are courteous and helpful. The waiting room is large and has plenty of old-style bench seating. There is a designated waiting area for seniors and people with disabilities needing assistance in boarding. There are restrooms, but Amtrak often has difficulty in keeping unhoused people from making a mess or using the facilities for things other than immediate relief. So at times, not everyone will find them comfortable to use. In addition to the Trolley, the Santa Fe Depot is also served by several MTS bus lines. There is a paid parking lot run by a third-party provider. No free parking nearby. There is a small kiosk--the Silver Streak Cafe--selling food and drink. See my separate review.
