The fees are a little bit less than at other gyms and I think this is due to the size of it. There are a decent number of top rope and lead climbing routes but only a few auto belays. The bouldering area was very squished due to a wall that separates everything else from it. It just felt like it was hard to walk without tripping over people essentially. They had a lot of projects up that were ungraded on one side of the wall. This was kind of interesting because it kind let you forget about any sort of level restrictions. Some of the grading they did have was interesting - they had had a "V minus"...as in less than 0. I'm not sure how one determines something is easier than a 0. As for some housekeeping, the front has a lot of coat hangers and a bench area for you to put on your shoes. There is a sink in this area too for quick handwashing. There are lockers up a set of stairs. They don't do any walk-in sort of belay training - check for special dates. They had a board up where you could contact other members for a belay partner which was pretty cool. All the staff were friendly too. Seems like a nice gym to be a part of!

If you think the moving chair will be a problem, no worries, you can ask them for a static seat. This attraction did not live up to the hype. While waiting in line, you are given various info about the ride, including the fact that everyone will get a score at the end. However, only the top 4 players got a score. When we asked the worker why that's the case, they said they didn't know, but that it hasn't shown scores for everyone for as long as he's worked there, so it's "normal" we didn't see it (okay, but then why are we told we'll see it while waiting in line?). Also, while in queue, we could see the live scores of the people currently playing (along with a photo of them in their chair). That's great... Except only those that aren't actually playing sees this. Again, how does that make any sense? The 3D glasses were also not that great. They were old and blurry. My friends all said theirs was the same. It worked, but it was quite blurry. Another problem is that there's no way to see which dot on the screen is yours. My friend said she shot a single point to the far left and realized the laser landed much higher than where she was pointing, so hers was unfortunately not accurate at all. Two of the top 4 players were sitting right behind us. As the scores were displayed, one of them said, "I held down the trigger the entire time!" The other responded, "Same!". I don't think that's how laser guns should work, but yeah, don't bother continuously pulling the trigger as you'll only risk tiring out your hand. Just spray and pray lol. I don't know exactly how long each ride lasted, but it definitely wasn't super long. Imo, not worth it unless you have the Fun Pass. Note: If you're carrying things with you, you'll either have to keep it in your lap or on the floor. There's no storage area.

This was a fun ride!…read more Zombie attack was part of our Clifton Hill fun pass, it's normally $10 to get in and I would say it's worth it if you get the pass. The ride last about 10 minutes. Guests are strapped into a bucket-style seat that moves, vibrates, shimmys, and shakes during the interactive game. Users wear 3D glasses and have a Lazer scoped gun available to shoot zombies. These aren't your typical zombies as these ones are fast and extremely aggressive, so if you're not on your A-game you're going down. The game is fast-paced and there is a lot of movement and action on the screen and in the seat so if you can't handle this type of motion this ride might not be for you. All-in-all, if I was in town and looking for a fun time I would definitely come back.

We had a group of 5 people, but I wouldn't do anymore than 6 in this room because it's not too big. They really stuck to the classroom theme but also kept it challenging. The only two complaints I have are that it was SO HOT in the room after about 15 minutes. We spent the last 45 minutes sweating, which made it uncomfortable and hard to focus. Also, the man who was sending us "emails" on the tv screen was very busy so he was not always able to keep up with our progress. Other than that, it was great! My friends and I were looking for something fun and a little bit different to do so we decided to try out axe throwing at BATL. It was a great night! After arriving and getting set up we were taught the basics by our wonderful instructor Averi who helped us out and got us all throwing fairly accurately after a couple of practice rounds. Once we were all hitting the boards Averi set us up for a small tournament (group of 6). We started with head to head matches in a round robin and then had elimination rounds to finally crown a champion (me lol). It was tons of fun the whole way though. BATL has 8 lanes an can accommodate any size group. Our group of 6 was on 2 lanes and I believe any group over 12 gets 4 lanes. They also have a small bar with drinks and snacks to keep you fueled up while the axes are flying. The staff at BATL is amazing. Our instructor Averi was super fun and very helpful. She took the time to make sure everyone knew what they were doing and was just really fun to hang out with between rounds. Everyone else from BATL was very helpful and accommodating as well. It was nice to see people who really enjoyed their work and they made the mood there something special. We will definitely be back again. This place is a keeper for sure.

It's not just the staff (though, the staff are all great, especially Averi), the other members are all amazing too. My wife is now a league member as well and our thirteen month old daughter always comes with us. She's also been welcomed by everyone as part of the BATL family, and as dangerous as axe throwing sounds, it's one of the places I feel safest with my daughter, and letting her hang out with other people. Definitely check this place out. Even if you only go for a night and don't join a league, I promise that you'll have an amazing time and feel like part of the BATL family by the time you leave. If you join a league though, join Sunday!

Nonetheless it still was fun and I'd probably do it again if when I come back to Niagara Falls but without the video/phone package.
