A little expensive for a three minute or less ride. However, great fun with a great view. We went off-season beginning of May, which was perfect almost no lines.

    Waiting to zip!

I grew up near here, and took this area for granted. My mom is moving and now I'll have no reason to visit this area again. So we decided to go out with a little bang and check off ziplining at Niagara Falls off the list. It was pretty affordable, especially since they let you do it again for a discounted price. Everything was very easy from purchase to the ride back Only reason for 1 less star is because the worker at the top seemed kind of miserable. Granted it was FREEZING up top. So it's slightly understandable. But the guys at the bottom that help you get unhooked, and the driver were SO nice. We regretted not having cash to tip them. That's how nice they were. The driver stopped at a great spot and took pictures for us. It was so fun.

Come early. Line starts around 7.

OMG. So worth the trip over the bridge. Zip lining The Falls is really just plain fun. It's something for all ages (at least over 7), and will bring out the kid in you. You should make reservations online and fill out their waiver online. It'll save you time when you get there. Don't be late, it's all timed. Wear sneakers or other outside shoes. Don't carry too much, you don't want to have things in your pocket that can fall. Right now this is what you can do, but the park has other attractions coming too. Soon it'll have more options for all to explore, so even if you don't want to zipline there will be something else that interests you. It's not cheap, but a little less given the current exchange rate. 2508

I would to start off with the disclaimer that you don't really zip-line "Over the Falls," you actually zip-line along it. Also, this attraction just started up, so there will be some growing pains and a much longer than expected wait due to the nature of so many people wanting the experience the "cool, new thing." It was VERY busy there, and despite having a reservation at 11:30am I was not harnessed up until well after 1:00pm. Because I was alone, I was expedited up the line to join an odd numbered group. I'm happy they accommodated me, but I really wonder how long my wait truly would have been if I stayed in line! :O From the base of the building up the the top where you get harnessed, there is always a nice view to take photos. The zip-line mechanism itself is a seated one, so there's no need to pull your weigh up or swing your legs: You just sit down and enjoy the ride. Your harness also has a zipped pouch to put all your belongings in, so use it and don't risk having anything fall out of your pocket! I want to assume the ride was about 30-40 seconds long depending on how you position yourself (Check my tip). From what I saw, selfie sticks and GoPros were allowed, but you can't use your cellphone on the ride. Throw it in your pouch. I was informed by the staff that eventually they will offer photo/video services in the near future. If there are any improvements that I could recommend, it's to label the line entrance or the check-in building to segregate those that made reservations from those just walking in. All day the staff had to ask people one-by-one if they made a reservation, and relocate them if they didn't. It was very disorganized and a simple sign would save the staff a lot of time and grief. Overall, for $50, this wasn't a bad ride and view. It's a cool attraction! I'm kind of desensitized to this from the other things I've done, so I didn't find it very "thrilling." However, I'm sure it will be for anyone trying it out casually!

I was able to get pics of some friends when they were coming down but none of myself since there was no photographer that day.

I enjoyed the experience, but many of the intricacies made it less special. We thought that making reservations and filling out the waiver online would save time. Boy were we wrong. When we arrived, we had to wait in the same general wait line as everyone else who had not paid or signed a waiver yet. We waited in line for at least 15 minutes, which caused us to be late for our appointed time. Not that that made a difference, it was still first come, first served. When we finally arrived at the window, we were weighed and given a wristband and never asked for our IDs to verify it was our reservation. Then after walking up to the platform we were weighed again and informed that the photographer was not here today. What!? How do you not have a photographer at a tourist attraction?! And we were not allowed to have anything in our hands during the zip line so we couldn't take pics of ourselves while flying. This was infuriating. One the the positive things is that the harness has a backpack that you can put all your belongings in. During the ride, I initially thought that it was slow, but then realized that I wouldn't have wanted to whizz past and not soak in the beauty of Niagara Falls. Again, the experience was outstanding, but the details were faulty. When we finished the ride, we were directed to a shuttle bus that drove us back to the beginning. During the ride, the driver gave us some local site information, I liked learning those facts. Lastly, as Andrew P's review states, "I would to start off with the disclaimer that you don't really zip-line "Over the Falls," you actually zip-line along it."

    Julie B.

I had an amazing time when I went Zip lining across the beautiful falls. I am terrified of heights but found the courage to give this a try. The scariest part was having to put my arms out during the zip line. It does go very fast and it jerked pretty hard at the end. A van took me back to the Canada side after I was done with the zip line. It was an amazing once in a lifetime experience. Would I do it again? Possibly. But it would take a lot to get the courage to zip line that high again. It was an adrenaline rushing yet beautiful moment zip lining here.

    Bill O.

Though this was cool, it was not what the video or hype made you think it was. You're not really that close to the waterfalls and it's just a straight shot down. Not worth the money. Not worth the wait.

    Angelynn J.

We did the zip lining here and it was a lot of fun. I was very annoyed by the fact their GoPro was messed up and I couldn't buy the video and photos of my friend and I zip lining but everyone else video worked. I would've bought the video and pictures because I was very excited about coming here. The lady was like well you can buy your other friends video instead but you only saw us for a few seconds so I wasn't about to do that. Make sure everything works before you get people excited please.

    Such a great adrenaline rush!

My husband and I reserved to do the new zip line at Niagara Falls as soon as we heard it was open. We LOVED it. It really goes beside the falls more than over them. We weren't scared at all. Open your arms and legs to slow yourself down and enjoy the view longer. Extremely helpful and friendly staff.

Everyone was friendly, encouraging, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure we had an amazing time. They explained everything clearly, kept the atmosphere fun, and made the entire adventure unforgettable. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of my experience at the very end. The employee who removed my harness didn't greet me, didn't explain what he was doing, and suddenly unclipped my harness, causing it to fall to the ground. It honestly startled me because I had no idea what was happening. He then just stood there looking at me as if I should already know what to do next. It felt dismissive and was such a strange way to end an otherwise incredible experience. I wish I had gotten his name because everyone else was absolutely fantastic. That one interaction won't take away from how much fun I had. If you're visiting Niagara Falls, I highly recommend WildPlay! The adventure, the views, and the staff (with one unfortunate exception) made it an experience I'll never forget.

It was super easy to locate the meeting point for the boat. As soon as we walked past the main downtown area we saw the blue arches showing Niagara City Cruises. Online there was a disclaimer that even though you are booking a specific time you may need to wait past then to get onto the boat. We arrived at 10:20 for our 10:30 cruise and were promptly beginning out walk down towards the boat at 10:31. When you get to the meeting point for the boat you join a queue that then goes into the lift that will take you down to the boat. There are 2 lifts running at the same time so this process went quickly. Once we made it off of the lift we followed the signage for the departing boat. Before we joined the next queue to get onto the boat employees were handing out ponchos that were included in the ticket price. At this point there was a stand selling snacks and drinks. We did not take advantage of this at this time, so I cannot comment on the quality of the food. We conrinued to head towards the next queue which would lead us onto the boat. We had the option of riding on the top of the boat or the bottom, and we chose the top. It was quiet crowded up there but it did seem like no matter where you stood you had a view-and you were going to get soaked. We were absolutely drenched. They take you right to the bottom of the falls. It was an amazing experience that I am so glad that we did! After our trip I watched the later boats going to the falls and I was shocked at how close the boat actually takes you. At some point the most from the falls was so thick I couldn't see. It felt like we were in a rain storm and we were all cracking up and how crazy it was. This tour is 20 minutes which seems like the perfect amount of time to get drenched. We saw both falls, and no matter what side of the boat you are on you are going to have a great experience. Getting off of the boat was quick and easy. They offer recycling for the used ponchos. When you continue on you will run into the food and drink stands as well as ample seating and restrooms where you can regroup before continuing on. They do take your photo before you get onto the boat, and you have the option to buy it for $50 CAD. This include 2 8x10 prints and a digital download. They do add fun backgrounds to the photos, and they do look like there was some kind of editing done to make the image look a little finer. Converted to USD I thought it was a good price for a great souvenir. I will be hanging the photo in my house! We had very little interaction with the employees, which I feel was a result of them operating efficiently. We didn't have any hold-ups from the time we arrived to when we exited. At the end you queue for the lift to take you back up to the original booth for Niagara City Cruises. From there you can simply keep walking and enjoy the view of the falls from the trail. Quick, efficient, and no frills for a fair price.

Admittedly, I don't have too much to compare to as I've only done much smaller courses indoors. However, there are still 5 fairly large (IMO) courses) and it does largely require the advertised three hours. I think it's pretty good value for the experience, the relatively high staffing ratio and large course. There's quite a mix of obstacles in terms of crossing, so it's not simply repeating the same thing. All five courses each have their own zip line and some are a pretty good distance. I found staff very helpful and quite patient with everyone. You get about a 20 minute intro, but it's very much needed as you need to know how to hook yourself up safely and even set up on a zipline on your own (but they're there for the first one). I'll be honest, I did deliberately try and position myself near the start so I wouldn't be in the back of our cohort. You may want to consider doing the same, though it seems as though after a bit of time it spreads out pretty well. Note that the giant zipline that goes back and forth across the lake is an extra $18 or so. It's well worth it from my experience since you're travelling a few hundred meters (each way) and get the speed and distance you'd associate with a thrill ride. The ones in the course are still pretty fun though, especially when they're your first experiences. I was okay without gloves as I have fairly calloused hands, and I'm proud of my daughter for barely complaining though I could see they were a bit red when done. They should probably do a better job of suggesting it to people when purchasing tickets as I heard others expressing that they wished they had them. You hold onto cables virtually all times when crossing and at times there's a good amount of tension. Plus, for them, it's a wasted opportunity as they could probably make good money selling cheaper pairs. All that said, it doesn't affect my rating and I was fine personally. For me it made for a wonderful day and mixing: adventure, exercise and nature are right up my alley. A bit crazy that it took me so long to get to this place since it's so close, but very glad that I did.
