I can tolerate a normal Brazilian as far as pain goes but I did not even flinch with Maria. Not only does she use the highest quality of hard wax, but her attention to detail is truly unmatched. So many times I have gone to other places and have found many hairs were left behind, but Maria makes sure to get every single hair, and the entire hair follicle at that. However, since the Pine Ridge location closed, this place has become a disaster. At my last appointment, I had to wait 15 minutes just to be seen. The wax was extremely hot when applied to my skin--it almost burned me--simply because they are rushing from one client to the next, trying to serve everyone at a single location now. Even after you book and confirm an appointment, they'll call to cancel--either because the person you were scheduled with has left or because they need to re-schedule your appointment, and they call the day before your appointment. And the person making the calls doesn't seem to realize that if there are no clients, she doesn't get paid; her attitude on the phone suggests she couldn't care less whether you show up or not--it makes no difference to her. They offered wine and water in real glassware (a nice touch--my salon back home uses plastic), and everything was brought out neatly on a serving tray. Our nail techs were incredibly patient and accommodating. My stepmother is very particular about glitter polish, and they happily kept trying different options until she was completely satisfied. I had a small split in my thumbnail, and they thoughtfully applied a gel layer to keep it from getting worse. If I lived in Naples, this would absolutely be my go-to salon. I had the worst waxing experience at European Wax Center in Naples today. My esthetician, Neomi,…read morewas not only rude and unprofessional but also made me feel extremely uncomfortable during my Brazilian wax. She behaved as if she had never seen pubic hair before--something completely unacceptable in this profession. The wax was messy, poorly applied, and rushed--she didn't even let it set before trying to pull it off, leaving hairs behind. I'm still in pain and sore from the experience. Despite being very flexible (I've been waxing for over 25 years and am a yoga teacher), she kept making unnecessary comments about my positioning. At one point, my knee lightly touched her belly, and she actually accused me of kicking her, which was beyond bizarre and very concerning that she would just lie like that and with no shame. I don't understand how European Wax Center continues to employ someone with such a poor attitude and lack of skill. I highly recommend avoiding Neomi at all costs! She's a liability for EWC and will never be back there.
