I can tolerate a normal Brazilian as far as pain goes but I did not even flinch with Maria. Not only does she use the highest quality of hard wax, but her attention to detail is truly unmatched. So many times I have gone to other places and have found many hairs were left behind, but Maria makes sure to get every single hair, and the entire hair follicle at that. She showed me the wax after removing hair and the bulbs were there on every follicle. I have been to many great waxers and Maria is the best by far. The salon is spacious, with what looked like 18 pedicure chairs and about 16 manicure stations. We made a noon reservation for two and were seated right on time. They offered wine and water in real glassware (a nice touch--my salon back home uses plastic), and everything was brought out neatly on a serving tray. Our nail techs were incredibly patient and accommodating. My stepmother is very particular about glitter polish, and they happily kept trying different options until she was completely satisfied. I had a small split in my thumbnail, and they thoughtfully applied a gel layer to keep it from getting worse. If I lived in Naples, this would absolutely be my go-to salon. She behaved as if she had never seen pubic hair before--something completely unacceptable in this profession. The wax was messy, poorly applied, and rushed--she didn't even let it set before trying to pull it off, leaving hairs behind. I'm still in pain and sore from the experience. Despite being very flexible (I've been waxing for over 25 years and am a yoga teacher), she kept making unnecessary comments about my positioning. At one point, my knee lightly touched her belly, and she actually accused me of kicking her, which was beyond bizarre and very concerning that she would just lie like that and with no shame. I don't understand how European Wax Center continues to employ someone with such a poor attitude and lack of skill. I highly recommend avoiding Neomi at all costs! She's a liability for EWC and will never be back there.
