I got that pregnancy glow instead of a face full of breakouts after the first session but went every month to keep up with the rapid hormonal changes and to maintain that glow. About a year ago, I received Botox injections from Virginia. For context, I've had Botox several…read moretimes in the past at other locations without any issues. During this visit, she treated my forehead and the area between my eyes, and strongly insisted that I also treat my crow's feet--even after I explained that I typically don't do that area. Despite my hesitation, she continued to push for additional units, which already made me feel uneasy. Unfortunately, the results turned out poorly. The Botox looked uneven, and I experienced significant side effects. My eyes became extremely dry, heavy, and uncomfortable--to the point where I had to keep a warm, damp cloth over them for several hours a day, for nearly three months, just to get relief. I eventually saw an actual physician who specializes in Botox injections to figure out what went wrong. I was told that I had been injected with far too many units, placed too deeply, and too close to my eyes. I truly wish Virginia had listened to me instead of pressuring me into more units. I've spent a lot of money at this clinic in the past for various treatments, and honestly, the way I was treated after this happened was very disappointing. When I spoke with Virginia on the phone about the side effects, she repeatedly questioned whether something else was going on with me--as if I was exaggerating or making up what I was experiencing, despite suffering for nearly three months. I was very disappointed and do not recommend this clinic! I would pay the additional few bucks per unit and go to an experienced injector and someone who actually listens to you.

She mysteriously answered her phone after it expired. I had called. I had left voicemails. Whatevs. The office building itself looks nice from the outside. The address that I met her was 380 E Northwest Hwy, Suite 320N, Des Plaines, IL, Illinois 60016. There is a handwritten sign to only use the elevator. There is brown wrapping paper all over the walkways; I am assuming because everything leaks. To be fair, today is Tuesday and there was hurricane on Saturday. There was even flooding in Des Plaines. You get in the elevator and there are big bags of garbage on one side. Whatevs. When you arrive on 3rd floor, there is lots more brown paper laid out. On your left is an open door -- a men's bathroom that I accidently walked into. On the right is more offices. You walk around winding the building, past massage therapists, etc. There was even a 7-year-old running around, screaming in the hall; her mother was doing some wet chemistry benchwork in an office. Jina will offer to show you the restroom, which is literally on the other end of the building. Her spa room is comfortable enough. I think the equipment is old because it is rickety. There was one point where she used a pre-moistened pre-cut paper facial mask, like those sold for at-home treatments. When I got dressed again and stepped into the other room, she was sitting behind her desk doing something to her purse. I was the only other person there and, after a few awkward minutes, I said loudly, 'So, next month at XYZ?' This is where I got confused. She asked, 'So, you don't have the money?' 'What?' To be fair, I probably looked really rude. My surprise face is really bug-eyed and I kept asking, 'What?!' She repeated herself, 'You don't have the money. That's why you aren't paying, right?' 'What?' 'Do you want me to cancel the next appointment?' 'What?' I think I was supposed to prepay for the next appointment, but she didn't really explain it. She also looked really hurt. I was surprised and she was taken back. It was confusing. All together, the restroom, the conversations before and after, and the facial took exactly one hour. Never again.

The space is cozy and relaxing and the facial made my skin feel unbelievably great! First of all, the first lady I had for my first 2 or 3 sessions, I think the machine was on low because it was not painful at all. Fast forward to my 4th session with Taylor, and it hurt like a b!***! (which is normal and expected). It was just a huge jump. Then I found out the lady who I had for my first 2 or 3 sessions was no longer with the company. This might have had something to do with my results (maybe she wasn't doing it right? It didn't hurt at all). My results are not that great. I still grow a lot of hair in the regions I got lasered even after 6 sessions. I know it's never a guarantee, but they promised around 70-80% removal and I wanna say it's at like 40-50%. I currently go to a new place that I left 2 reviews for already, and I already see a difference after 2 sessions, more than what I saw when I was at AH Laser. It's not really worth it here for the price when it comes to laser hair removal. I don't know what lasers they use, but that might have something to do with it, as well. First, I'll admit - I have been stalking the beautiful pictures of touched up faces on Instagram and did my due diligence research, even came here to read reviews from my fellow Yelpers. AH Laser Aesthetics kept popping up ... in a good way! The before and after pictures are real, not touched up or photoshopped. That was a bonus! The jackpot was seeing their Pre-Black Friday Week sale & I couldn't say no to a reasonable price for Botox. It was after midnight and so I wouldn't chicken out, I sent a text message stating I was interested in the special. I got a reply right away AND through some nice back & forth texting, an appointment! Walking in the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I immediately felt it was cozy place and the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! I had my consultation with Andriana, an RN, and she listened to my concerns carefully. She was attentive, didn't push any services, clarified what my expectations were, and was very upfront about what I could expect. I'm a sweat-sweater - like pouring buckets sometimes out of nowhere, probably pre-menopausal (Crap! Gave away my age? ... maybe or maybe not), but I mentioned it to Andriana. She gave me an honest answer. If it's something that's consistent and worrisome, a specialist would be best to help with it. There's no guarantee that the injections of Botox at the office would cut down on it or stop it. Fair enough! I was tired of the forehead bacon, the weird wrinkles, and the tired looking brows. I went for it! Andriana talked me through every step, told me what she was doing, and it was all very before I knew it. She followed up with what I would see within the next 7 days and what to do/not to do following the treatment for the next few hours. I was a happy camper! I also noticed they do B12 shots and I'm always deficient in it, like bad deficient, so at a reasonable cost, I added that to my services. I walked out of AH Laser Aesthetics feeling good, proud to have gone XX number of years without Botox, and so happy I found the perfect place to get my first treatment! Dr. Nisha Patel is so friendly, open, knowledgeable, and has just a great aura of positive energy. Andriana is exactly the same - just as friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and positive! They said they were gonna call me within three days for a biopsy results, but it took them two weeks and nothing follow up for my mole removal..
