I have so many wonderful things to say about this amazing practice. I was initially referred by a friend to the practice because I needed a general doctor. At my first appointment (and btw I love Angelica the nurse practitioner...so patient and knowledgeable), I noticed the med spa part of the office. So, I'm very into trying new products, but never ventured into the world of botox/fillers...although I've been curious, especially since turning 44!! I started with the aquagold facial. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to dabble, but isn't ready for injections. Taylor was fantastic in that she completely managed my expectations. She let me know that I would love the results, but likely it wouldn't be enough. Omg, was she spot on! I glowed, but it didn't really fill in anything. Fast forward to quarantine when we were all stuck at home looking drab (haha!). I did a virtual appointment with Dr. Nisha, who is literally the coolest doctor I have ever met...you'll want to be friends with her! Dr. Nisha knew exactly what I wanted, and so I trusted her with Volbella for above my lip and my actual lip. The results are so natural that not even my husband knows I had anything done. I have had tons of compliments, but no one actually knows! Finally, on my last visit, I bought the August promotion. They are great for monthly promotions! I had 2 facials for $200. So, I just got microdermabrasion for the first time and love it. Again, this was with the awesome Taylor and my skin is so clean! I have literally found my spot. I am very conservative and love that they don't push me. They all seem to get that I just want to be a better version of myself, not someone different! read more

I'm pretty surprised with how my actual experience was at AH Laser because of their outstanding reviews. The secretaries and technicians here were all very nice, especially my laser hair removal tech, Taylor. She was great, so informative, and made me feel super comfortable. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of my results and the price I paid. I had laser hair removal done here for 2 small-ish regions on my body. First of all, the first lady I had for my first 2 or 3 sessions, I think the machine was on low because it was not painful at all. Fast forward to my 4th session with Taylor, and it hurt like a b!***! (which is normal and expected). It was just a huge jump. Then I found out the lady who I had for my first 2 or 3 sessions was no longer with the company. This might have had something to do with my results (maybe she wasn't doing it right? It didn't hurt at all). My results are not that great. I still grow a lot of hair in the regions I got lasered even after 6 sessions. I know it's never a guarantee, but they promised around 70-80% removal and I wanna say it's at like 40-50%. I currently go to a new place that I left 2 reviews for already, and I already see a difference after 2 sessions, more than what I saw when I was at AH Laser. It's not really worth it here for the price when it comes to laser hair removal. I don't know what lasers they use, but that might have something to do with it, as well. It's everyone's dream to look youthful and have beautiful skin. Some are lucky with good family genes and some are in the middle of the road lucky-lane. I'm in the middle of the road lucky-lane. I don't look my age (shhh... a woman never tells and a person should never ask), but time has passed and my face kinda shows it. First, I'll admit - I have been stalking the beautiful pictures of touched up faces on Instagram and did my due diligence research, even came here to read reviews from my fellow Yelpers. AH Laser Aesthetics kept popping up ... in a good way! The before and after pictures are real, not touched up or photoshopped. That was a bonus! The jackpot was seeing their Pre-Black Friday Week sale & I couldn't say no to a reasonable price for Botox. It was after midnight and so I wouldn't chicken out, I sent a text message stating I was interested in the special. I got a reply right away AND through some nice back & forth texting, an appointment! Walking in the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I immediately felt it was cozy place and the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! I had my consultation with Andriana, an RN, and she listened to my concerns carefully. She was attentive, didn't push any services, clarified what my expectations were, and was very upfront about what I could expect. I'm a sweat-sweater - like pouring buckets sometimes out of nowhere, probably pre-menopausal (Crap! Gave away my age? ... maybe or maybe not), but I mentioned it to Andriana. She gave me an honest answer. If it's something that's consistent and worrisome, a specialist would be best to help with it. There's no guarantee that the injections of Botox at the office would cut down on it or stop it. Fair enough! I was tired of the forehead bacon, the weird wrinkles, and the tired looking brows. I went for it! Andriana talked me through every step, told me what she was doing, and it was all very before I knew it. She followed up with what I would see within the next 7 days and what to do/not to do following the treatment for the next few hours. I was a happy camper! I also noticed they do B12 shots and I'm always deficient in it, like bad deficient, so at a reasonable cost, I added that to my services. I walked out of AH Laser Aesthetics feeling good, proud to have gone XX number of years without Botox, and so happy I found the perfect place to get my first treatment! Dr. Nisha Patel is so friendly, open, knowledgeable, and has just a great aura of positive energy. Andriana is exactly the same - just as friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and positive! I'm so thrilled to have found my new happy beauty place and I can't wait to try other beauty treatments to keep this face (and body) looking youthful! I've been getting injections here for several years and it is by far the best thing I've done for my appearance. I love how much better my face looks with the Botox that Dr. Nisha injects. I've had bad Botox at other places, once by a dermatologist, and Dr Nisha is by far the best. There is definitely a skill and a talent for injecting it and she has both. If I ever feel like I'm not totally happy I go back and she fixes it for me. I'm in my forties and I can't imagine not getting Botox regularly now. She makes it look so natural. But what really made a difference in my face and made me so happy was Juvederm. I think fillers are amazing and I'm so glad they are available. Nurse Andriana is amazing!!!! I've been coming here for botox for almost a year and love my results everytime. However, I wanted to try lip fillers for the first time. There is so many things I want to say on this review but the most important thing I can say is this - Dr. Nisha is amazing - she is brilliant (she knows her stuff let me tell you!!!) but what you don't see very often with doctors is how warm and friendly she is. I drove an hour from Wisconsin to get an aqua gold treatment. My issue was a large pores and I was told how it would shrink them in a matter of weeks and how much better my skin would be. As for the pictures you see I had very mild acne. So my main issue was the large pores. When I was at my appointment I was told it would even help my acne.This treatment was the worst mistake I've ever made. Since then I've had severe acne, clog pores, Little white bumps all over my face. Huge cystic acne, and dry as hell skin. I got the treatment done in September 2019 and it is now February and my skin is still bad but not nearly as bad as it was a month after the treatment .I called the office and they told me that they would give me a free chemical peel to help my acne. Sorry but I'm not driving out to Illinois for a chemical peel when I can get one for 60 bucks down the street from my house. I've been getting Hydro facials and chemical peels and any type of special facial to help my skin every month it's still looks this terrible. I met with the doctor and he told me that I should've never got that done how I'm only 22 and that is for older women or women. That they should've recommended micro needling or laser treatments not a mix of Botox and filler's. I just wish I had somebody to inform me on what's best for my skin and not just sell me an expensive treatment and say I'll absolutely love it and how amazing it is. read more

I have been going here off and on for a while now and just saw the two lower ratings and I have to say, this is not the experience I or any of my friends have experienced at AH Laser. My friends have become clients on my recommendation and a couple of them are now better clients than I am!!! I am in a group that often sees lack luster hair removal due to our super pale skin and blonde hairs (don't let that pic fool you, I dye it to give my face some depth!! - other wise I would be so washed out I'd look sick!!) and VOILA!! I have little to no hair left!!! (Except where I want it LOL). I thought I would share with you my experiences so you can make a more informed choice - after all that is what Yelp! is all about :) I started with my legs, because they were always itchy and I hated shaving. I have only had 4 treatments to date and I do need to schedule another (note to self). I have random spots that need to be lasered again. At first they were fine, just baby fine hairs, which laser treatments won't remove when its blonde, now that I have shaved them for about a year (it takes a bit over a month for those hairs to be long enough to see so I know where to shave) they are dark enough and long enough for the techs to see, so we can address the areas that need addressing. I then progressed to my face and underarms. My face I have been diligent about, my underarms not so much. The hair on my face comes back, all my friends have similar issues too, we recently found out that your facial hair is the most fickle and hormonal fluctuations will effect hair growth, even when you thought it was gone!! Even though my hairs are blonde, the laser still makes it less & I no longer get these random snakelike super long curly hairs on my lower checks and neck. The side burn areas have taken a bit longer to address but since my hair dresser told me that your body treats that hair more like the hair on your head I haven't stressed about it too much. As for the underarms, mine are sensitive and the hair is so sparse that I don't mind shaving once every month or so. I need to back to them and I will, just in no hurry. My girlfriends and I always compare notes and such and we agree that we love AH Laser. Now it is not a "SPA" and does also have a medical practice with it, but they have done a good job in sprucing up an old medical office. I don't need to pay for a "SPA" as long as it works and it does. Some people will obviously have random issues, but that certainly doesn't mean that everyone will have those issues. I have looked at and considered going to another aesthetics place closer to my house when they have groupons for them, but I too have always been worried about what I will get. I have been so happy with the services and staff that I think you should all just come here and let them know I sent you! ;) read more

I am so lucky I found this gem! I stared coming here for B12 shots and found everyone so amazing and nice! I decided to schedule an appointment with one of the Aestheticians because I'm near 50 and it's time to really take care of my skin. I consulted with Taylor and she recommend a couple of treatments for me. What I liked the most was that in addition to being so pleasant and knowledgeable she did not oversell me o try to push for the most expensive treatments, a lot of places do this unfortunately. I really like this place. It is very welcoming and neat. It was my first time to have my chemical peel done at this place due to my acne. It's been 3 days now after my chemical peel, and the peeling process is really not that bad. My face looks more glowing and healthy. The dead skin are peeling on its own. The chemical peel is not that painful either. I really like Taylor, she is one of the licensed aesthestician at AH laser. She is very sweet, accommodating and very knowledgeable. Today was my final session of laser hair removal and the results have exceeded my expectations. The process with some numbing lotion applied in advance is painless and in between sessions the difference in reduced hair growth is amazing. If you want to get rid of hair in unwanted areas this is the spa to visit. The facility is super clean and the staff including the receptionists and estheticians' are world class. I worked with Lexi for my treatments and I would highly suggest her as she puts you at ease and makes it a relaxing, easy experience without the anxiety and she is a total professional. The people at AH Laser were incredibly nice from the moment I walked in the door. The place has a very clean medical setup, but feels modern and relaxing. They got me all registered and once the paperwork was completed, it was a very short wait for my treatment to begin (5 minutes at the most!). Christina was my technician. Not only was she really, really nice and non-judgemental, but she made me feel confident that she knew what she was doing, and that she could answer all of my questions. I'm certain that every technician would be just as accomodating. The treatment itself was incredibly easy - it took about 20 minutes for her to laser my whole chin area, neck, sides of the face, and upper lip. I was afraid that it was going to be really, really painful, but when she was using the laser on the sides of my face and neck, I actually asked her, "Did you start yet?" The only time I winced was when the laser hit the most coarse hairs (on my chin, mostly, and upper lip). It did feel like a rubber band snap, but without the pressure of an actual rubber band hitting the skin. The laser has a cooling mechanism (like a cold fan) that helped a lot. The 'rubber band snap' would last 1 second, and then the pain was over. Christina gave me a 'stress ball' to squeeze in case I needed it, but I never even used it. I was very pleasantly surprised. Afterwards, my chin and neck were a little bit red. I went home and took a shower, exfoliated, and then the redness was gone. For about 1 week, I experienced some swelling within the follicles, which only resulted in small bumps that I could feel, but couldn't even see. AH Laser assured me that it was completely normal since laser is a heat treatment, and that it would go away shortly. After that 1st week, the bumps disappeared and my chin and neck have been completely smooth! I only have to shave once every 2-3 days now, and all it takes is softly running the razor over the surface, instead of the full-on "shaving cream & close shaves" I had to do twice a day previously. I cannot wait for my 2nd and 3rd treatments -- if the hair growth has already stopped so much after the 1st treatment, I can't even imagine how great this will be after all of my treatments are complete. I highly, strongly recommend AH Laser Aesthetics. They made me feel great about what I was doing, and now I feel really great about myself in general. It's affordable and reasonable, and so worth it, to never have to worry about the hair growth again!! read more

I was a bit skeptical about buying a second Groupon for a laser package (I had a really bad experience at a cosmetic surgeon's office in Park Ridge) , until I found out two of my friends were already coming to AH Laser. I purchased two groupons, which equaled one large area, and per the recommendation of my friends booked an appointment with Kasia. Kasia was absolutely wonderful. She's professional, friendly, and did everything possible to make me comfortable (yes, laser does hurt a bit). I even booked a couple microdermabrasion appointments with her because she did such a fantastic job with the lasering.
