The absolute worst "doctor" ...doesn't know why you're there...ever. Procedures don't work. Rude staff. Incompetent

Dr. Thousand took the time to listen to my concerns and calmed my nerves. Highly recommended. I had little to no pain and if I ever need another root call he will be my first call!

I payed my bill in full and then the insurance sent them a check, which they kept. I called to inquire about the discrepancy. I talked to one girl & was put on hold and transferred, without notice. The 2nd girl advised me to call my insurance company. So, I did. The insurance company called the office and we did a 3 way call. Becky, who handles the insurance and billing was beyond rude. I never raised my voice, yet she was screaming at me. I asked her why she was so hostile & angry. She accused me of talking over her, which I didn't do. I ended up hanging up on her because she was so out of control. I will never be back to this office, which is a shame because everyone was pretty nice. One bad apple can ruin the bunch. UPDATE.... I just received a call from Dr. Thousands office. The Dr. had heard about what happened and how I was talked to and treated. His office was overly apologetic. They have dealt with the employee, appropriately and made things right. I have never written a review before and I really appreciate this office, caring about me, as their patient and not being alright with how I was treated. This is truly a relief because like I stated, Dr. Thousand and his assistants, were amazing.

I went there to get a partial for my 4 missing teeth in the upper front and nothing else. Obviously that didn't make him enough money and he tried to talk me into extensive restauration before he would even consider giving me a partial. He called it work ethic, I call it pure greed. He insisted I need a cavity fixed, that was allegedly active, eventually root canal. I know it's not active because it was that way 2 years ago already and hasn't changed since I did precautions myself to arrest it. You learn more about dental hygiene on Youtube than from dentists that only have Dollar signs in their eyes. Then he insisted, I would grind at night and that had to be adressed as well. I never grinded in my entire life. This man has no idea. When I told him several times that I do not have the funds to have all the work he wanted to do done, he refused to treat me. Now I have to spend even more money with my limited funds to find another dentist who isn't as greedy as this one and does only what I am asking him to do. I find it obsurd that you have to pay for a sales pitch when every contractor on earth offers you a free estimate. The Dr title is something that makes them feel superior to everyone else. Everyone who reads this review and is in need of some work that can wait 5 more years, WAIT , because in 5 years there will be a medication that can regrow a third set of teeth. Look it up on youtube. It has been developed by Japanese scientists. Then all these greedy dentists can close their doors forever.

My hygiene assistant, LaShante' and hygienist, Heather were great, friendly, and knowledgeable. They made my visit so comfortable, pleasant, and actually fun!! So my 4-star review is limited to those 2 individuals. I cannot say the same for other staff members. One of the individuals who sits you down to get you ready was not hospitable and bed side manner was terrible. I have a very small mouth and always request the smaller xray process. While my hygienist has never had a problem with that request, she refused to do it and it was a more than 30-minute process to get her to understand. She even moved me to another room and caused my appointment to be moved to after another client because of this. One other issue which anyone might want to consider is cost. I believe they are higher but they cannot charge more than my insurance will allow. So, if you do not have insurance you might want to compare prices.

I've had a spike in my BP the week before Christmas and have been unable to speak to or communicate with anyone. I left a detailed message the morning of the 23rd and finally got a callback at 3:36pm. I returned the call at 4:03pm and they were closed. The rude answering service said to call back Thursday the 26th (today). I called this morning and the same type of rude person said call back on Monday the 30th. I asked can I leave a message for "Jen" as I was asked to do? The answer was NO, No one's on Call, No one to speak with and you can't leave a message. Sad, the only only alternative is Mayo in JAX.

I had a catheterization procedure done by Dr. Amit Nanavati on 05/26/22. I had been suffering from…read moreafib and was referred by Dr. Huijian Wang to Dr. Nanavati for the catheterization procedure (Wang had done a failed cardioversion and judged that my heart was too weak for an ablation procedure) The catheterization procedure used "contrast", a dye injected to be able to see the heart action. According to my Primary Care Physician doctor, it is a very bad thing to administer contrast to someone with kidney failure and he strictly avoided ordering procedures with contrast because of my chronic kidney failure. Wang and Nanvadi of course knew of my chronic kidney disease (CKD) and issues with using contrast but neither doctor advised me of the issue prior to the procedure. Neither Wang or Nanavadi in fact provided any rationale for my doing a catheterization; I should have been more alert to this but was not sufficiently cautious prior to agreeing to the procedure. I found out that contrast was being used at the very last minute at the very beginning of the procedure (anesthesia was about to start) and told the anesthesiologist doctor (unfortunately his name is not included in the procedure notes) and Dr. Nanavati NOT to go ahead with the procedure, but they went ahead anyway. Notes from the procedure say "All participants affirmatively agreed to proceed with this study". This is an outright lie. The notes also say "The risks, benefits, and alternatives to the procedure were explained to the patient and informed consent was obtained." This is an outrageous lie: the risks and benefits to the procedure were NEVER explained. After the procedure I noted that my kidneys were not producing any urine for almost a full day after the procedure so I went to the emergency room on 5/27/23, where the ER doctors noted that my kidney function had dramatically worsened after the procedure. My kidney function glomerular filtration rate (GFR) reading after the catheterization went from above 15 to 8, which signifies, according to my nephrologist doctor, "end stage kidney failure", a death sentence. When I told Dr. Nanavati about my visit to the Emergency Room after the catheterization procedure in the post-op on 06/27/22 he said nothing. In fact, he just stood by the door wanting to make a quick exit and offered no post-up updates at all. He just left. Nanavadi is not only guilty of malpractice he is guilty of manslaughter. The kidney failure has caused pain throughout my body (mostly wrists, hands, fingers, legs, possibly gout) and low hemoglobin needing shots continuously for the two years after the procedure and getting progressively worse. Nanavati caused "Contrast-Induced Nephropathy" with the procedure, which is a condition understood and documented, e.g. see "Contrast-Induced Nephropathy" by T. G. Gleason and "Contrast-Induced Nephropathy, Pathophysiology, Risk Factors, & Prevention" by M. A. Hossain. Nanavati should never have proceeded with the catheterization procedure and Wang should never have recommended it.
