Rainy day is not what you want when you go for medical care. Wide open parking lot and a facility whose exterior hints at healing. I thought I had a respiratory infection of something like that. The staff carefully examined me, took the requisite tests, and treated me as if I was a long time patient. In fact, I told the doctor that I have been looking for a doctor and I asked if they ever take patients ... you know making the Urgent Care their personal care doctor. Sadly, he said no. The most important part of my visit ... the life saving part of my visit ... when the doctor came back to the examination room he calmly told me I didn't have a respiratory infection. He then asked, "Which emergency room are you going to go to?" Wait, an ER? Me??? The guy who hasn't been to a doctor in ages ... Yes, underlying what I thought was a sinus infection was a heart issue that might have killed me in a week or two but this Urgent Care doctor calmly and professionally directed me to the ER giving a quick explantion of his concerns. One week later I had two stents in my heart and a new regimen of medications, which I would not have had if I had not gone here. He got it right ... I am alive and doing quite well. FIVE STARS ... Sadly this urgent care location has gone downhill. Had great experiences a few years ago but last couple times it was not the same. The woman at the front desk is extremely rude and not helpful. Not sure why she is still there. If she doesn't like dealing with people she needs to find another job, preferably not working with sick/injured patients. Quality of care from the doctors there is hit or miss. Not something you want to take your chances on when you need help. read more

I usually have a huge fear of going to the dr, however, every time I've gone to AFC Twp, it's been a good experience. The girls at the desk are nice. I saw Dr. Frank Wacynski (sp?) twice; Once a few years ago when I had a virus and once about a week ago for something else minor. Both times he was friendly, helpful & down to earth. I initially wanted to see him again, as I had to go back to switch an antibiotic he gave me, but he wasn't in a couple days ago when I went back. I saw the provider who was there at the time. He was a PA named.. Andrew I think? Very tall & looks like he stepped out of a Greys Anatomy episode. But he was sooo kind, very thorough and I could tell he truly loved medicine. It's been years since I've seen a Dr & thought, "wow they're passionate about what they do," but I truly got that vibe from him. Staff here is A+ and I'll keep coming for any future needs! read more

I was burned literally for going here. I have been to this urgent care several times. Recently I went there for a prescription for poison ivy. I received a prescription for steroids and for a topical ointment. When I picked up the ointment I noticed it was clear, not white like the prescription I had previously. After putting the ointment on my arms for three days, I noticed my arms were still red and inflamed and itchy. I found my old topical ointment for poison ivy and noticed it was 0.025%, my new prescription was 0.1%; my new prescription was FOUR TIMES STRONGER and burned the places I had been applying it. I went to AFC, asked to see a copy of my prescription to see if the nurse practioner I saw had asked for the wrong strength or if the pharmacy had filled it incorrectly. The nurse practioner had ordered the wrong strength. The receptionist apologized, but I never heard anything else from the facility. I will not return. A burn on my arms is a small thing, although it is just now clearing up after two weeks. A wrong prescription could have resulted in way worse health results. read more

Filled out my questionnaire prior to my visit and selected CVS as my pharmacy. Went to CVS, there was no prescription. Called back and asked which CVS, clerk responded with "Cross keys". Assuming they meant Cross Keys CVS which did not have it either. I stopped back and asked for a hard copy since it was not at CVS. They stated "cross keys pharmacy" which isn't a pharmacy I go to, they ended up being closed so I asked if they could print hard copies or resend to CVS which they declined. read more

Absolutely AWFUL!!!!! If you have to get tested for COVID prior to a procedure do NOT ago here unless you WANT COVID!!!!!!!! I waited in my car for 2 hours to be tested per my doctors orders prior to a surgical procedure. No problem. They then called me into the SMALL waiting area with 15-20 potentially COVID positive patients for another HOUR AND A HALF!!!!! What is the point of this?!?! I'm getting tested to make sure I don't have Covid yet being exposed to COVID patients for and hour and a half in a small room with no ventilation!!! Now I am waiting to hear back from my doctor to see if I need to reschedule my procedure due to my potential COVID exposure. Why they couldn't just have me wait in my car OR OUTSIDE the entire time is beyond me!!!! Do not go here!!! read more

I had a problem with my ears. I went to Urgent care on a Sunday morning. They processed my "first time patient" paper work quickly and I was on my way. The Medical Assistants and Doctors were friendly and professional. I received a competent diagnosis and was done in about 40 minutes. Pleasant experience! read more

The care given here most of the time is great. But one thing I didn't like was when I was receiving care from Dr. Frank Wilczynski he made a remark. During my exam for vertigo, he asked me to touch my nose, I asked him which hand. He thought I was being funny, I was serious. He called me a wise a$$. I dont play or talk this way as very offended. Been here twice. Once on Christmas Eve with a pulled back and today with my son who has a throat infection. Both times were super fast. Christmas Eve they were crowded and I only waited 15 mins. Today it was just my son and one other person. We were seen immediately. This place is great. They are fast yet efficient. What really makes this place stand out though is the staff. Evrybody here is so friendly, and the doctor is awesome. He's so kind, and was great with my son. He gave him medication but also takes the time to tell you other things like tea and honey etc. He did this with my back also, and it's appreciated. My sons rapid strep came back negative but it was obvious something was going on so he took a culture to send to the lab also. Again appreciated. It's so clean and the back is indistinguishable from a hospital ER. Also they accept Medicaid which is rare. read more

Avoid if at all possible. Covid testing is the worst. Go anywhere else. Had 2 different experiences with them and the lab they use. First time the clinic misspelled my name and therefore I could not retrieve my results. I had to to back into the clinic and spend an hour fixing their error. When I entered there were three employees behind the desk all on their cell phones and none made eye contact. My husband was promised his Covid test results within 24 hours (which seems ridiculously long) 25 hours after testing -- no results. I called and they said it is 24 hours after the lab picks up the samples which was late in the afternoon, even though his test was first thing in the morning. This was not explained at the time he took the test. read more

We have been here so many times and we have always had an amazing experience. I truly feel like the entire office actually cares about their patients. So many times I have had to bring my kids and it was during busy times and they have been so accommodating. The office manager Christine is incredible. She is so helpful and sweet with my little girls going out of her way to make sure they were comfortable and not scared while being at the doctors. Today they were able to take my husband and remove an infected abscess on his back that our primary wouldn't do. Our primary (through another office) literally told us to just find an urgent care and that was it. We love it there and so thankful they are so close to us! read more

Absolutely awful experience! I called ahead to ask if there was a long wait and I was told no. I was only 15 minutes away so I went straight there. When I went in I grabbed a clipboard and was asked to fill it out in the car then bring it back. I did so and then was told to sit in the car and they'd call me when they were ready. An hour and a 1/2 later I get a call to come inside. Then they couldn't find my paperwork but said to sit anyway. Another hour goes by and I ask if they still have me on the list since they lost my paperwork. They tell me yes. I'm next. Another 1/2 hour goes by and another patient and I are talking about how many other people are going in before us. I go ask again and am told that those are all covid testing and there's different areas. Then the receptionist gets an attitude because me and the other patient are talking about how bad this is. First off if there's that many covid tests they should have more docs on for regular emergencies. Second, if you're getting backed up you should be making walk in covid patients wait until you're caught up. Finally I go in the room and see a nurse practitioner (mike?) I can't remember because I was so upset that day because of what had happened earlier that morning. . He had his feet up on the desk drawer. Not once got up to examine me. The nurse was the only one who looked at it. Basically brushed me off saying it didn't require an antibiotic. I said that was the only reason I sat there for three hours! He told me I could come back if it got worse. I told him there's no way I'd want to come back after this day. I was almost in tears from the day I had had. I tell him nvm I'm not doing the X-ray and he finally says he'll write prescription. I was in there a total of 10 minutes and like I said he never even looked at my hand. Didn't ask if I'm UTD on my tetanus shot( it was a metal item incident). I work in healthcare and if I ever gave the service I received here I would have my ass chewed out. No compassion here. I never ever write bad reviews but I literally came out to the car crying to my husband because my day was wasted and the care I got was not worth my time. Will never recommend this place! read more

The people who work here are very polite and kind so this is no reflection There needs to be a better system for covid testing and getting results. They only do walk ins for covid testing and it is first come, first served. So there is a chance they may run out or they may not have time to test you. You also have to come back and forth through the doors 3 times. Once to come in and get the forms (fill out in car), once to return the forms (fill out in car) and once when you go in for your appointment. That is a LOT of touching door handles since they don't have automatic doors and if you have covid that's not a great thing. Did not see any sanitizing of surfaces or door handles despite a lot of coming and going. Wait was 2.5 hours in my car to be tested and it's day 4, still waiting on results. You only get a call back for a negative result, so I had to continually call back to check on mine because I need proof of negative result to return to work. When I did call to ask about it, the wait time was about a half an hour each time. Not a great experience, I am sure that under other circumstances things would have been better. read more

I went for a pre-op COVID-19 Test today. The front desk, the nurse that brought me back, and the tech that did the test were very nice. After my test I was taken to a room to be seen by a doctor. He opened the door and said "what did you do?". He took me by surprise and then he repeated the question. I said "what do you mean?" He said, "well you're from **** ****, that explains it." I was also wearing a shirt from my child's middle school and he asked about it. He asked me twice where my child went to school and when I answered the same thing twice, he lectured me on the meaning of past, present, and future tense. I've NEVER been spoken to like that by a doctor. Dr. W. Is very condescending and I will not return and I will be spreading my experience. read more

I went here for the first time last week and had one of the best experiences ever(that you can have in an urgent care). Everyone on the staff from the receptionists to the triage nurse up to the doctor (Dr. Carl Vitola) were fantastic. They were caring, friendly, and attentive. I even got a phone call the very next morning from the doctor himself asking how I was doing. I've never received such personalized care and they definitely made me feel like I mattered when I was there. If you have to choose an urgent care, this is the place. If you happen to go when Dr. Vitola is there, you will get the best care. He is awesome! read more

This urgent care has never let me down when it has come to the health of my 3 daughters and/or myself. Dr. Carl Vitola and Dr. Frank Wilczynski have both correctly diagnosed and treated my girls for things their pediatrician missed. Recently my 7 yr old had strep with a terrible rash, fever and vomiting. Despite taking her to her pedi and calling 2 days in a row after they dismissed her signs and symptoms as a virus since the rapid strep test came back negative. Dr. Carl was confident it was strep and started my daughter on the needed medication. The next day after 2 doses of the prescribed medication her rash, which spread all over her body, started to dissipate and her fever reduced. 24 hours later the pediatrician called with the results of the culture being positive for a strain of strep that the rapid test cannot identify. Dr. Carl saved us a trip to the ER and helped my very sick little girl feel better. Dr. Wilczynski has caught ear infections that were missed and manifested after being cleared by the pedi office. They are there, available and open when our pedi or PCP are closed. When I go to the doctor or urgent, it is because I've let the illness run it's course and our bodies need help to win the battle or my instills telling me to "just make sure". I've never had a bad experience and have always been treated with respect and feeling like these doctors, nurses, medical assistants and staff care! You can trust this center. The service at this urgent care was phenomenal! Nurse Wanda is a gem! Alex is so nice. He greeted me in was so professional. They diagnosed me quickly. Their diagnosis was just what I suspected.
