Most of the time I felt nothing other than the head of the laser device gliding across the skin. Whatever machine they are using, it's clearly top of the line. And the price was quite reasonable compared to the other salons I contacted. Some of the quotes I received were downright absurd. Juan was very down to earth and reasonable. I am an Asian male-to-female transgender and have so far received 6 treatments over the last 6 months for my bikini area and full legs with clearly visible results. Hair growth has been reduced by about 85% on my legs and 60% in my bikini area with fewer and finer hair growing back between each treatment. Fortunately, I did not experience any negative side effects from the treatments. As a biological male, my hair was thicker than that of women, but the hair reduction has been very effective. I have Colleen as my laser technician, and she is very experienced with laser hair removal. She will never rush through a session, and is very meticulous even when treating a large area. She slows down for you while treating sensitive areas where you need a longer interval to let the pain subside. She will always listen to your pain level and adjust accordingly. She has also been very respectful and understanding of my situation as a transgendered client. I am 100% satisfied with Colleen's service. I feel that my privacy is kept very well, and I never meet other patients during my treatment. Milan is one of the few laser hair removal facilities that can perform hair removal in the bikini area for male/transgendered clients. The laser system is powerful so that the pain in the sensitive areas can be high, but in turn the treatments have been definitely effective for me. The laser system used here have a cooling gas that is emitted with the laser, reducing the discomfort. The only reason why I did not treat my upper body is because I have already completed electrolysis treatment from a different provider in the past. If I had a need to remove hair from other parts of the body with laser, I would have definitely selected Milan. I would say the pricing is what you would expect from a high-quality laser hair removal service, but given the excellent service I am receiving, I can fully understand why. And yes, you did mention the visceral fat issue so that lets you off the hook for non-results. The experience was also less that optimal You change clothing in the treatment room. The room is cluttered with 'stuff' all over, there is only a chair to sit on, no curtain for any privacy, nor any lockers, cubbies or anywhere to put your clothing or belongings. I am pretty sure the treatment chair/table is not sanitized between clientele because everything is sticky. Even the clock in the room does not work. You are not told to bring any treatment distractions-fortunately I brought a book- nor are any distractions provided, no TV, no headphones, no tablet. You just lie on the treatment table for however many hours that treatment session takes. When your treatment is finished, you get redressed in the treatment room. Some wet wipes are provided to help remove some of the residue. Again, no privacy. you need to go home immediately to shower and wash your clothes. You are sticky from shoulders to knees, you are marked up with magic marker and look like a meat picture from the butcher, and your clothes are a mess from your stickiness.
