Bottom Line: The initial consultation is not free. Essentially, it costs $100 to sit down with the doctor. I was never told to get ultrasounds instead of standard mammograms. And I was definitely never told that implants are not FDA approved. In fact in 2011 at 48yrs old I was told no problems with implants all problems were resolved they were safe! No need to replace I'd be dead before I needed replacement. I developed capsular contracture soon after my first surgery and had to undergo a second surgery less than a year later -- to remove and replace the same implants. I should've stopped right then.
