I was running late due to personal reasons and Karen was super sweet and was still willing to work me in, for a shorter time of course, but I was still able to have the majority of my massage. I was so grateful to her! We talked about my personal needs for the massage and what areas I wanted focused on and she managed to take care of each on and even give me suggestions on stretches for those areas as well which I felt was extra and great quality service. The masseuse asked, "medium or hard," I replied medium. The upper back and neck felt great, but the lower back portion was way too hard and really painful over the bony parts. I wanted to suck it up, but I should have said something, especially since I'm in pain today. There actually is a visible bruise in my right lumbar area. I get massages once a year or less, but I've never experienced that. It was $50 for 30 minutes full body (mostly back) and I tipped $10 (20%).

Initially I was a little hesitant to book with someone with very few reviews. Especially seeing as…read morethey would be coming out to our secluded Airbnb location, but after talking with Jenia, she made me feel confident to book three separate appointments for the people traveling in our party. Jenia maintained COVID protocols (masking up and sanitizing, and changing blankets/sheets in between each of us). The Reiki experience was fascinating. Each of us had prior experiences with various massage techniques, but never had we encountered the Reiki combination. I personally could feel the heat radiating from her hands through me. My pain points, caused by a herniated disc, misaligned hips, and hunched shoulders were all targeted with precision accuracy. At the end of the session Jenia showed us each valuable take-aways of yoga postures and self-massage to help us continue our journey of healing far after our sessions concluded. The tension in my neck and shoulders were completely released and I felt like she took me from feeling like a no-neck platypus to a graceful long-neck swan. It was an enriching experience and I will definitely book with her again should my travels take me into the area.
