Came to them with an issue where cylinders were misfiring. Got me in that day & got the car done in a couple days for an affordable price.

I was told I needed a wheel alignment and agreed to have that done since there was one car on the rack and I was next. Four hours later the car was ready. As I was getting in the car, I saw a greasy hand print on the light colored fabric on the drivers seat. My radio station had been switched and no more than a block away my check engine light came on. I returned to Grease Monkey where I stayed for another hour as they tried to figure out what happened. After over an hour and no one making eye contact, a tech came out to tell me all of the screws in my air box were stripped and a new one would be ordered. They said they would order a new one and call me. I called the store mid week and asked if it was ordered and they said no. Was going to get ordered, I asked. We're talking about it was the reply. So, after five hours in their waiting room, over $250 spent, I have a car with a check engine light on, stained upholstery and a ruined airbox and the 4th of July weekend coming up. Things happen, but the lack of respect Grease Monkey has shown me as a customer and my car is unacceptable and disappointing.

The first time I had to use them there was a little bit of wait but they still got my car in quickly. They are honest with the pricing and are straight to the point on what needs to get done. Moving to a new city is scary, especially when I need car repairs and my car is not new, so I will need repairs. Someone recommended Wally's as honest, very good, but not the least expensive. I checked out their reviews and they were excellent, so I gave them a try. I had the car in for an oil change, front end alignment, and just look around to see what is what. I had a small leak which I photographed and showed them so they could check this out. My car is nineteen years old and is great shape all around with low mileage. I'm holding out on replacement because I really don't want another car. My Toyota Sequoia is amazing. Well, they diagnosed a major problem and one I suspected was present. I needed new axles in the front of my car which was causing an issue with steering. The steering wheel was extremely difficult to turn and on a road trip back to Boise we suspected something was wrong. The leak was something totally different and I will mention this later in my review. I found Jack at the main desk was very willing to explain things to me and I had a lot of questions before spending major monies for repairs. I decided to have the work done, they found me a loaner, and when I picked my car up the next day it was amazing how much easier the steering wheel turned. Definitely the difficult steering problem was fixed. But now I had a leak of black grease on the garage floor. So I photographed the leaked black fluid and they took the car back. Again they provided me with a loaner and they found some grease which could have been causing the leak. So after the cleanup I drove my car back home. But the next morning the leak was still there. So back in it went. Now I don't blame Wally's for this need to be looked at again. It turns out they were being cautious with my money. I truly appreciate this! Again they could have wracked up a lot more charges and they didn't. During the replacement of the CV Axle one of the seals began to leak. This was not a cheap fix, and they could have upped the charge initially and replaced both in the initial work. As it turns out they only had to replace one seal, not both, and that saved me a lot of money. I like a cautious mechanic! Definitely saved me money and repaired only what was needed. As to the leak I initially took the car in for...turns out it is an air conditioning fluid leak and can wait until Spring time to fix it. So again they are a cautious, but careful repair shop. I will continue to use Wally's as my repair shop. And grateful that they are able to work on nineteen year old cars!

Short-staffed, and more work than we can handle, which leaves minimal time for price shopping. Plenty of other shops in this town to choose from. Would you like a recommendation? Extremely disappointed with both the quality of work, reliability, and communication from this…read moreshop. Truck was in for a no start diagnostic. When asking some basic questions about the diagnostic work that had been done, I was told by the mechanic himself working on my truck that he was "not that familiar with Diesel trucks." Took me multiple phone calls over multiple days to get a solid answer on what they had done to diagnose my truck. After I was quoted an astronomical amount to do a simple job, I paid for the diag service and I decided to have the vehicle towed away from Ross Diesel. I asked to have the truck locked while outside because it was going to take a couple days (over a weekend) for me to get to it. When I arrived to tow the vehicle, the truck was indeed left unlocked with thousands of dollars of tools inside. They were not thorough while putting my truck back together after disassembly. My fuel bowl was left partially unscrewed, air filter hose was slid onto the turbo but they forgot to tighten it, was just slid onto it. Air filter alone could have cost thousands of dollars in repairs if it had not been caught. I spoke with Ross personally. I understand mistakes happen, and I wanted to attempt to let him know the poor experience I had. If it were my name on the shop I would want to know so I could improve. After being told that I would have had to pay for them to reassemble (an air filter and fuel filter lid?) I was told by him that my truck being in the shop wasted their time, (likely because I elected to not pay the high price tag for a simple repair) and that if I didn't "trust their work, don't come back", and then was hung up on. I would highly recommend taking your vehicles to a shop who can communicate better and do a thorough job.
