A major move in 2021 to Idaho Falls gives me the ability to explore new businesses. It is exciting for me to be able to review these offerings on Yelp. Moving to a new city is scary, especially when I need car repairs and my car is not new, so I will need repairs. Someone recommended Wally's as honest, very good, but not the least expensive. I checked out their reviews and they were excellent, so I gave them a try. I had the car in for an oil change, front end alignment, and just look around to see what is what. I had a small leak which I photographed and showed them so they could check this out. My car is nineteen years old and is great shape all around with low mileage. I'm holding out on replacement because I really don't want another car. My Toyota Sequoia is amazing. Well, they diagnosed a major problem and one I suspected was present. I needed new axles in the front of my car which was causing an issue with steering. The steering wheel was extremely difficult to turn and on a road trip back to Boise we suspected something was wrong. The leak was something totally different and I will mention this later in my review. I found Jack at the main desk was very willing to explain things to me and I had a lot of questions before spending major monies for repairs. I decided to have the work done, they found me a loaner, and when I picked my car up the next day it was amazing how much easier the steering wheel turned. Definitely the difficult steering problem was fixed. But now I had a leak of black grease on the garage floor. So I photographed the leaked black fluid and they took the car back. Again they provided me with a loaner and they found some grease which could have been causing the leak. So after the cleanup I drove my car back home. But the next morning the leak was still there. So back in it went. Now I don't blame Wally's for this need to be looked at again. It turns out they were being cautious with my money. I truly appreciate this! Again they could have wracked up a lot more charges and they didn't. During the replacement of the CV Axle one of the seals began to leak. This was not a cheap fix, and they could have upped the charge initially and replaced both in the initial work. As it turns out they only had to replace one seal, not both, and that saved me a lot of money. I like a cautious mechanic! Definitely saved me money and repaired only what was needed. As to the leak I initially took the car in for...turns out it is an air conditioning fluid leak and can wait until Spring time to fix it. So again they are a cautious, but careful repair shop. I will continue to use Wally's as my repair shop. And grateful that they are able to work on nineteen year old cars! read more

What I would give to have an auto shop 1/2 as good as Wallys where I live. We were in town visiting my in laws and I took their two cars into get "wellness checks". My father in law had a stroke recently and was the one that usually took care of all this stuff. Mike and Jack answered the phone on different occasions and both were fantastic. They understood the situations and not once were we ever concerned that they were trying to provide us any recommendations or services that were not needed. August 24th. Not impressed with the sloppy mess that was done to my car. I asked for an oil change. When I got my car back, the oil plug was not properly tightened, my oil filter was not properly installed, seal was pinched. Which caused the leak. There was oil spilled all over inside the engine as well. Please take care of your next customer better. read more

I would have done zero stars if possible. this was the WORST experience with a car dealership/shop we have ever had. they lied about when they started working on it and didn't send out to our insurance after my husband continually asked. they kept saying, "yeah, we will do that today". then they didn't even fix our car and their prices are TERRIBLE! A real dealership that specializes with the cars were a lot cheaper. they also said to not bother billing our insurance... then they started tearing into our car and when they put everything back, they didn't refill any of the oils they had drained. we needed up having to take it somewhere else. they have been unreliable, rude, difficult to work with, and we are never going back to them. terrible experience. read more

So I had power problem to my car. Check engine light was on.So I toke it in. All they did was plug there monitor thing to my car. But the thing didn't pull up any codes. Instead of them look at what symptom my car had they said it was fine. Then big o tires said that I need shocks for my car. So told them about it Wally's said they didn't need it. Then I told them about my heater to my car. That the thermostat had to be changed. They fixed it drop my car off from 7:30 to 6:30. 300 buck later for a 20 $ part bull shit! And my car still has problems with power. They discrimanate against women I hope people Reed this post so they don't wast there time and money on there stupid ness!!!! read more

I came in because I was in Idaho and my check engine light was on. The guy at Checkers told me i needed a fuel sensor replaced, so I came to Wally's to see if I could/should get that fixed before driving back to California. I asked the guy at Wally's if he could replace the sensor for me and if I could get an oil change. I said if he could fix it I had 3 hours before I needed to be somewhere. So I sit there for 2 and 1/2 hours and finally ask about my car. The guy says "oh, yeah," goes in the back and tells them to start on my oil change. 30 minutes later he tells me I need a sensor replaced (which is what I told him when I got there) and that he could do it in a few days. So I get a bill for $90 dollars for the oil change and for him to tell me what I said when I walked through the door. I was so upset that they made me wait 3 hours for an oil change!!! I only said I had the time if they cold fix it that day! Such a waste of my life! read more
