Dr. David Larson, or "Dr. Dave" as I like to call him, is the best dentist I've ever had to the…read morepoint I actually look forward to going to the dentist...even for the four fillings I had to get after being afraid to see a dentist for ten years! For me, this is why I absolutely am very fond of Dr. Dave as my dentist: 1. There's no rush job. I think Dr. Dave is one of the few dentists these days that doesn't buy into the volume business, in-and-out in 15 minutes job. It's nice to know there are dentists that still take the time to understand and explain your dental situation. 2. Less about the office, more about the quality exam/treatment. Dr. Dave's dental office is in a building that more so resembles a community college from the late 80s/early 90s BUT he has the best possible apparatus to make your exam/procedure go very well such as instant dental images, no metal contraption to hold your mouth uncomfortable open and absolutely, positively, no pain when getting numbing medication before getting a filling replaced/tooth worked on. While I've gone to some dental offices where they have a big fancy tv in the waiting room, bottled water, and a hot towel, none really compare to just having a skilled dentist that does care. 3. Bends over backwards a bit. If you're in super dire need, I know Dr. Dave will try to make some arrangement, even when he's supposed to be closed to get patients in. 4. Dr. Dave will refer you out if need be. I needed four wisdom teeth removed per Dr. Dave's recommendation and recommended an oral surgeon to see, even explained the risks and my situation better than the oral surgeon he recommended I see. Although Dr. Dave does admit he can do wisdom teeth, my case was a tough one to which he said I'd be better off seeing someone who was more experienced in this. I appreciate his honesty. 5. Big parking lot and not on a super busy street. Compared to some other places, Dr. Dave's office is in a big parking lot that offers plentiful and free parking that isn't on a busy street so getting there should be easy. So...why wouldn't you see Dr. Dave? 1. You don't like dentists over the age of 40. 2. You will only go to fancy dental offices. 3. You just can't make the drive to Burien. 4. You already have a dentist you're fine with. 5. You don't want to see a dentist. 6. You work on your own teeth. 7. You don't like people named David. That said, if you need a dentist and live or are willing to drive to Burien, I'd go see Dr. Dave.

I have had several cavities replaced and my front tooth filling done here. Scheduling is super easy and flexible. They always call and text you reminders for yearly cleaning and any appointments I have had some terrible experiences in the past with other dentist so finally having one that's reliable and experienced has made all the difference.

The surgeon was very attuned to my pain and the procedure went by so quickly, I was shocked--in a good way because I expected it to be longer and more painful (I had two teeth removed). He was available for check ups when I did experience pain which is huge if you've ever tried to heal from a wisdom tooth extraction. The dentist on staff are very kind and informative. They asked about some of my concerns, drafted a treatment plan and walked me through it step by step, identifying the areas of need and what the next steps we needed to take to address different issues. I scheduled a cleaning today and shout out to the dental hygienist, (Gabby, I believe)! She was amazing! She very welcoming and considerate of my pain threshold but also reassuring and caring. I also appreciate that the front desk staff are professional and very helpful especially with scheduling and insurance--researching what procedures are covered and the price points. I never feel like this office is overcharging or trying to price gouge. Ive been to other places in the past where procedures are pricey and questionable but I genuinely trust that this office has my health and best interest in mind when it comes to the treatment plan. When I left the office today I kept thinking to myself, "I've never felt so comfortable and taken care of at a dental office" and that's the kind of experience you want at a dentist office. They also recommended I get a deep cleaning, although I had one within the last year and my insurance only covers them every 3 years. I was hesitant to continue going here after I found out Dr. Hahn left the practice, but I called to make an appointment for my regular checkup and they refused to do it unless I scheduled the deep cleaning (which I won't do until I can get it covered - it's over $400 per quadrant out of pocket). When Dr. Hahn, and Jordan (the hygienist) were there, they had no problem doing my regular x-rays and cleaning a couple times a year until I was eligible for the deep cleaning. It seems that with both of them gone, I would have to pay for an expensive treatment that is not necessary more than every few years just to be seen. I'm starting to understand why the best people left the practice. The customer service is awful and they do not try to make you feel comfortable. I'm quite sure I will find better care elsewhere in the Seattle area.

But my favourite person there is Crystal! she's so sweet and kind and never misses a beat when it comes to you. She always lets me know the dates of my appointments more than once! She's a sweetheart and isn't afraid to show a little compassion and empathy, and the only dental office person i know to accept hugs! But she still has to do her job! so cancel before it's too late, and don't blame others for your own mistakes either, we're all adults here. :) All in All, i've been going to this dentistry all my life, my parents and grandparents have gone here and so will my kids!
