Over the weekend, I unfortunately broke two teeth on my upper denture and felt quite helpless. As a retired dental assistant, I knew what the repair process involved, so I remembered that Affordable Dentures has an in-house lab. First thing Monday morning I drove to their office in Cookeville, TN. They were booked, but they had me wait until 8:30 and worked me in. By 2:00 p.m., I had my teeth back and was complete again. I recently went to this place for a new set of dentures. The last set that I got from them lasted almost 25 years. They were very worn down after that long. The front desk staff was very professional, friendly and respectful. I went back for my impressions, they made a wax mold of my gums. When I tried on the wax mold. I told Dr. Vincent multiple times that I did not like them, that they were too big for my mouth, and the teeth are entirely too long and big. He says that he is more concerned with the suction, the fit, and if my teeth line up, he tells me that he can fix that and asked me if I was happy with everything else. I told him they don't fit well. He said they could fix that. He said are you happy with everything else? I said yes as long as you can fix them. He said we'll fix them. He says if you were happy with everything else. Go ahead and sign this paper saying that you're happy with everything. I told him but I'm not happy with my teeth. I do not like them or the way they look in this wax mold he said yes, but we can fix that, if you are happy with everything else, go ahead and sign that paper. So I signed the paper without reading it, ( yes stupid. I know. That's my fault!) so I wait for five hours to get my actual dentures and they were just like the wax mold. entirely too big for my mouth, teeth came down way too far, The suction was way off, they kept falling down. He tells me to wait and give it about a week to see if my mouth adjust to the dentures, and if you are still unhappy with them, I will make you a new set free of charge. So, I came back in a week because they were still falling down, there was still no suction, my teeth were still entirely too long, and entirely too big. And the dentures themselves were too big for my mouth. Then he tells me he didn't say that, and that he only wrote down that I was concerned with the suction in my file. He didn't put that I was unhappy with the dentures. I didn't like the teeth, or that my teeth were too big and long, or how the dentures were too big in my mouth. So then he tells me my file says I was only concerned with suction of my dentures. I told him because you didn't write what I said and then the long haired blonde dental hygienist beside us starts laughing because I guess she thought something was funny about the situation. He absolutely refused to replace my dentures that i paid over $1,700 for, like he said he would. I would highly advise against going to affordable dentures in Cookeville, Tennessee, for any kind of denture work. Dr. Vincent is arrogant, not an honorable man, very unprofessional, and not a man of his word! The dentist is a great guy. Makes you feel welcome and very nice. The quality of the dentures is pathetic though. And their customer concern is way low. I asked them multiple times if after my exam I could go and get someone to come with me. A driver for when I got my teeth pulled. They said yeah. But when the time came, they kept saying I wouldn't need a driver. Blah blah blah. I left there barely able to walk straight. Gums gushing blood down my chin, in gut wrenching pain, and I had to drive myself home. Get a driver! Don't listen to those idiots. I had to make several stops. A 30 minute drive took almost 2 hours. Then the dentures... They supposedly adjusted them twice before putting them in my mouth. However, when fully in, my teeth are slanted. They're not straight. And it's not a slight slant either. Very noticeable. Your dentures look nothing like your actual teeth. They're extremely small toothed. So no wonder your mouth isn't setting normal. You got mini tictacs for teeth now. Then the top him area on them is sharp and way too big, it literally was slicing skin between my gums and lip. Then the roof of your dentures. Extremely bulky. Your money doesn't go into the teeth. It goes into all the extra gum area on your dentures. So small teeth plus big gums and roof of your mouth equal it feeling like there's no room in your mouth to swallow spit, drink, pudding, soup, anything. You're constantly choking from the lack of room in your mouth. Drinking water literally feels like you're drowning and choking to death. I give the dentist a great review. But patient care and denture quality... absolutely pathetic. Will not be returning and will not be recommending. read more
