While eating at Firehouse Subs, we asked local police deputy, who was also eating there, if he would recommend close-by garage we could take car to to check on noise. He directed us to Alvey's. We arrived at Alvey's who was getting ready to close for the Christmas holidays. We shared our situation with Alvey. He said he would take a look. Drove it and then up on a lift. He said issue with low gear in trans. I wanted to know if it would get us to KC. He said yes but would check with his trans guy, who was also getting ready to shut down for the holidays. Trans guy "yes" said it should make it, too. We thanked Alvey, and asked how much we owed him for his service. He said nothing and Merry Christmas. I would highly recommend Alvey's to others. Thought it's easy work if replace new. They took 5 days, charged me $3250, messed up my transmission. Told me it's nothing to do with them. And I'm not welcomed there whatsoever. I was so irritated, they don't even try to communicate me and help me to solve the problem. Maybe they are good local people. If you are just pass by, you'll get screwed for sure.

Called him and within 20 - 30 minutes he was there to try to give me a helping hand. Although he wasn't able to assist me that evening being that it was late and unable to acquire the parts to do the job, he did give me the name of a reputable service center that could early next morning called Purcell tires and service. Next morning I was towed by Michael from Stinnets towing and within hrs was on the road again and on my way. Thanks again Lyle, Michael and the guys at Pilot and Purcell.

We called him at 1:00 to see how soon he could help us. He was ready ASP, the next morning he called and found us a new set of tires. He was happy to show up and tow the car from the motel to his shop and had us back on the road in no time. He was very nice and communicated the progress often.
